I used to like Scandikitchen, but haven't ordered anything from them since moving to Scotland. Unfortunately, they use the egregious DPD as couriers - not only are DPD unreliable (which I experienc... See more

Poor Customer Service

I ordered some items to be delivered for next day delivery. The items were shown on Scandikitchen's website as available to order.
The next day I received an email advising that there was an error with the website meaning that items showing available to buy were in reality not in stock!
This is not the first time I have experienced problems with Scandikitchen's bad service.
I asked for a refund and have decided never to do business with this company in future. I ordered the same items directly from a company in Denmark with no problems.
I would not recommend this company to anybody. Very unprofessional.

Great products, but really poor choice of delivery company.

Being Scandinavian, I do enjoy a bit of a taste of home and we have been shopping with Scandikitchen on a regular basis.

Never had a problem with the products, bar the one mistake in packaging and a missing item. This was being rectified by the company, so decent customer service from them.

Unfortunately, Scandikitchen use APC Overnight for their deliveries and this has caused issues. The tracking is unreliable and the drivers consistently leave calling cards on the ground around the property. Never had one put through my letter box. They don't follow instructions on how to get into our property and and blame us for living in a gated estate. We have even had a box left outside the gate, but luckily a neighbour found it and delivered it to us.

We really enjoy the products, but are considering never shopping with Scandikitchen again because of the delivery issues. We can get many of the products from Ocado and that could very well be what we will do in the future.

Food is as good as the customer…

Food is as good as the customer service. Went in on a recommendation by a colleague and was thoroughly disappointed. The server was completely fine with another customer and then really short with me, not sure what I'd done to upset her as I was in the shop less than 3 minutes and hadn't said a word until it was my turn to be served. Meatballs and mash at £6.99 - they were nice but nothing to write home about.

No problems at all!

Very easy to order and it got here within a few days! I live in Scotland so I expected it to take a while longer but everything arrived quickly. It was also very well packaged, especially the fragile items like the bottle of mulled wine. The only thing that’s negative is that it’s more expensive than it would’ve been back in Sweden, but that’s totally understandable and I’m just happy to get a little box of home delivered to me, especially things that might be difficult for my family to send to me. Definitely worth the money!

they used to be good.

they used to be good.. but over 7 days for delivery! ended up asking for a refund . such a shame as i have been shopping with them for years . but to take that long (sep is not a busy month) is just not right.

Very disappointed with the order I…

Very disappointed with the order I received and the response when I reported a problem. Virtually all the biscuits I ordered were broken, leaving me a problem as I had organised a get together with a lot of my friends. This is the response I received.
Thank you for your email. I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the order you received.
I am afraid the biscuits are quite fragile so shipping them is a bit risky,
especially in the tin.

We have therefore put a note on our website stating
that "this is a very fragile product that is likely to break during transport.
We recommend getting a refill of biscuits if it is for a present –
we are unable to guarantee the state of the biscuits." Just with this
particular item.

With other products our policy is of course that items should not be damaged
or broken and will of course be refunded if that is the case.
I hope that answers your question and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
if they already knew there was a problem, why not say, all this does for me is rub salt into the problem. So buyer beware this site, don't expect any customer service if you have a problem.

Sadly, not what I hoped for and poor customer service.

Sadly, very disappointed with an online order. Whilst I accept that December deliveries will take longer, 14 days with no warning it will take this long is unacceptable. On arrival, there was an issue with 3 items, a pack of rye bread which had been frozen then defrosted in the 48hrs+ it took to arrive (leaving it way beyond the best before date). A pack of crisp bread was ripped so the contents no longer crisp and a decorative tin which had a large scratch in the top. It took 5 days to respond to my email regarding the items by which time the bread and crisp bread had both been thrown away. I have been offered future credit (though clearly I will not be reordering so this is useless) or a “partial” refund. Considering 2 items have had to be thrown away and one isn’t unfit for the purpose it was bought for, this seems rather less than good customer care. Clearly other reviews on this site have been positive so maybe it is just that they cannot cope with Christmas demand? Either way, I always judge a company by how they deal with problems and sadly, ScandiKitchen falls very short.

Great stuff!

Ordered some treats for a present. Everything delivered on time and the bars of chocolate were not broken. Thank you!

Delivery way later than expected

We made the purchase in december, which of course entitles some busyness, and while they did write on their website that due to christmas there was no 'day-to-day' delivery, the delivery ended up being way later than expected. In the end it took 7 business days to deliver the package.

While it is absolutely fair to have christmas busyness the expected delivery period should be much better explained, so that it's possible to purchases in time, since this one for example did not make it for the intended event.
