EDIT: March 21, 2026
After a nice lady supervisor called the distribution centre for me, to ensure that the parcel was delivered that same day, I am modifying my review of Purolator. They had made two failed delivery attempts, claiming I was not home. That was absolutely false, as I was indeed home all day. No one rang. After I spoke with the lady supervisor at the call centre, she ordered the parcel to be dispatched that same day. I thank her kindly, and I appreciate her efforts. Purolator has redeemed themselves with me.
Does Purolator recruit their drivers at a trap house? They claim to have made two delivery attempts at my home. I have surveillance cameras, and an app on my phone whenever someone rings the door. No one came. They are a bunch of liars and swindlers. Intelcom is a way better delivery company. Purolator and UPS are the worst.

You are absolutely terrible at providing ANY information as to WHEN something will be delivered. My shop is unmanned and requires an appointment for me to ensure someone is there to receive deliveries. FOUR times this month you've attempted various deliveries and NEVER ONCE CALLED ME IN ADVANCE to make any kind of appointment. This is adversely affecting my business as I have to leave meetings or other things to rush to my shop because your driver is there waiting, and if I don't receive the shipment (that I have no idea is coming that day) I lose clients or fail to fulfil contracts. Your "service" has cost me several dozen hours of time this month alone due to your inability to even tell me what day someone is going to try and deliver a package. Is this really a difficult concept- to provide an accurate date as to when a package will be delivered? I can't have people sit around at my facility all day in the hopes that my package will make it there on any given day- that would cost me more than the losses I'm taking from your poor service and lack of ability to communicate literally anything about when my packages might arrive. This could be automated in five seconds. Would rate zero stars if I could.

Could not find the correct address even though I have ordered many packages to that location. Delivered to the completely wrong address today. I scheduled for a redelivery tomorrow so this will be the third time trying to receive it. So frustrated, they are incompetent and don’t deliver

I have lived in several provinces, and no matter where I live, Purolator is notoriously terrible "service." As a disabled person with no family and friends who live on the other side of the country, I depend heavily on deliveries and online shopping in order to survive and for my well-being. Purolator doesn't seem to care about this or take it into account at all, though, because every time I have to endure a shipment from them the entire experience is one issue after another.
From the tracking not being accurate, to the fact that Purolator is a running joke in Canada for being lazy and not doing their ONE job, to rude customer service that don't have a clue what they're doing, the list goes on, it's a wonder they are still in business at all. In fact, if they weren't owned by Canada Post and federally regulated, they wouldn't be. It's why their drivers get paid cushy wages to sit in a big truck and drive around pasting "Sorry We Missed You" notes on people's doors instead of actually, you know, doing their jobs.
I am at the point now where if I see an order of mine ship with Purolator, I cancel it. It's not worth the headache, or having to compulsively check the tracking and preemptively try to anticipate and correct their errors to try and ensure a good experience for myself. In the last 2 years I have lived in my new home I have gotten 3 Purolator shipments, and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. has had issues.
This last one was a gazebo I was excited to get for summer time. I am on a fixed income because of my disability, and this was a small gift to myself for feeling well this year, so I can enjoy my yard this summer without getting sick again. It has been sitting in the depot for weeks now. I have contacted them I don't know how many times. I have explained I am disabled and physically can not go across the city and haul a heavy box. I spoke to a supervisor who was very kind and is doing her best to help me, but also basically told me to rely on friends to go pick it up for me and that it's not really their job and there's never a guarantee of redelivery..... now the depot is retaliating by saying they have attempted redelivery when they have not.
Their "accessibility plan" is an absolute sham and nothing but BS for optics and PR.
I'm over it. Hope you all go out of business.

Literally the worst delivery system ever. The delivery person never attempted to call me or use the buzzer code. I couldn't receive the package in person even though I was at home. There's nowhere on the website where I could leave my contact info. I had to go out of my way to contact an agent to make sure they contacted me, but they didn't.

Exceptional Customer Service From Daisey / Location 60803 , Have been several times to this Purolator Location as have been dealing with a family estate with deadlines when Canada Post was on strike and delivery times exceeded my expectations which was critical at the time . Thank You Purolator !

Most of the time they are late, They like to use the weather as an excuse, they mus think we dont have windows in our home! Shipments go missing and good luck with customer service THERE is none

Every! Freaking! Time! they just don't bother, planned delivery with pre-submitted buzzcode, instructions, snaile locker in the building in case courier doesn't have access, and purolator is just the only company WHO NEVER BOTHERS. No intercom buzz, no call, nothing, just post-hoc notification uh-oh we TRIED.
Pay your drivers or teach them or close and start a bakery!
Now I need to travel for 25kg box to the middle of nowhere.

I’m honestly disgusted by the level of service from Purolator.
The delivery driver didn’t even attempt to ring my building’s buzzer, even though the buzzer number was clearly written on the shipping label. Instead of making the most basic effort to deliver the package, the driver simply reported that the building was “inaccessible,” which is completely untrue.
This kind of behavior suggests either laziness or very poor training. If drivers can’t follow the simple instruction of ringing a buzzer that is clearly listed on the label, it raises the question of what kind of training they are receiving.
To make matters worse, Purolator then told me that I would need to pick up the package myself from their nearest depot. That completely defeats the purpose of paying for delivery in the first place.
After seeing the long list of one-star reviews online, it’s clear that this is not an isolated incident. I’m honestly surprised that Purolator is still in business and that companies continue to use them for shipping.
Unfortunately, it seems that Purolator does not take customer satisfaction or accountability seriously. This was an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience.

You guys dont even deserve 1 star. Saying you showed up but didnt, twice. You guys realize most of us have cameras right? We can see your lies.
I hope youre ready to reimburse the customers, like myself, who had to use your service.

I received a weather delay Monday morning the day before I was to receive my package which could be understandable. It is now Wednesday and I have not received any updates. I talked with multiple agents as to updates (even a 2 day window would be fine as I need to be home to receive the package as they drop if off 15km away from me for pickup. I tried for redelivery once and after 2 days of waiting - Purolator said the driver tried to drop off (I was home) then ended up at the pickup location anyway) and they would not or could not event tell me which province my package was in let alone a delivery update. I had another package shipped a day later from the same area in Ontario via UPS and I have received the package today (ground shipped due to batteries). How does UPS do it and I cannot even get a status from Purolator? This is a consistent issue with Purolator and I have no option to use another courier.

Pathetic excuse for a delivery company. I was home all day. Went to walk my dog late afternoon and found the delivery notice stuck to my power meter. How lazy is that! Another 6 ft is my door. These clowns will leave $3000 of fragile electronics outside my garage door in the driveway during a snow storm, but take back a hundred dollars worth of drawer slides from Amazon. The drop off/ pickup place has hours that down even come close to serving people who need to go out of their way to get the parcel.

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with from the delivery driver to two customer service agents on the phone to the person at the pick up desk where I had to go and get my package after the delivery driver refused to follow clear delivery instructions. STAY AWAY!!!

I have never had a good experience with purolator. This time there was an error with the address they had and I corrected it as soon (which was also a pain, tried calling and would be redirected to the live chat which was awful) as I got the message but then kept getting the notification for the next week that there was an issue. Kept going through the process and was told it would be redelivered but nope they went and sent it back to the sender 🙄 In the past have had issues with them “attempting” to deliver and giving up after one try and they just blatantly ignored all delivery instructions and never even attempted to access the building.

Worst courier company of all time! If I could give it zero I would. Estimated delivery is nonsense and at some point your shipment just dissappear from their tracking. Customer Service knows even less. Why are they still in business???

Worst company and customer service ever. Suppose to deliver express package in 1 day from Ontario to Calgary.. its been a week and tracking says delayed due to connection. Funny part is its been sitting in calgary for 5 days.
I wouldn't order from anyone online who uses purolator as their courier.

My package was supposed to be delivered on Feb 19th but reached st johns processing facility Feb 25th. Then sat there until March 6th. When I called they couldn't find it. Then on the Feb 6th they stuck it in the mail. I will never use you guys. Never ever. Your customer service hardly speak English. I give your company a 0 across the board.

It is getting worse by the day. Had a package supposed to be delivered on Thursday, really important one. When they got to my building, couldnt find the buzzer, no harm, there is no buzzer (broken). The driver could have called, or even drop my package at one pick up location. Instead, he put the delivery as missing information at 1PM of the same day. I message purolator and asked to have package change for pick up (their warehouse is about 10 min from my place). They confirm and gave me a ticket. 1 day passes by, system still hasn't updated. Got in the chat again, now it is friday afternoon. and They say will take another business day to update the system. meaning I may be able to pick it up with luck on Monday, most likely on tuesday. therefore, 5 days delay on a package that is really important. I broke my phone, samsung sent a kit to send to samsung repair. thats what is in the package. So it means 5 more days without a phone, can you imagine the nightmare? adding up to samsung "time to fix" I will stay half a month without a phone because purolator could not bother to have comon sense

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I have received regarding a delivery that I have been waiting for for over a week.
During this time, I contacted customer service several times hoping to receive accurate information or a solution. Unfortunately, I was given incorrect information which created false expectations about the delivery timeline. This has been extremely frustrating, especially as this package is very important.
What I found particularly concerning was that during one of my calls, an agent asked me to stop calling. I found this response to be quite rude and unprofessional, as I was simply trying to ensure that my package had not been lost.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with this experience. I expected clearer communication and better support from your customer service team.
