Ordered my yearly supply of logs for the winter, very polite and easy to order over the phone! They called on the morning of delivery as arranged and brought along my paperwork, when they arrived they reversed to the back of my property as asked and left the logs right near my log store! Delivery was free and I didn’t have to wait long. Logs were as described. Very satisfied highly recommend!
Really disappointed by a recent delivery of logs from Richardson's. I was told they were unseasoned but were OK to burn. Wrong. The load has been stored in our well ventilated wood shed for the past month or so but now we've come to start using them it's clear that they are still far from ready. Hard to light, giving out little heat and sizzling as they burn, the logs are definitely not up to a decent standard.
Fantastic local business. Neil, his Wife and their daughter Penelope were all so helpful and friendly.
I was delighted to discover it is possible to buy live-edge timber slabs locally.
We came away with a huge piece (7 foot) of 2.5 inch thick Poplar, to be used as a bathroom countertop and a similarly huge square section piece of Oak for a mantlepiece. Total cost £135 which for me is very reasonable.
We squeezed both into the car and the Richardson’s kindly provided some twine to hold down the boot door.
There is a great choice of species and sizes, all timber grown in the UK.
What a gem of a company, highly recommended.
