When is grey, blue when it's sandtex

Sandtex must have a colour blind paint colourer .
Vermount grey is bright blue and slate grey is a definite blue, neither of them are remotely Grey.
I not holding out for any response from crown customer services. £60 of paint for the tip . Sadly the paint is quite good in other ways as long as you don't care about the colours

AVOID Sandtex Highbuild

Avoid Sandtex Highbuild – Poor Quality and No Support

We purchased 10 x 15kg tubs of Sandtex Highbuild, followed all manufacturer instructions precisely, including using the activator as specified. Despite this, the end result is a complete disaster.

The paint has failed badly – water easily penetrates it, causing large, unsightly bubbles to form. When wet, the surface is soft to the touch, which is completely unacceptable for an exterior masonry coating that’s supposed to be high-performance.

Our builder – an experienced professional – has tried to raise the issue with Sandtex directly, but they’ve refused to take responsibility or offer any meaningful support. Like others have said, they seem more interested in deflecting blame than helping customers.

This is a low-quality product that has cost us significant time and money to put right. Do not trust the marketing – AVOID Sandtex Highbuild at all costs.

It is not waterproof on breeze blocks

Three VERY thick coats (because the first coat leaked, then the second and finally the third....) the rain earlier this year came straight through the breeze blocks on all 3 walls (facing E, W & S). Tomorrow we'll be applying a different product before the rain begins again while the walls are bone dry after this hot weather (which has prompted me to leave this review and why it is so late).

Sandtex your colour charts are…

Sandtex your colour charts are atrocious as is the colour on the front of the tin. They are nothing like the actual paint colour. Like others I have wasted money on colours that are nowhere near what they are supposed to be. Sandstone is lemon and mid stone is cream, not a fawn colour. Avoid using Sandtex if you are after a particular colour.

Awful paint

Awful paint, it doesn't even last a year before cracking, flaking and falling off even though I prepped and followed all the instructions. Avoid, save some money and buy another brand.

Really disappointed

Really disappointed. Bought Dark Stone masonary paint - a full 5L. Over £50. The colour on the tin is nothing like the colour that comes out when you apply it. It's completely different - comes out as a light beige. They say you can buy taster pots, but I wonder how many you would have to buy to get the colour you actually want?
