the laptop is briliant, delivery time is world record

Ordered on Sunday evening and I had it by Tuesday lunchtime on standard delivery, with a specified one hour delivery slot that was met. It was also the best price I could find for this model.
Product exactly as described - box had been opened, presumably to ensure all contents were there, (or to add promotional material!), but so far all is working very well. Would certainly use them again.

The app was great. I wasn't here to receive my parcel so I asked a family member instead so I cannot comment on the driver in person.

I was a little surprised and disappointed to be number 91 in the queue. Having ordered my parcel late on the Saturday night and as I stated I would prefer 9.30am to 14.30 pm delivery to avoid the school run and my son's swimming lesson that is exactly when my delivery time was - the only hour in the day when I would not be at home!! especially as on checking the tracking my parcel the driver never left my area.

Competitively priced laptops with fast, super service - what's not to like about Save On Laptops? Highly recommended.

Overall good.

Good points:
- brilliant prices, nearly always the cheapest seller I can find, if not they price match or quickly follow suit
- very good selection, way better than many stores and easy enough to navigate
- stock isn't all old junk
- be assured that the stock is genuine, I've bought 4/5 laptops with them now and I've never had to doubt the product (a regular problem on eBay or even Amazon now...)

Bad:
- delivery has become a bit more expensive for my location and I've never been eligible for the free delivery option despite it being on every page
- one delivery price on the 'delivery info.' page which you can find at the bottom of the screen (£9.99) and another at the pay point (£15.xx)
- delivery communication has generally been poor, staff/DPD say different things or no updates from DPD until your door bell rings which just happened
- delievery info. at the end says 'up to 5 days, DPD next day', which is confusing
- staff from Saveon aren't always that nice or helpful, one was even sarcastic despite being totally calm and polite to them. Are there 20-year olds just collecting a cheque? When there's a £5/10 different on my next laptop I'll happily consider other sellers because of this
- one of the laptops I bought was faulty on arrival and the Box UK (parent company) website is fully of tiny print of the consumer's obligations if you want a refund - ignore much of this and follow UK consumer law for your rights, it supercedes any store policy. A 'RAM upgrade of 8GB' appeared on the invoice seperate to the laptop and I wondered perhaps did an in-house technician upgrade the RAM as a 'bonus' and screwed it up. While this is not great, it's still far better than my experinece with PC World which had horrible staff and policy

Overall:
Good on balance and happy enough. I would consider buying from them again and I do mention all of the above to friends and family.

I was impressed by your service - the only glitch was caused by my bank, so not your fault. Delivery was excellent - I received it well before the date given. Well done.

My laptop arrived the very next day even though I only paid £3 for the two working day delivery. All came packaged securely. Got a free MSI holiday gift pack with some nice stuff in.

I actually shopped around quite a bit after seeing this laptop on 'mainstream' laptop resellers and they were all selling this laptop for £200-500 more than SaveOnLaptops.

Rare these days to get a good deal and nice service.

Had to contact customer service on an unrelated matter & they were great. The laptop I purchased appears to be very good. My only negative is delivery. I purchased on a Sunday paying £3.95 for next day delivery. As it was a Sunday I expected the laptop on Tuesday but did not receive until 5pm on Wednesday. May as well have opted for free delivery!

Great laptop, phenomenal price, nightmare delivery experience.

Having not delivered my laptop (or even attempted to deliver it, or been anywhere near my home) when they said they would, DPD claimed it had been refused. I phoned and was then told it might be delivered later that afternoon or evening. It wasn't. Someone eventually phoned me back and promised it would be delivered first thing the following morning. I received no time slot or other contact from DPD so I phoned back. It was not out for delivery but definitely would be, really. Still no contact. I phoned back, from a different number as when I called from my own number it wouldn't give me the option to speak to anyone because I didn't need to - my parcel was out for delivery! Even though it wasn't. I was told that was still at the depot but really it would be sent out for delivery, really, this time. It eventually was.

Including hold time, I spent at least an hour on the phone with DPD over a number of calls during two days where I was repeatedly told (very politely, of course) whatever the person on the phone thought I wanted to hear. Never mind the blatant lie from the original driver that I had refused the parcel.

Having to rearrange my life (which sounds dramatic but is the truth - I'm disabled and it's not easy for me to manage long phone calls or early mornings) around the utter incompetence of a delivery company kind of made the great price of the laptop not worth the ridiculous amount of hassle.

Unfortunately the DPD delivery let the whole experience down. Order was dispatched successfully and correctly but the item was for some work that needed to be carried out a few days after delivery was scheduled. DPD failed to deliver, re-delivery had to be to a pick up shop on a Sunday and then DPD failed to deliver again. Finally managed to take delivery 5 whole days after the item was supposed to arrive

Excellent service and a great price. The laptop that I ordered was delivered on time and was exactly as specified. Would have no problems recommending and would happily buy from them again.

DoA Laptop - RMA returns label was processed and dropped off next day, went (Missing) for over a week despite me asking Save-On to chase it ended up repeatedly chasing courier myself to get it sorted. Further to this it has been returned at their site for a week and only just been processed. For a DOA product I would expect better than 2 weeks for a replacement or refund, had I used Amazon or another reputable supplier I would have had a refund/replacement within 24/48 hours. Further to this the support team has not returned any calls despite numerous call backs requests via email and via the sales team. With this level of service I am surprised they are still in business, its disgraceful.

I would 100percent give 5 out of 5 stars, but I ordered bullguard security with the laptop I purchased. Its not installed on the laptop, nor do I have anyway of activating my 12 month subscription. but other than that the laptops perfect and delivery was efficient.
