Our trip was to Istanbul/Baskent hospital
Our Journey with Sanamentum began around March 2025, when my daughter and I had a video call with Dr. Aydin
We were quoted for our package which included our hotel, pick ups, and procedures
Efe, our contact, was always on hand with queries and concerns
Some of my concerns were “will there be a safety deposit box in our room in the hospital?” We were informed there would be, another was “will there be someone who speaks English while we are in the hospital?” We were told there would be. Another thing we were promised was that there would be person on hand 9AM - 5PM while we were recuperating at the hotel.
NONE OF THE ABOVE WERE PROVIDED!
The hotel we were booked into “The Volley” boasted a pool in it’s reviews (we later found out that The Volley’s pool is no longer in use)
However the night we arrived to The Volley, September 7th, 2025, they did not have a booking for us. We then had to wait for an hour, after travelling all day, for a taxi to take us to “The Ramada, Alibekoy” - this journey was another 50 minutes
It was after midnight before we got to our room. We had been informed our pick up next morning was 6AM, however at 5.30AM we were called to say our taxi was there. Very stressful to be told this while we were trying to prepare for surgeries that morning
On the way down to reception the lift jammed, 5 times we pressed the alarm bell. No one came. Finally we freed ourselves
We met with Dr Aydin who assured us he could do the procedures as we explained. A lower face, neck, brow lift and upper blepharoplasty for me and upper blepharoplasty for my daughter
I had been assured during the consultation with Dr. Aydin and his nurse, Mera, that I would have a pillow on the operating table for my coccyx as I am very slim. I was assured this was no problem
Now it was becoming clear no one around the hospital - except Seva (who was only around very occasionally) spoke English. In the operating theatre I had to almost fight and sign that I needed a pillow for my coccyx. No one was aware of this request
Next thing I knew I was being anaesthetised, I did not see the anaesthetist, nor did the anaesthetist introduce themselves or ask had I ever had a problem with general anaesthetic. My problem with general anaesthetic is vomiting and migraine afterwards
On return to the ward I had a bad migraine and was violently ill, vomiting over the guard rail, at which point the incisions on my eyes were copiously bleeding into the vomit
There was no one, no staff, anyone to whom I could express my fears that the stitches in my eyelids may have burst. I saw no one for what felt like a long time
The vomit and the blood remained on the floor for hours
I was in incredible pain and my requests for pain meds (in signing, as no one spoke English) were ignored
All the staff (except one lovely girl) were borderline rude, no eye contact, no smiles, no information about what meds we were being given, nothing. One nurse lifted my bed sheet and with no eye contact or any communication whatsoever ripped out my catheter - the pain was excruciating
On arrival back to the hotel we discovered not only was there no pool, there was no sundeck, no outside area in which to sit, no balconies, and the hotel itself was in the middle of a very high traffic area, right across from a very noisy bus station, with no restaurant, coffee shop or green area within several kilometres. Neither was there a hotel in the area who we could ask to use an outside area
Recuperating from a fairly serious surgery you just want to sit somewhere quiet outside
But we spent 13 days and nights cooped up, in an airless room, getting cabin fever, with nothing but room service
There were no English speaking channels on the TV
It was an expensive taxi ride away in to Taksim Square if we were well enough to go there but sadly, apart from one trip at the very end, we were not
On about day 3 in the hotel I was very ill with Migraine and vomiting but there was no one to help as had been promised
Our post op check ups with Dr Aydin went well, he was the gentleman as always
In summary Dr Aydin is superb, a gentleman, kind and professional and at time of writing (One month post op) our results are good
I would advise huge caution around The Baskent and most of the staff and
that you get your quote for your procedures alone and book your own hotel independently - and insure your pick ups can be from this hotel (we heard that Sanamentum have contracts with both The Volley and The Ramada, Alibekoy)
Yes - the cost of these surgeries in Turkey are about one quarter the cost they would be at home so the question is - are the sub standard hospital practises and very poor hotel amenities worth the savings?
Yes - 5 stars for Dr Aydin, Mera, Seva and (to date) Anil…..but my jury is out on the rest

The doctor who operated me was good and very professional and did a really good job as well as the staff at the hospital, most of them don't speak English but they know what they do. A big thanks to all of them. I am very satisfied about the aftercare service, very reliable, kind and always able to answer all the questions!
The hotel was also amazing and located in a very good part of the city.

Hello.. This review is based on my personal experience of my hair transplant which I did with sanamentum in January 2025..
The hospital's hygiene standards are so low was a deep concern.. where you can see Blood all over the floor from previous patients.. an the equipment which were used where totally of Rust an also the floor cabinet ..
One Docter was present with 2 nurses they took Break in between where they had their Lunch..in the same room as I was having my hair transplant was a big concern..As the Doctor left the Nurses were frequently on their phones.. an giving no attention for the patient..
The total process looked unhygienic, Rushed,unorganised, an do it as soon as possible without having a word with the patient..totally disagree..
As of my process I was drafted 4000 grafts an till date as we are in October nothing has worked for me I have no new roots come or the transplant they did was total failure...
So santanmam is the worst place to do your hair transplant ..
I took from santanmam a 3 month hair growth products which I paid separately an also did my 3 PRP session all cost me a lot for my hair transplant, hair growth products, an PRP session where santanmam is not the place for your hair transplant where my experience was totally disgusting an dispointing...
An lastly the after care of their hair transplant services is totally Zero...

Easy to communicate with the team via what’s app. Answered all my questions promptly and professionally. Emre from my pre opp was super nice and helpful. I’m n the day super relaxed and made me feel really comfortable

From when I arrived in Turkey. I felt taken care of. Transfer drivers host surgeon and nurses where amazing. I would recommend sanamentum to anyone

I went to Istanbul and used sanamentum for my tummy tuck surgery, I was really anxious about how my belly button and scar line would be, but I am over the moon with it!! One of the nicest tummy tucks I have seen, the staff are lovely at sanamentum there is no language barrier, they go above and beyond for you. Whatever you need they are there! I cannot wait to return for more surgeries. Thank you sanamentum!!

Recently went over to Istanbul for a hair transplant through Sanamentum. I was very anxious about the whole experience and the ease in which everything was so relaxed when booking, made me very unsure if legitimate.
From arriving at the airport to flying back everything ran as it should.
The accommodation was clean, the logistics ran smoothly and the operation itself went as discussed.
The only issues which was minor was the driver on the second day had issues so we travelled in the interpreters car after waiting 20minutes. But she stepped in resolved the situation which was good, and the room was cold when the process was being undertaken.
For the price I would recommend Sanamentum

From start to finish the contact was great. From Emre pre op and during it to Anil after it.
Dr Ghul visited everyday pre and post op.
What a great guy his is.

The transport was well organised, although I didn’t realise we’d be competing in the Wacky Races in the taxi from the airport but that’s the way it is over there.
The hotel was beautiful and staff were helpful.
The hospital staff were all really good with one or two being exceptional.
The operation went well.
I’m now home 5 days post op and looking forward to my new future.

Tips. Definitely take something to read or headphones to watch something as the 2 days after the op are very long.
You’re woke up around 5:45am and their last visit is about 10:00pm.

Went with Sanamentum twice for two different procedures in the space of two years. Excellent service on both experiences. You receive clear communication from the very beginning of your journey till the end.
Especially want to thank the doctors, Doctor Gungor and Doctor Celalettin for ensuring the surgery goes smoothly. A huge thank you to Emre for guiding me via communication with all logistics from beginning to end and a massive thank you to Anil from the aftercare team, for making sure he follows up with my post operation (even until now) by giving me suggestions and asking how I am. He has truly been wonderful.

And I must not forget, a special special thank you to all the nurses in the hospital. Without them, I wouldn’t be treated with care and compassion. They have made my experience so much better by ensuring I am always hydrated, am eating and with the right medication.

They are very good and professional

I have just flown home from having breast surgery with sanamentun. I whole experience was amazing from start to finish. I landed and was met with a private driver who took me to the hotel, the hotel was immaculate. The coordinator then messaged to say what time my appointment was in the morning and they will meet me at the lobby. The next morning I was met and went to the hospital 20 minutes away and had my bloods done and chest xray. We then met with my surgeon who was very thorough in what I wanted, what I was expecting, what size and what he recommended. The surgery went perfect and I woke up in my room and was put straight on pain medication. The nurses in the hospital was brilliant with me. On my discharge the next day my coordinator met me and took me back to my hotel. Anything I needed they would be there. I can’t wait return back to the clinic. I have had a messaged from the after care team this morning asking how I am and giving me all the aftercare information I needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic.

Hair transplant-Organization was tip top for contact Burcin,Efè, Hilal &Selin and Dr Firat/ Dr Art any questions sharpe answered any requests or queries dealt with transport, hotel & location & practice and aftercare were all ideal. Only floors I'd say would be the size of the treatment bed were tiny if over 5ft not very comfortable. Take headphones !!! Along time too be sat there listening too the noises, painful part was anesthetic but expected and not terrible. I done my fair share of reviews on this place seen good and bad same as anything I guess. Had my treatment like 3 weeks ago still early for a review on the results but I was on the understanding & agreement of if im not happy with results i can go back too get sorted. 🤞 Dr Firat/Dr Art and his team done an amazing job and no need too
Hopefully do another review when results is here.. Instagram the hole procedure start too finish on a story.
Taxi back too airport was abit erratic but hey your in turkey probably the norm

I had deep plane face and neck lift also had upper and lower Blepharoplasty done by Dr Cagri Sade in August. Everything was so straightforward from start to finish. My partner came with me as she was having her teeth done. She was allowed to stay at the hospital with me. Staff were great, hospital was clean.
Hotel was lovely. We were picked up for every check up,interpreters were all lovely and friendly.
I'm very pleased with my results. Still healing but all looking good and feeling years younger. I would recommend my surgeon Sanamentum and clinic centre.

I am 10 days post op from a tummy tuck, 360 lipo and laser skin. From my first initial enquiry right through to where i am today the service, the care and the compassion has been outstanding. I have not had to arrange anything, this is all taken care of by Sanamentum. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future

This has been the best experience and I am ready to change my life. Everyone from Sanamentum has been amazing. The support off efe in the beginning has been nothing but incredible. Any questions I had at all he answered and replied quickly. The transport to and from hospital/hotel/airport was amazing and at the hotel nothing was too much for them to help you. The nurses amd surgeon at the hospital were outstanding and so good at their jobs. I would not hesitate to use Sanamentum again and have also in formed my freinds and family how amazing you are. The aftercare is amazing and I feel that I am still having support now. I had gastric sleeve surgery for mainly health reasons and I am feeling better all ready. Just got back from Turkey after a hair transplant with Sanamentum. & although it wasn't a holiday I still enjoyed my time in Istanbul. From the minute I paid my Deposit I was kept informed with everything I needed to know . Emre Can, my coordinator was fantastic & kept me up to speed I was met at the airport by a Driver & taken to the Ramada hotel which was very nice & Grand hotel clean with excellent facilities & polite well spoken English Staff & the food I couldn't fault . Next day I met Saliha who was to take me to the clinic & she was absolutely lovely & always smiling 😃 the Driver who I got to know best as I spent more time with him was Ergin & went above & beyond just a Driver although his English wasn't strong he always used a translation app to communicate & this was great . He even took me to am ATM so I could top up cash . Saliha introduced me to my Trichologist Firat & he helped me decide where I should have my hairline & put me at ease as I had reservations about the transplant, but he was helpful & very professional. The two young ladies who did my implants were also fantastic & friendly . The next day had my hair washed &I was shown how to do this when I return to the UK. Within 2 hrs I was back at my hotel. All in all, I can't fault my time & treatment in Turkey & would certainly recommend Sanamentum to anyone wishing to go ahead with a hair transplant . You won't be disappointed . Last but not least the aftercare was in contact before I'd left for the UK & Anil has been there with any questions I'd forgotten to ask when I was in Turkey 🇹🇷 can't comment on my hair yet as its only been a few days but my fingers are crossed . thanks to everyone at Sanamentum for everything ....
