The consultant was very well informed on all matters of Autism, I was impressed by the quality of his questions and ongoing reflections on my responses and was very satisfied with his feedback at the end of the meeting and the follow-up he said he would carry out with my GP

From the start of being on the waiting list until the assessment was only a matter of months, I was dealt with diagnosed & put on titration all in 1 video call, the service was great and the lady who was assessing me was fantastic at a certain point she told me to have a break what was good as I was getting restless and I was already anxious about the assessment but it was nothing to worry about. Thank you 🙏

I chose an assessor and got another one doing the assessment who is not the one I chose, this was only announced to me on the day of the assessment which I found unsettling. The second assessor looked irritated and was in a hurry to log off. Simon was lovely and talked to me and my partner after she logged off which was very nice of him. He was kind and empathetic.
I also found it weird that I was told I will not get the assessment until November but when I talked about it to my Gp and was thinking of moving to another service I was suddenly offered an appointment.
My advice if you will go through with them, have your answers prepared in advance because when you get asked these questions on the spot, you will not have an accurate answer that describes your experience and you will not be given time to think about the accurate answer that describes your struggles and feelings.
For adults awaiting the assessment my advice is try to book the appointment on days where you feel okay so you can have a clear mind when you are having the assessment. Also make sure which assessor you are getting, if you do not want two assessors to assess you I think you should be able to do so, but ask in advance specially if you have difficulty expressing yourself on the spot out of fear of being rejected or being viewed difficult.

I saw 2 specialists on 2 separate occasions. The first for ASD and the second for ADHD. Both were absolutely amazing. They gave me room to talk and very kindly directed me back to topic if I went off course. I couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and how comfortable they made me feel. I would highly recommend.

Waiting list was very long. My referral after chasing after a year was apparently never received which was a set back. Once seen James was great at the assessment and Rebecca was always very responsive with titration.

I was recently assessed by Dr Farah Naz and cannot recommend her highly enough.
From the start, Dr Naz put me at ease. She was polite, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything in full; from the diagnostic process to what my diagnosis meant for me, and what I could expect next. She clearly outlined the treatment pathway, including medication options and waiting times, so I left the appointment feeling informed and supported, not overwhelmed.
What stood out most was how comfortable she made me feel. I never felt rushed or judged. She listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and approached the assessment with an open mind. It made a significant difference to my experience.
As for Psychiatry-UK as a company, I have been genuinely impressed. The turnaround for my assessment was far quicker than I expected, and I was kept informed and updated at every stage. Communication was clear, the process was straightforward, and I always knew what was happening next.
I am grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr Naz and Psychiatry-UK to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment.

My psychiatrist Dr Ben was amazing. Also my perscriber David
However. Having to wait a whole year from diagnosis to starting my titration was really hard. Ive struggled my whole life. Relentlessly trying medication and different antidepressants. I can't believe how life changing this medication is.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Psychiatry-UK. The assessment process was excellent — the assessors were empathetic, insightful, helpful and balanced.
The titration process was equally good. My titration nurse was extremely knowledgeable and responsive, including responding outside typical working hours. I felt able to progress at my own pace, with the process tailored to me, and they consistently checked that I was comfortable before moving forward or making decisions.
The main downside was the long wait for assessment and then for titration after diagnosis. However, this is clearly due to the very high demand and waiting lists rather than the quality of the service itself.
Overall, I’ve felt listened to, supported and genuinely involved in the process, and I would definitely recommend Psychiatry-UK.

My prescriber, Jan, was very helpful and kind from beginning to end. Responses on the patient portal are fast, often within 1-2 days. They ensure you are informed about the titration process, and that you are happy with your medication. Any worries are immediately addressed. Great experience!
