Paid for the part AND shipping protection — received neither the part nor a proper refund
My experience with Reliable Mopar Parts has been extremely poor.
I purchased a Mopar part and paid additional money for Extend shipping protection. The part never arrived. When I contacted Reliable Mopar Parts, I was told their “only option” was to have me use an Extend virtual card to place another online order.
That is not a refund to my original payment method. I paid real money for the merchandise and additional money to protect the shipment, yet the proposed solution is restricted virtual credit requiring another purchase.
I challenged their claim that this was the “only option,” particularly because Extend's own documentation describes other claim-resolution methods, including product replacement. After escalating the matter, I received no response.
I have now escalated the issue to management associated with the business and am pursuing appropriate consumer-complaint channels.
From my perspective as a customer, this arrangement feels like a con: pay for the merchandise, pay extra to protect its delivery, receive no merchandise, and then be pushed toward restricted virtual credit rather than having the original payment refunded.
Potential customers should understand exactly how Reliable Mopar Parts and Extend handle a lost shipment before purchasing.
Based on how my case has been handled, I would not purchase from Reliable Mopar Parts again.
