For goodness sake don't make an error…

For goodness sake don't make an error on anything as they will charge you £37.59 for a 2 minute job on computer to change a date for when I bought my car, which was 2 yrs ago....how can they justify it????
Everything else was good and they were patient in waiting for what they needed off me....I guess I was angry at the time....that's why I'm changing my star review as I think it's only fair.

Dear Carol, we were sorry to see that you have recently left a 1 star review. Here at Milestone it is our intention to provide you with a high level of customer service at all times. There are many factors that insurers take in to account when calculating their premium and the date the vehicle was purchased is one of them. Once this was corrected unfortunately it did increase the premium slightly as the discount given was reduced. It wasn't about just correcting the date, this of course wouldn't have been charged for but the premium itself increased as you hadn't owned the vehicle as long and as such this was a charge from the insurer and not Milestone as your broker. I hope this explains the reason for the additional premium but if you would like to discuss this any further please call the Customer Service Team on 0113 2582219.

Holding NCD proof as ransom

When i got my insurance they fitted a camera. After a year renewal quote was too expensive so I went to a different provider.

I asked for my ncd proof in 2 emails which they didnt reply to. I then called them as my new insurer needed proof of this. They then told me they will not release the ncd proof until they get the camera back. The lady on the phone could not tell me why ncd proof cannot be released before the return of camera and neither could she explain why none of this info was provided at point of sale or with the documents provided. Treating customers fairly is a FCA regulation and so is providing proper information and care before and after the point of sale which they did not do.

Marvellous Milestone

Milestone, in conjunction with Compare the Market, saved me around £300 when viewed against my current insurers quote. The policy offered appears to be equally as good as what I had and my dealings with Joseph Kelly were professional, friendly and quick. Top marks.

Campervan insurance enquiry.

I needed competitive insurance and roadside recovery for my new (to me) Renault Master Campervan. Briony handled my enquiry quickly and efficiently, also answering any questions I had in a clear and polite manner. Having placed my order with her, she emailed all the appropriate documentation within minutes. All in all, an excellent and pleasant transaction. Based on my experience with Briony I would certainly recommend Milestone Insurance Consultants.

Excellent Service, definitely recommend Milestone

Have my fleet policy with milestone for nearly 2 years now and I am very pleased with them. Great service, very helpful, fast response, can’t fault them in anyway, Niki has always been a great help, polite and professional

We are sorry to receive your review. It is important to reassure you that once you decided to cancel the policy our advisor provided all the correct information regarding potential charges. When finance is involved we are genuinely not able to provide a guarantee where a pending payment is involved (as in this case) as we simply do not know if this will go through. As we advised because the payment did not ultimately go through the figures changed and this approach is no different to any policy where a payment is pending. I have been using Milestone for nearly 7 years for my fleet policy and I can honestly say that I have never had an issue with the service I have received from them, polite, professional and always have the time to speak with you on all matters, giving their expert advice and thoughts.
I have no problem recommending them as a company that can be trusted to look after your fleet needs to the highest standards.

WARNING!!!!

WARNING!!!!! MILESTONE INSURANCE BROKERS

I'm posting this to make other taxi operators aware of MILESTONE insurance brokers. I recently took out a policy for a taxi which was written off in its past, although this has never been an issue with past insurers as the car goes though a stringent police mot test. I paid Milestone up front and supplied all required documentation including a recent police test.

Milestone have now come back to say their underwriters ZENITH will not insure due to the car being written off, but have found another company at £300 more. If I cancel, I lose £350. I have had no problems with any other insurance companies. I would suggest that you check ZENITH and Milestone's trust pilot reviews before considering these companies. Also Milestone request documents get sent to an email address they supply, then another employee with a different email comes on to say they are going to cancel because they haven't received any paperwork. Please beware and safe taxi travel. Just to update. Their questions do not ask about written off cars, and no mention on policy documents. Passed to trading standards now.
UPDATE, thanks for the copy and paste reply. UK Taxi Forum strongly advises not to use ZENTH (1.9 tp rating), surely brokers are aware of this and have a responsibility to their clients to supply a credible and trustworthy provider.

We specifically asked you whether the vehicle had been involved in a write off before arranging the cover and you did confirm ‘no’. We do not control or have any influence over the underwriting of any our insurer partners and obtain the risk information that is supplied by our clients in order to ensure a fair representation of this risk is supplied as part of the policy administration setup and our duty as an insurance intermediary. Milestone only became aware of the vehicle history on receipt of the log book (after inception) and undertook our duty to ensure the insurer was made aware of this, at which time they confirmed they were unable to provide the cover. If we had not acted on this information it would have left you with insurance that was invalid and we have therefore always acted in your best interests. I hope you ca appreciate the price difference reflects the fact that the new insurer accepts the vehicle’s history including the historic ‘write off’. If you wish to discuss this matter further please do not hesitate to contact our office on 0113 2582219 and will continue to provide every support in sourcing an alternative insurer who will accept your risk.
