Provident sent me a letter saying i could be entitled to compensation because of there error dealing with loans i phoned the number on letter but no luck

Got my cheque last week paid into bank on 21st November 2022 cheque was rejected what do I do now

This company are privacy invading money grabbers. Call unannounced at you're home, speaking loudly so neighbours can here you're business. £1000 loan £1900 paid back!!!! Please don't use this doorstep loan company it's legalized robbery. Had no appreciation for our privacy and I was constantly nagged for payments, I can't tell you how awful they are. Avoid at all costs and don't let them into you're home. Often people's credit score isn't as bad as they think and lenders will consider them, at a much lower interest rate. Interest is horrendous and they claim to help people, joke! They prey on people struggling on benefits

Absolute scumbags I'm still in debt with debt collectors because agents couldn't be bothered 2 turn up for payments my accounts was then sold on to debt collectors and was told I should of called and payed by card well wasn't that simple forme that's why chose a DOOR STEP COLLECTION COMPANY and now have been screwed further by them with the compensation because they sold on my debt so no compensation for miss sellingme loans and I still have the debt affecting my credit score DO NOT USE PROVIDENT YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND END UP IN DEBT

They wont pay me my rebate because i am a vulnerable disabled person who is owed 2000 estimate in rebate but ive been overlooked again because of my disability i find it dificult understanding and speaking they treating me as stupid twice i spoke to them 12th of january 2022 raine and 20th of january 2022 they advised my claim was going through now theyve said no claim no money why is yhis because i am vulnerable and disabled and they dont liked disabled people and im stupid surely someone can get my money for me surely

How the hell are provident getting away with refunding such small amounts in refund for miss selling loans had 5 loans over the years only took 2 of the lowest loans into consideration even when I been on sick since 2015 and struggling over years the insulting customers by refunding 4.2% in every £1 I got refund of £63 paid hell of alot more then that in interest all loans would add up to over £6000 the owner of provident should be jailed for a very long time for fraud and deception and theft they made millions of customers over the years

My experience is the same as many others on here. I had numerous loans from them, all under the same circumstances as others, up to my eyes in debt, and all unaffordable. Yet they kept lending.
Now they deemed only a fraction of my loans were unaffordable, and surprise surprise, their independent adjudicator thinks the same.
I paid out £25 for medical evidence supporting my mental health issues, and Provident have just paid me £24.65 as supposed compensation.
I wish Trust Pilot would let me say what I really think!

Vehicle reg: FE15 WFW. Make: Land Rover. Model: Discovery sport. The company this company owns Moneybarn are the real culprits, but it must stem down from this company! Give the vehicles details as don’t care if the get copied, I will never use this vehicle again! Engine blew up in 29th March 2022, after only picking the car up in February 2022!!! Moneybarn are the finance company I used to buy the car and today 26th May 2022 marks 58 days they car has been sat outside my house still never been moved! Today is the 56th day there complaints department is still investigating what there going to do to resolve the situation! They are deliberately running down the days on my warranty of the vehicle so it then becomes my problem! Warranty company only willing to pay £2000 to the cost of a new engine, and the garage E&E car sales are refusing to help in anyway! Avoid this company at all cost, the vehicles MOT and service certs have been falsified, vehicle was never fit to be driven let alone sold!!! This company only puts you in touch with dodgy garages that sell dodgy cars. I will never pay for this vehicle and I know for a fact E&E and Moneybarn have no care or concern about the Vehicle or my own well-being. I have yet to even receive the logbook! Complete scam artist stay well clear! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do not sign any contract with this company!!!

The worst company ever.
I had a loan fraudulently taken out in my name. They have taken zero responsibility, even though the loan didn’t match up with my own details.
Contacted them 4 times this week and they send the same reply, they need more information, when it’s the SAME INFORMATION i have given them 3 times already.
HORRIFIC EXCUSE FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM.

I have read the excellent and the worst reviews concerning provident loans. I have over the years borrowed from this company when times have been financially difficult.
My findings are that the excellent reviews have been written by people that have been in a similar situation as me, when your so hard up and have no choice but to borrow from this company its a huge saviour and lifeboat for those that are drowning in financial difficulty.
The worst reviews are written by people that have been saved to start with only to find that the repayments become relentless and with time, financially hard times return and then the repayments become almost impossible particularly when it dawns on people that should they borrow £500 then £1000 has to be repaid. .
Personally I have borrowed and I have managed to repay every last penny, I am now free of provident and my suggestion would be to you do not borrow from this company until every last avenue has been explored, seriously considered and thought through VERY VERY carefully !!!!

I had five unaffordable loans with this awful company years ago and they knew I was financially struggling each time they came to my home.
I was getting these loans to consolidate others !
Because of these persistent unaffordable loans I ended up losing my home, relationship break up, had to pay back over ten years with a government funded debt management company , while raising three children on my own..
I got diagnosed with cancer last year so haven’t worked since June 2021 so thought this compensation would help me out this year ! Out of my five loans I had with them , they’ll only refund me on one of them with a rate of 4 to 6 pence to every £100 I paid back ..
£47 to me is an absolute insult and how the hell these people get away with what they do is beyond me ??
They’ll expect me to prove the other four loans wasn’t affordable which is ridiculous .
Im still having treatment and now being fast tracked for another serious illness so can’t be dealing with the stress Provident scheme is causing me ..
I HOPE KARMA works it’s magic on this God awful company and I think the GOVERNMENT should get involved to help us get our money back WITH compensation .

Provident are doing this scheme with a payback people money from loans from 2011 to 2020,
Here are my issue with it, while they are seeming to be helpful and do the right thing because of irresponsible lending this is my experience with it,
They haven't included all my loans from 2011 to 2017 they have only picked the loans that they deemed they don't have to pay me anything back even though even with these loans they have told me they have included it very clear that they was irresponsible lending to me at the time,
They have also not been clear and the reason why I have asked multiple times why all my loans are not Included and I have had no reply about this, here is my warning expect a long fight on your hands they are doing the same tactics with this pay back scheme as they did when lending, I wouldn't get my hopes up even if you have a very good and clear claim to put to them they will try find loop holes to not pay you back the money you are owed, they aloud me to get into some much debt over the years when I had very low income and none at all, I just hope enough people complain on the treatment they get from these guys,

Never take any form of finance with these individuals.

I put in claim and they saying my loan was affordable and reject my claim when they haven't even seen my bank statements and had to borrow money off family???

Absolute thieves! If they do your claim and you're meant to get £100 they only give you £4 of it and that's the same if you get £1000 they simply give you £40, what's the point?! Absolute scum bags and con artists! Stay well clear if you can.

Terrible company! Interest rates are crazy high!! Someone must claim a lawsuit against them!

TERRIBLE COMPANY! THEY DO NOT CARE AND DO NOT LISTEN - AN EX TENANT WHO TOOK OUT ONE OF THESE LOANS. I AM BEING PLAGUED WITH LETTERS AND DEBT AGENCIES DESPITE ME TELLING THEM THEY MOVED OUT 4 YEARS AGO. NOT TOO DIFFICULT TO PERFORM A NEW TENANT FIND NOW IS IT!!!... LEAVING 1 START BUT SHOULD BE 10 MINUS

Absolutely shocking, nothing but loan sharks, they have millions upon millions of company worth but will only compensate a small percentage of customers, discusting, everyone need to stand up to them, my debt of 2800 has been sent to a debt collector as my agent failed time and time.again to show up to collect, now with a damaged credit file and a debt collector hassling me needless to say I'm.qell pissed off with this shirty company

I worked for this company 13 years self employed and I loved it in 2017 went full time it was worse thing that provident could of ever done. Treat staff like Roberts with voice recorded no other loan companies did this. I was always dragged to the local office because I didn't say things right now my local office was 2 hour drive the boss was a bully other staff left and I went on sick due to depression and anxiety due to being bullyed I did take it to hr but there took the bosses side she was one big bully am glad that lus company has gone done hill and am glad she is now looking for an other job. I remember it like it was yesterday what she said when my nanna sadly passed away she was just about money. How can you say this the day before Christmas eve when your nanna dies make sure you get back on your tertty and do some work. My nanna was like my mum and she knew this. She will be a very sad lonely old lady one day and am glad she out of a job
