I’m a legacy Quicken user since the early 1990s. I hate the fact that you have moved to a subscription-based service that requires annual payments to manage my personal finances. I love the product, b... See more

I have used quicken for many years
I have used quicken for many years. But there was a break in the middle of those years when i switched completely to using Apple computers only. It was great to have quicken once again some years ago and great to have it so well supported!
Quicken has always been a good product
Quicken has always been a good product. There are continuous upgrades; none of which I want or need. All, it seems, so the company can rent the program to me rather than let me purchase it outright and upgrade every few years when I feel it’s needed. I used to OWN the program, since about 1994, and would purchase an upgrade every few years. No more, now I am forced to rent annually. Not happy about the constant charges!
Not fond of any subscription software

I have had inputs disappear when I am trying to balance accounts against bank statements. Plus I did not want to renew my account because I don’t need to. I just need what I had. Plus the cost just keeps rising and I’m paying for more things than I need.

Backing up and saving data is difficult. It tells me not to use One Drive, when I follow directions to move to local drive, directions are hard to follow and did not work. I tried twice. Mebe just me?

You are destroying your small business…
You are destroying your small business market moving to the monthly fee vs purchasing the software. I have used Quicken and QuickBooks for years and years but looking for something else.
Long time users only staying for legacy data access
Long time users, many features not working. Tax planning stuck on single filer and won't allow married. I've sent in tickets and never heard back from Quicken. Stock insight tool just wrong, even though I've put in all the details.
I'm planning to find another solution, but have been slow because of 15 years of expense data in the system. I wouldn't start with Quicken again.
I am very dissatisfied with the product…
I am very dissatisfied with the product and only renewed because I need more time to migrate to another program. Bank data downloads do not work properly and are a complete mess
Quicken Simplifi really helped me get my finances in order
Quicken Simplifi really helped me get my finances in order and manage my spending. It helped me understand where the money was going, and the cashflow projection was really helpful! Well worth the price!
Simplifi won’t connect with Citibank
Simplifi by Quicken won’t connect with my Citibank accounts. I’ve reached out to customer support multiple times about this issue, and got the runaround. If I recall correctly, the last time I was told that it’s a third party issue, and there is no plan to resolve it. If you do any banking with Citi, do not bother paying for Simplifi, as it will give you an incomplete picture, defeating its purpose.

It is inaccurate
It is inaccurate. I keep having to enter adjustment numbers to make the balances in Quicken match the balances in my bank and credit card accounts.
Automated download is worst ever
The automatic update is so plugged by problems that nobody wants to use it because it requires a complete database back up before you use it every single time

All I want is to keep track of my checkbook. At 86 I don't want or need more. My accountant gets my year end report. Simple can be good

Disappointed in the lost ability to download activity to reconcile some accounts ie BofA Visa and retirement account with Merrill Lynch.

I like the basics of keeping up with my finances via Quicken. I hate that I'm forced to pay for the online stuff when I have no need of it and don't want to use it. AND the last few times I've pulled it up to update finances, it's trying to force me to enter my user ID and password. What in the world for? I'm not going online!!! Ugh.
