Just try to speak to a human

Just try to speak to a human. Wait hours, then can't solve the problem. Absolutely useless. And their online help is a complete joke. I will now move all my business of 30 years to VanCity. Hopefully they are better.

They’re decommissioning me from banking…

They’re decommissioning me from banking with them. I put one check in and it turned out to be a stolen check and I did not know what I thought it was payment for my work. The company then sent me cash through an email but I wasn’t good enough they decommission my account There’s money sitting in there they will not give it to me. I have Parkinson’s I shake tremendously I shame have not had medication for two days now nobody will get back to me. Nobody will let me have the money including the manager of the Huntsville branch. I am totally disturbed about this whole thing. Whatever happened to customers come first all it is is money, money, money, money.

I am a long time customer of RBC

I am a long time customer of RBC, and recommend friends and family. I didn’t have reason to go into the branch, since I use online banking. The only reason I go in today was to meet with my financial advisor who happens to schedule my meeting there today and at the same time I wanted to go to my safety deposit box.
The employee Fariel at Warden/Eglinton branch was not helpful at all, I had to spend extra time in line twice before and after as I was waiting for my advisor. Today my experience at the branch was very very poor, I am hesitant to go back at the branch
NEVER experience such poor service ever since the branch moved there.
I always had great customer service before I guess all the employees are new but still that doesn’t explain such poor service.

Non existent customer service

If everyone had to wait hours upon hours to report a fraud/ scam then it's no wonder there's so many scam artists out there taking advantage of people. In 24 hours I've spent hours and hours on hold waiting for the fraud department to make a report and for them to hopefully report this person to the authorities. If not, I would. All these hours wasted, having to be tethered to my phone charger and I STILL have not been able to report this. I'm beyond stunned here. This literally boggles my mind that that I can't report this. The fraud department especially should have ample staff for people to report things like these. I'm lucky. I discovered what was happening before my money was taken but for all those people who were not as lucky, my heart goes out to you and I hope you've found a better bank. If I didn't have so much tied into this one, I'd be running for the hills.

Rude and Unprofessional

I have been a customer for over 20 years and today I am ready to pull everything from them, I have been on the phone now for almost 3 hours and no one can help me. I found the customer service rude and not helpful at all, the one lady said ok let me work on this hold on and I was on Hold for over an hour before I gave up.

Just a terrible bank

Just a terrible bank, they take forever to process checks and will charge you with any fees they can think of. Don’t forgot they with shut off your accounts anytime you leave town and put you on hold for 4hrs + if you need customer service. Will definitely be switching banks.

Sick of being rbc customer

Why the rbc allowed the customer waiting for 4 hrs and not even providing the right answer the question.

Very bad customer service!

I was on the phone for 4 hrs at least. The agent don’t even bother to find the issue.

Really bad customer service and don’t care about customer at all!

Horrible

Horrible. I’ve been with them for 25 years and never been treated respectful. This last month, two NSF fees for $45 each, one because I was short $2 and not only did they refuse to refund it they talked down to me and were so condescending about it.

RBC is the Worst bank in Canada

RBC is the Worst bank in Canada. Their customer service is pathetic. Even for a simple request, they ask their customers to visit their branch. Also, most of the time, their agents hung up calls if we ask for any clarifications. Stay away from this bank is possible.

Absolute worst bank in all of Canada…

Absolute worst bank in all of Canada hands down. Absolute travesty of customer service and fraud department that treats legitimate customers as criminals. They will hang up on you and hold your money hostage for no reason. Filing a complaint also does nothing. If you are new to Canada do yourself a favour and stay away from RBC.

Everything is wrong with this “bank”

Everything is wrong with this “bank”. The last straw was when I noticed they charged me for every tap on my card, $1.25 per tap. I am a middle class professional working women who has a few hundred thousand in their bank but they stuck to this policy except family members of mine who have more $$ than I in this bank never get charged. I read RBC’s quarterly reports and they are literally raking the money in by charging people in the lower income bracket on every transaction. Shame on this bank for using Canada in their name…

It was a great experience with RBC bank…

It was a great experience with RBC bank advisor mrs. Liloutie Narine today for opening a new account as she is very helpful and cooperative. I especially recommended everyone who want their new account go for this bank. Moreover, they also provide alot of offers for their consumers.

A fraud was perpetrated on my accounts An individual stole thousands. I have to work with the FRAUD dept who don't answer their phones EVER ...tonite was 4 hours on hold just to report an administrative item that might help them investigage. DAVE McKAY is an IDIOT that should be fired!!!

Worst

Worst! Bank caused issues on my acocunt, I have to pay for it! The people on the line are not Helpfull and want to just get rid of you with stupid and made-up excuses! all they do is send you to the Branch! i give them every single information to clarify, they still say we can not go to branch and hang up! horrible waiting Lines. this guy Constantine on the line, for what ever reason he had a bad day, talked very Rude, and then refused to do my work and hanged up! i had this experiences many times! this is not the only time, almost Every single time! i AM going to change my Bank ASAP.

Exceptional customer service

I have been a customer of RBC for several years now, and I am consistently impressed with the service and support I receive. The online banking platform is user-friendly, and secure and offers various features to manage my finances.

I have found the customer service exceptional, with the representatives always eager to help me with any questions or concerns. They are knowledgeable and professional and always provide prompt service.

Worste customer service I have ever experienced

They cut my debit Visa on my Amazon orders and never contacted me. When I tried to resolve issues I was completly ignored. I asked 3 times to speak with a manager and got an email with a verification code a manager would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. A week later filled a survey out and asked again to speak to a manager. It took another week for a manager to contact me. When I spoke to the manager she blamed me and was terribly rude. I am leaving this bank I would not recommend this bank to any one customer service is terrible.
