Excellent customer service and outcome

Ryan at RSB Windows was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
On initial contact, he took time to understand the requirement, explained the options and complexity of the task. Ryan was meticulous in his survey and quoting. Keeping us up to date at every stage of the process.
We are delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend RBS Windows to anyone.

Worst trade company I have used in over 35 years.

Now several months have passed by, the tradesman is still refusing to fix the damaged, poorly manufactured of badly installed units. On his return last year for the snag list he actually made things worse! The internal trim now in every single room is coming off the wall, probably due to this imbecil using superglue, we have condensation build up in several windows and now, joy of joys, we have black mould forming in two bedrooms. The house is colder than before, no less road noise and if someone was to tell me that these glazed units were cheap fake glass only I would not be at all surprised.

If you are going to be as stupid as I was in using this cowboy then at least wait a few months before leaving feedback.

Absolutely shocking service, workmanship, attention to detail and product manufacturing. This all started going wrong from the first day of installation of our whole house project. This was a £15k investment and we thought that going for an independent installer would give us a higher standard of workmanship. That could not have been further from the truth. The qty of faults, poor manufacturing, defective units and sloppy installation meant we had to get an independent inspection done by RISA, as Ryan was adamant his work was great! The RISA report identified no fewer than SEVEN major issues from the installation of EIGHT units. Yes 7 out of 8 units got flagged and the overall installation was flagged to have broken The Consumer Rights Act 2015 in multiple places. Ryan's awareness and attention to detail is non-existent. He willingly installed multiple damaged or defective units, he knowingly installed no fewer than 8 damaged window handles, he knowingly installed door handles that did not match the window handles in style OR colour! He tried to install what looked like a cheap Temu imitation 3* lock when we had paid for premium top of the range Ultion locks. Nearly all of the window's security hooks have not been installed correctly and aligned (they have markers to do this easily), he installed a bay window frame in a damaged state, then to my face told me that the machine cut damages were caused by the frame melting in the sun!!! We agreed pre contract that our huge 1930's stained glass window wold be removed whole so we could keep it, but during install Ryan tried to charge us extra to do this as it would take more time. Despite him meeting my pets & toddler and being told on no fewer than 3 occasions to keep the site safe and clean of anything harmful I found no fewer than THREE DISCARDED STANLEY KNIFE BLADES (still have them for forensics if needed) and in excess of 20 screws either in my garden or across my drive, where I even stood on one. The kitchen doors was not manufactured correctly with a large id section cut too short, window frames damaged, security latches not correctly installed, all these things Ryan chose to install in the hope that I would not notice or would not say anything. We managed to agree a first date for Ryan to come and fix some of the issues he'd created, but actually he made the whole situation 100x worse. Where we had French Doors that were slightly misaligned and hard to shut, we ended up with very poorly aligned and almost impossible to open or close. He just does not have the skills to rectify these problems. Where he tried to repair the disc saw cuts from the bay window he used a paint that wasn't even a slightly close match, it was yellow! His response was that 'you can't see it from the road'!!! RISA report also clearly flags this incompetent attempt at a repair, when in fact what he should have done with nearly every single unit is not accepted them from his fabricator, as they were not to standard, damaged or fit for purpose. Ryan chose to accept the product from them, Ryan then chose to install them all, once can only assume in the attempt to get the job done and get paid as fast as possible. However, having worked in the trades for over 35 years I could see all of the issues. I gave Ryan plenty of the proverbial rope to hang himself, with lie after lie, excuse after excuse and he duly did just that. Now, more than 4 months on we still have all the same ongoing issues and, according to RISA, an installation that fails to meet The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Ryan has willingly broken the contract and law. He is also refusing to deliver the garage windows we had ordered and paid for (minus an alleged shortfall of £12.00), for which we have had to involve the police and now a lawyer. Every door and window in the house needs major work or replacement and this horrific, stressful experience has left us no option but to sue Ryan in court for the total cost of the installation and other damages. Oh and after less than 4 months after installation almost all of the windows have condensation on them inside. THE WORST TRADESMAN EXPERIENCE EVER.
