Dissapointed with my recent service
Dissapointed with my recent service. Took my car in Monday for 2 new tyres and tracking, paid for online. Got a call monday to say the nut had been sheared previously and they would have to replace and not sure if when replacing would damage the hub? Something like that. I asked how much this would this would cost me abd was told they would need to get more information from the mechanic to give me the quote but it wasn't safe to drive and I'd have to leave it there till they fixed it. I phoned my husband because he had fitted new track rod ends that weekend as he used to eb a mechanic. He phoned them and said they were not sheared, he put them on with his fingers and tightened it with a breaker bar and they were fine. Low and behold it wasn't done previously, they had damaged it in the mechanic shop. They made me wait till Wednesday for them to fix it and when I drove it home, it was obvious the tracking had not been done because to go straight the steering wheel had to be turned to the right so my hands were at 12 & 4. Had to take her back in Saturday morning. 2 nee tyres and tracking should not take nearly a week to sort especially when the damage was thier fault. This wouldnt be an issue if they ddidnt try to blame the dmasge on someone else and then not compete the work already paid for. I will now need to find and garage again 😞 no Polohy was had and no discount offered for inconvenience or incompetence

5 stars - absolutely no doubt
Team at Exeter were outstanding- from the management team on the front desk to the team on the shop floor. I pitched up at the end of the working day with an emergency puncture and a long journey ahead. No quibbling or ‘sorry sir we’re about to close…’ - checked the vehicle and got it into the workshop immediately- top man had a new tyre on & ready to go within about 15 minutes!
