Awful communication

Awful communication, awful doctors that charge £245 for appointments only to show up for 10 mins of it. Truly disgusting abuse of vulnerable patients.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service.
Currently going through a restructure, cannot get hold of anyone on the phone for months. My mental health is worse now than it was when I started. It's unbelievable that not only they can get away with this but also that clinical psychiatrists would want to be associated with this company. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY FOR ADHD DIAGNOSIS!

Negligent and irresponsible

Have been a patient for over a year. Never able to get through to anyone over the phone, takes days to get a response over email. They do not provide good customer support, they seem like they don’t care about their patients. When you need help you have to chase them for a response, the customer care team are terrible.
They do not inform patients of any important news that could affect us, like the Medication shortage, they didn’t warn anyone about this or offer any solutions or help, you have to chase them for help.

If you are wishing to treat your ADHD or any mental health condition, I would not recommend this company as they cause a deterioration to your mental health by how much you have to struggle to get help from them.

As a private service, you would expect catered care, but they are very negligent, very careless and do not support their patients in the way they promise to.

Do not choose this company if you want help with your mental health conditions, they do nothing to support you.

Very poor communication

No one answers the phone.
You call, choose either new or existing patient, and are then told no attendants are available before the call is immediately ended. I booked an appointment online and it states recieving an onboarding call but that never came. To speak to someone on the phone I had to email the customer care team, wait for an automated email response, then fill out an online information request from the link in that email. Then recieved a call hours later only 1.5 hours before my appointment. Communication is severely lacking, which is not ideal for mental health services.

The pricing doesn't really fit the level of service.

However I had no issues during the actual appointment and the psychologist was great.

Awful communication. Honestly, just scam artists.

Appalling Company

If "communication" had a meaning, Psymplicity wouldn't be it. I received my ADHD assessment in October of 2021; I received a report of the assessment a few days later via email, just titled "Your ADHD assessment report". After reading a few lines, I closed the document - after all, it's just a report on something I was there for.

I then waited for any following communication. A week passed. A month passed. After the 3 month mark, I emailed them, asking about when I was to receive medication. They responded that they'd sent it to the Pharmacy 3 months earlier; how was I to know? Oh- At the very bottom of the assessment report, my doctor said she would be sending me meds in the coming days.

Of course, there was no correspondance informing me that my meds were being sent, because how foolish of me to assume otherwise. Throughout your care at Psymplicity, despite the fact that they quite literally use Tracked 24 as their courier, you receive absolutely no tracking information, absolutely no indication that your meds have arrived -- you don't even get told when they've been sent. I had to pay an additional £50 to make up for what I assumed would be a logical line of communication.

You don't get emails such as "Next month is when you're expected for a follow-up appointment", "Your doctor's schedule has changed and is only avaliable on x days of the week." I cannot emphasise this enough: You do not receive any communication from them. It feels far less customer/patient, than it does that they're some sort of disjointed support hotline who are awful at their jobs. SO often did I find myself emailing them for information on things. Everything, and I mean everything, comes down to you constantly hassling them, sending repeat emails to get through, etc etc. It's a joke.

I then received an email saying I needed to book a follow-up appointment. I had yet to still receive ANY medication at this point. I was confused at this; I mean, what's changed since our initial assessment? I decided to follow through, because I made the mistake of putting my trust in them. I spent another £250 on a follow-up, and when I got there, my doctor was completely unaware of the situation, first asking "How are your meds going?". Why would they ask me to book a follow-up??

On our next follow-up appointment, my doctor asked me if I'd like to move up to the next tier of medication, 40mg. She said it was completely my choice, and I said that I definitely will need to move up to 40mg, but because I'd been taking it inconsistently, I'd like to have another month of 30mg to allow my body to acclimate. The next month, I paid the £50 for a new prescription. I was emailed to tell me that I'd need to book another £250 follow-up, just so I can move up the 10mg that my doctor had ALREADY CONSENTED TO.

Another GREAT one is that time that they DIDN'T EVEN SEND ME THE ZOOM LINK FOR THE APPOINTMENT. I waited until around 10 minutes before the appointment before calling, and they said they'd send another one. I have no direct lines of communication with the doctor, so I just anxiously waited. My doctor rang me via my mobile, and I told her the situation. So, we both just waited for this link. I got to my 15-minute appointment with around 6 minutes left.

It was this, more than anything, which made me conclude that Psymplicity isn't a health care practice. They are nothing more than an administrator who doesn't care for you, and only exists to take your money and make your life extremely difficult to access the other side, where the ACTUAL healthcare happens.

Stay AWAY!

Dear Shane, thank you for your feedback. I apologise for your poor experience. All your points are valid and to that end we we have been reworking our comms structure over the past few months and can understand your frustration. We have recently implemented an internal prescription task system that will then allow patients direct access to info on the status of their prescription as well as accurate follow up appointment timings.

Currently we are also actively overhauling our phone and ticket channels.
I hope you will find your future care experience with Psymplicity significantly improved.

not good

I am very disappointed with psymplicitys duty of care. there communication methods are not at all considerate or user friendly for neurodivergent people like me. i feel like this whole company aims to profit off of peoples issues. although I've had a good experience with the dr himself. the people in reception have not communicated things with me clearly at all and i haven't heard back from them in 2 weeks. they wont pick up the phone and my prescription has run out, go elsewhere !

They didn't write up my ADHD assessment…

They didn't write up my ADHD assessment the first time, I had to fight them for a year to get a second assessment, then before I actually get the report they send me an email saying the guy who did the second email doesn't work for them anymore

Calls and emails were left unanswered

Calls and emails were left unanswered. You cannot reach them. It took me three weeks to get someone on the phone to book my review. Now, the review is overdue after the delay. My review took place. However, the prescription issued by my doctor did not arrive at the pharmacy they were supposed to send it to. The whole point of the review is to get medication prescribed, but now I wasted my money as there is no prescription and as they don't respond to emails and phone calls there is no way to get this resolved.

The doctors are great & consultations too but customer service is really rather bad.

The doctors are great, but trying to get a hold of anyone is incredibly difficult- You call one of their 3 numbers and 4/5, there's an automated message that says "There are no available agents" and it just hangs up. Doesn't even make you wait, just hangs up... Which is quite annoying. No one answers emails either and after my first consultation, I was asked to send my doctor the address of my pharmacy but never gave me an email so I sent it to the admin reception one but haven't heard anything back, it's been 3 business days and my pharmacy still hasn't received my prescription or anything. It's a shame because the concept is really great :(

Understanding and patient !

I have had a great experience with Psymplicity since I was diagnosing with them in April 2022. It has taken some time to get the right medication for me but they’ve worked with me and reviewed me at appropriate intervals to see what needs adjusting. I am doing much better in my work now, and have managed to earn a promotion after being in the same role for 12 years, so this is big progress for me.

Don’t know how much they’re paying for these 5* reviews

Honestly don’t know how much psymplicity are paying for these 5 star reviews.

The company are a complete joke, and that was before they had winding up orders issued by HMRC.

I had doctors not turn up to appointments, prescriptions “lost” in the post. My doctor left and they didn’t bother to tell me, so had the stress of having to start with a new doctor, who then also left as psymplicity are going down.

Honestly, fully avoid, loads of providers out there who will provide a much better service.

Absolutely life changing

Absolutely life changing, I will never forgot how amazing this company is!
I felt a bit aware at first due to some negative reviews, however from the start from speaking to the admin team to having my appointment with Dr Charis Pandis I couldn’t be happier!

I loved Dr Charis Pandis, he listened to everything, and he really did understand everything I was going through and even went over the agreed time. Was so nice to talk to him and such a great feeling on having nothing but positive vibes about him and how he has helped me.

The whole turnaround from booking an appointment, seeing a Doctor and getting my medication was exceptional!!

I was going to do shared care with my GP, however much prefer this service to the NHS and will continue.

First day on my ADHD medication and it’s the best I’ve felt over 20 years!

Thank you big time Psymplicity

The future of private healthcare: appalling

Staff overworked or understaffed - can't work out which. They routinely won't get back to your emails and calls. They will try to charge you through the roof for anything - they once tried to charge me £50 to send me a copy of the prescription I'd just received.

All the doctors seem to care about it getting you on medication and keeping you on it.

The only support I've received as a patient has been prescriptions and a single email highlighting potential "strategies" to manage ADHD.

Monthly catch ups are a complete joke. Again, all they care about is prescribing higher and higher doses of medication
