Extremely easy to use, valuable information before our driving trip!
I found Roadtrippers very easy to use when planning my recent February road-trip across western Texas. We were driving a rental SUV. The website provided valuable information beforehand that helped us to choose which fascinating places we’d visit. In addition, we knew in advance the distances between our stops and the places where we could stop to gas up and eat. Very important to know in advance when you’re in the middle of nowhere with a hungry, growing 10-year-old! I highly recommend this website for any road trip plans!

My wife and I are new users
My wife and I are new users. We found customer support to be outstanding. We have contacted and spoke with a person named Liz on many occasions and got immediate responses!
We have a 12‘4“ tall truck camper. Our major reason for using Roadtrippers was due to height concerns. It would be helpful to know for certain when a turn is missed and it reroutes us that it is still keeping us on a safe height based route.
Also. It’s not intuitive to make changes to an AI developed trip. For example, going back and changing some of the parameters and then re-looking at that route to include a broader array of RV appropriate places. While on our trip, we found ourselves around the Everglades and it apparently only found RV sites in facilities that were all booked. There did not seem to be an easy way to change the parameters to broaden the search. Because we have a four-wheel-drive truck camper, we looked along the trip and found many sites available that were rustic sites within the Cypress national Park that were super cost-effective, but not listed as an option for us. So it would be nice to have an option to select primitive sites, not just based on expense, but specifically for sites that didn’t require any connections to water or electricity. We also have a national Park pass and it would be great to be able to turn on all the national parks to know where we have to have one as an option given we don’t have strict requirements other than our height. All in all, it seems like it’s a great app and we will continue using it.

Was sent an email for a free 7 day…
Was sent an email for a free 7 day trial. Said it would automatically send an email at 5 days to allow me to cancel. Clicked through to check it out. Classic bait and switch. Had 3 choices to choose for the trial or so I thought. I chose the pro version. Went to cancel at 5 days and they would not issue a refund and cancel. Said pro version was not included in the trial offer. Why send an inducement and then offer things that don’t include the inducement?? Will never recommend. Must not be very confident in your product if you don’t offer a hassle free refund if you’re not satisfied. I would normally not sign up for a full year subscription if I couldn’t try the product first. Only reason I completed transaction was because I was under the impression that this was a trial that could be cancelled within 7 days if I was not satisfied.
Why the bait and switch? If this product is non refundable it should clearly state that and should not be a choice in a solicitation that touts 7 day free trial!
Why it’s so thought of you to keep my money and continue my membership for a year in something I tried to cancel what I thought was a free trial.

Bad company to deal with
I used Roadtrippers a few times a over a year ago and found it was lacking, certainly not worth $59.99. I even emailed them at the time last February how bad their site was. Apparently I did not see that I was signed up for renewals. I just got this $59.99 fee on my credit card and contacted them and they said I could not cancel and there are no refunds. They said they send out a notice a month in advance however I did not see it.
Update: Dear Roadtrippers and James Fisher. My experience with you has been the absolute worse. I am 75 and not that proficient with the internet and all the hidden agendas your site employs. Further I am a Veteran of Foreign Wars, retired living on Social Security. I stopped using your site months before my renewal which was noted in an email to your company as it lacked place to visit on my itinerary through Idaho. I had even offered to help you find additional "advertisers" you charge to highlight place to visit along my proposed route which was a 5000 mile trip through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico. They are the scum of the Earth!

Also agree with David’s comment below
Also agree with David’s comment below. I used road trippers two years ago and somehow my membership was set to renew for 50.00 at the beginning of the year without warning. I immediately emailed to cancel and refund, they refused to offer a refund. The website is really tricky to navigate and I can’t find a spot to cancel, only to change my subscription level. Poor customer service.

Parasites...once they have your credit card info watch out. Tried to cancel immediately after noticing a $60 charge on my bill ... refused to refund. Scammers. Don't get sucked in like I did. I subscribe to a handful of apps ... NY times, Atlantic, Prime, Dropbox and more. They always give me a heads up before renewing. Very sad business practice which explains their poor rating on Trustpilot. Total ripoff...

No refunds after renewal - be aware!
I want to warn people to keep track of when they start their subscription. Roadtrippers does not send out a reminder email prior to renewing the subscription. My subscription was renewed which I did not want. The policy is not to refund money once renewal happens so I am out $60 for something I don't want which feels like theft. I notified Roadtrippers within a couple of days of my subscription being renewed, but they refused to refund me due to their policy. This policy should be changed. It's a bad policy.

The product did not help me on my trip. However they make it very, very hard to find out how to cancel the product. I thought that I had cancelled the product but they are still charging me. Look for a better product.

Fraudulently Charge My Credit Card…
Signed up once years ago and have to fight them every year to cancel as they keep charging my credit card. This year they charged my card again despite the fact that when I logged in my account wasn’t even active and my credit card had expired. There is no way to cancel or contact customer support either. I am filing a fraud complaint with my bank. Beware this is a scam app and they will charge you fraudulently. Do not let them have your credit card Info.
**note the membership charge wasn't even registered to my account so I have no idea who's account it was applied to. They should also not have been able to charge an expired credit card so I had to go through my bank. I am not going through the support process again as it was supposed to have been resolved last year and it happened again. The bank will deal with it.

Excellent Travel Planning Tool!
Excellent Travel Planning Tool!
Roadtrippers is an excellent tool to use for planning trip activities. I have used it for both short and extended road trips. My only concern is sometimes there are multiple listings for places and the actual physical location is not always accurate. Just double check the facts on a map and you'll be fine.

Roadtrippers is a solid platform
Roadtrippers is a solid platform for trip planning and keeping a record of your travels, however you must pay for the upgraded package. Some of the identified places and features for Australia are a little out of date. Would be great if they covered Europe, or even some of it.

Excellent tool to plan a trip!
My wife and I travel a lot when bad health doesn't get in the way. I always use Roadtrippers to plan our trips and have been for about 5 years, traveling the entire contiguous United States. I used the Pro version and then went to the premium version recently.
I design our trips with each attraction being a waypoint and premium gives me around 150 waypoints. It puts them into a map and provides time and distance between waypoints and divides them up per day of the week. Once a trip is built, you can use it to provide GPS directions on your mobile device.
Finally, my favorite thing about Roadtrippers is that all my trips I have built and taken are saved for me and I can review them and see where all we have been! The program is pricier than it was but with what you get, I believe it is worth it.

Great experience
Broke down the long road trip into managable miles as we plugged them in and nice spots for campgrounds as well.
