Have had to restart membership as you started taking more money than you should to now have to pay £15 membership fees. Absolutely disgusting scam as you have been doing it to a lot of people. No contact number to complain only email that advises to cancel. This is kind theft.. just saying! Why do you NOT have a customer service NUMBER?

Great strength class.
Great strength class with New pt James tonight. Good variety of excerises and James was also very understanding of injuries and hearing difficulties. Will definitely be rebooking to participate in this class again.

Would have been 5 stars apart except…
Would have been 5 stars apart except for one big issue! Equipment Facilities are just fine but as many others have pointed out from as far back as January the men's showers are disgusting, black mould around the base of the shower and don't get me started on the smell, after 1 minute of being in the shower you will smell what I can only describe as raw sewage coming from the drains, not very plesant when trying to get clean.
I've emailed the gym to make them aware with no response so far. Looking back through the other reviews it seems the gym must be aware but aren't taking action.
Happy to update my review if this gets fixed.

Puregym sent me an invite to write this review. I have previous responded to several internal review request, and each has highlighted the same problem however no action was taken to remedy the issues.
The Puregym offers value for money membership, 24 hour access and a good range of equipment set across two spacious floors. Access to the gym is via digital entry system which is easy to use provided you remember your personal entry code.
Now the negative points, there is only one cleaning station on each floor, that consists of one paper towel dispenser and one bottle of Anti-bac spray. There are no notice politely reminding members to wipe down equipment after use.
As a consequence of the shortage of cleaning materials very few members bother to wipe down equipment, benches are often left with sweaty patches bars and other equipment are often sweaty, not a healthy or safe situation.
I cannot speak about the female showers but those in the male changing rooms a disgusting, thick black mould spores covering the sealant and freely circulating mould spores across the shower pan and on the side walls. Mould spores pose a real risk of causes or aggravating respiratory condition.
I have taken the time to raise these issues with the Puregym management, however the response was disappointing, suggesting that there are no funds available to correct the problem.
Puregym you need to sort this out!

Good gym but filthy showers
The gym was generally clean and well-equipped, with a good variety of machines and weights that catered to all workout needs. However, the condition of the showers was a major letdown. All three showers had visible dirt and hair in their bases, and the floor had chewing gum stuck to it. Additionally, the drain plugs were clogged with hair, which made the entire area feel unkempt and unhygienic. For a facility that takes pride in its fitness equipment, the state of the showers was disappointing and certainly detracted from the overall experience.

Needs a good clean...not very sanitary!
The cleaning station is often empty/dispensers don't work. Almost always, there is no soap in the toilets. The gym generally looks like it needs a good clean!

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
With regards to equipment breaking are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
If you have any concerns about specific pieces, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym

Easy day pass
Just bought a day pass. Dead easy to do online but would be handy if it would accept Google or Apple Pay for a one-off payment. Gym had all the equipment you'd need. Would go again.

The gym had a warm friendly feeling…
The gym had a warm friendly feeling about it. No-one seemed to judge. Plenty of machines and they were easy to use/had clear instructions.
