good service despite short staffed

Poor experience overall
Overall an extremely poor experience from start to finish. My car went in for an MOT and failed. I was told if i had 2 new front tyres and them realigned then it would be put back through and would be then passed. The next day after hearing nothing back i finally got through on the phone to be told that actually that was not enough to pass the MOT and that more work was needed and it would be done that day. I waited all day to collect my car and again had no contact and I also could not get through. I finally got through the next day and was told my car would be ready to collect at 11:30. I phoned at this time to double check and was told it still had not been done and to come to collect by 3pm as it would definately be done by then. I arrived after the school run around 4pm giving them even more time and upon my arrival i was told they were going to do it there and then! I explained i had somewhere to be and was told to come after 3pm to collect. The gentlemen on the front desk was a credit to team and could not apologise enough although it was not his fault. I am not one to usually do reviews etc but i found that the whole process was a joke other than the two colleagues on the front desk. We have used this garage for years as a family but will not be going back after having 3 poor experiences, my wife, mother in law and now myself.

MOT very thorough but check work
MOT very thorough. 4 new tyres not inflated to the correct pressures. They corrected this when I checked on collecting the car. I also had to query what they had torqued the wheel nuts to as you are advised by them to check yourself after 50 miles. Answer given was 140 nm. It should be 120. So, be sure to check what they do before driving off.
