The absolute worst Bahn experience I have had in Germany 5 hours delay with little or RUDE communication. Absolutely unacceptable.
If I could, I would give this company zero stars to this joke of a company. The current construction between Langen and Frankfurt has caused major disruption, and there are no regional trains available. The only option is the S-Bahn, but the frequency has not been increased to accommodate the additional passengers. If you miss one train in the morning, you have to wait 30 minutes for the next.
There are supposed to be alternative buses, but they do not operate before 8:00 a.m.—exactly when most people need to commute to work. As a result of this poor planning and mismanagement, I now arrive at work 45 minutes later than usual.
This situation is unacceptable and clearly not organized with commuters in mind.
Late and sometimes no train. Every week they team up at some station to block people and ask for ID check very slowly. i was late to work this morning at Festhalle Messe station. They blocked the way in and took a long time to check it which made me and a lot of people miss the train. Very well RMV staffs
Incompetent!!
if the app or the machine is not working that's not the customer problem. Thats an easy justification in any language
This company are a bunch of thieves! I cancelled my subscription for the 49 Euro German ticket but they still stole 49 Euro from my account afterwards! I made a complaint and asked for a refund but they refused. I then had to close my bank account to stop them stealing any further money from me!
This company literally steals money from people and should be prosecuted by the law.
Early this year I received a demand from Riverty Flow, the debt collecting company, for RMV for 49,000 euros for a 49 euro Deutschland Ticket. This also included an admin charge of 547,00 euros and an extra charge of 20.83 euros. When I complained about this RMV told me that the debit letter was correct and it was only the amount that was wrong. They promised to send me a revised invoice in a few days. This never materialised. My bank the HSBC still maintain that RMV never tried to set up the SEPA Direct Debit in the first place. RMV do not send out final notices. They 'run' straight to their debt collecting company. They ignore your emails and it is practically impossible to get through to them on the telephone.
Absolutely unacceptable. Trains are permanently delayed without given information. Just sitting in a train which was meant to depart 25 minutes. Now we got a message that the train is further delayed with no time frame. It seems they do not know where their trains are and when the might reappear. The carriage also just simply stinks of urin which makes everything even more uncomfortable. Paying loads of money for a non existent service. Germany definitely has big issues here. Made in Germany!
I should have checked before deciding to buy Deutschland ticket via the RMV app. I canceled the subscription in the app in February and did not even think about taking a screenshot. The app said that subscription was cancelled and the only option I had in the app was to "restart subscription".
I was convinced that was it.
In the meantime there was an app update and I updated it accordingly.
I have no idea could that have any impact on my cancelation.
Month later, I get an email I did not pay and I owe 49€. Ok, I pay it even if I didn't use it, just to be rid of it.
I go to website and file manual cancellation. Subscription was still tried to be charged from the account because RMV took 1 month to respond!!! 1 month.... absolutely insane.
My rmv account was blocked during that time due to incomplete payment - as email says so.
So how am I using what I did not pay? This defies logic!
I am not even in Hessen since February and use my Saxony card in my new area. I only had Deutschland ticket instead of monthly ticket for Taunus area cause it was cheaper.
Having to pay for something I could not even use is terrible....the account was clearly blocked, customer service took forever to respond, app did not register cancellation or restarted it. For reasons above my comprehension.
Every time app updates it appears to restart subscription - I actually cancelled 2x already but let 1x slide.
And the lady asked me for proof. What proof can I have for clicking something in the app? Do you issue emails upon app clicks for cancellation? Because I didn't receive any aside from my account being blocked and me having to pay and having a "restart" option in the app.
Really shady system all together, completely illogical.
And I'm not like my lovely 80y old lovely grandma who doesn't know what she clicks. And I work in IT out of all places. The app clearly said... cancelled and offered a restart option.
I informed RMV like a normal person in a polite manner. All I get is an email essentially saying "schade" as it's too bad I won't need the card, which I couldn't with a blocked account anyway. And another email saying how I have to pay anyway.
No apology, no explanation, just "schade" and asking me where's proof like I stole something. And I just paid something I didn't use. Paid a blocked unused account that had it's last ride on 15th of February.
I am beyond frustrated. This is a very shady way of doing things.
If lived in Frankfurt my entire life and if I could give zero stars I would. My grandma died two years ago and taking the bus was still the worst part of that day.
This is the worst public transport organisation ever. I travelled the world and can say that after berlin being the worst, comes RMV in Hessen. Just horrible! It's expensive. Constant delays and cancellations, and soooo dirty and scary. Absoluty one of the worst public transport in the world, concidering we are in Germany...supposently a developped country?! To be fair even frankfurt airport looks as dirty and dreadfull. Maybe Germans like it that way. Dirty and run down. Quiete embarrassing when you compare this with amazing airports and public transport in the middle east and some places in Asia like Singapore, Bangkok....just fabulous
I am extremely dissatisfied with the way RMV, as they withdrew money for the deutschland tickets (for July) despite my subscription cancellation on June 24th. This is an absolute absurdity. Not only did I receive written confirmation of the cancellation on 24th of June, but they still went ahead and took the money from my bank account. What adds to the absurdity is their complete lack of response to my request. It's as if their customer support doesn't even exist.
I was fined today bc i was on the train 5 mins to 9, and my monthly card is valid from 9h onwards. What a shame! My card costs 79eur, and now my fine is 60eur. What i gain from all this madness again- nothing! Dear RMV What will you with all the cancelled trains, whit all the waiting times - over 1h sometimes? Who will return me the stress caused, the time lost, i even do not care abt the money anymore.. f@@k off really?!?
I should have checked this website before spending my money with RMV. Would have given a 0. They should not deal with customers in this way. Middle ages. Go and learn from TfL. Explained that I have not used the tickets, with proof that my meeting was canceled. Explained that I had duplicate tickets purchased (21.30 PM and 5.30 AM to the same destination) because their app is poorly designed. They just ignore me, no refund. Even Eurostar and other low-cost airlines which are notorious for their no refund policy do refunds these days. What is so special about you? I will carry on leaving reviews for RMV everywhere I can on the internet. Maybe you'll listen.
I live 9km from my job. Because of the stupid price map they made I just over multiple zones. That 9km cost me 135euro for a month card. Because the 662 bus is always late or just doesn’t come ice had to take a taxi most days to work or be at work one hour early. Bus 662 is privately owned and rented from RMV and lies and says there working when there not!!!! I’ve never been so angry and upset. Going to work and getting home is a worrying and very angry situation for me. I hate you RMV. I’m buying a bike tomorrow. By the way! I did the math. It’s cheaper to buy a brand new car, I’d pay 99 a month and have family insurance and the benzine would late over a month. That’s a very sad day when a car is cheaper then your very Undependable service. I hope who ever is responsible for the pain I’m suffering gets a Uncurable case of super gonorrhea. I’m serious when I say I hate your guts and hope you suffer for what you do to you customers.
many delayed busses and trains, high prices, ice-cold in winter and super hot in summer in all vehicles, no air conditioning in most ones. If you are independent and don't need a ticket to get to your worksplace then I can't recommend this company at all.
Take your car or bicycle...less stress and more accurate.
