Very dissatisfied with the Pro-Form CBC exercise bike. For £700.00 we didn’t expect a professional (gym) quality machine, but we did expect something that was fit for purpose. The longest we have been... See more

AVOID PROFORM AND PAUL BROAD FITNESS SOLUTIONS.

Proform treadmills are rubbish. Mine at only 5 years old, and not used that often, has console issues. I contacted customer service who advised to go through PAUL BROAD FITNESS SOLUTIONS - A WORD OF ADVICE HERE, ALWAYS AVOID A COMPANY WITH SOLUTIONS IN THEIR TITLE! Paul Broad is the only treadmill engineers for Proform in the UK and they exploit this to the full. They charge whatever they feel like with no guarantee that they can repair your machine. Eventually they informed me that there are no replacement consoles available - anywhere. So that is it. My Treadmill is going to the tip. Not what I'd expect of a machine that cost nearly 2K.

Nobody is there to contact when you…

Nobody is there to contact when you have an issue.

Is this actually legal? My equipment would need repair and I am just going in circles as nobody answers phones/emails ,nothing.

Great machines but if you have issues do not even have your hopes up,just bin your equipment.

Awful.

Honestly this treadmill has lasted…

Honestly this treadmill has lasted about eight months, came up saying it needed an update, updated now it refuses to work that was back in November 23 it’s now late January 24 and after numerous emails and lengthy phone calls where emails are left unanswered and phone calls are on for 1hour plus or caught off outright. This thing is £1200 and it’s basically lasted just shy a full term pregnancy. Honestly don’t buy these products. Literally now have a 60kg paperweight in my garage that serves F@&k all. Customer service/support is a joke and should be renamed to “pro form you had a choice in fitness equipment and you choose POORLY”

*Update* 21/02/24
Last received correspondence on 31/01/24 asking for further details sent off details on 02/02/24 and 19 days later nada, apart from a notification on here asking for the same details or my review here will get deleted due authenticity. Honestly have spoken to two other people who have gone through the same issue and found a massive Reddit thread again with the same issues. Again DO NOT BUY. ghosted by customer service which clearly know of the problem and feel it’s better to ignore folks rather than actually help.

**Update**

05/03/24 nearly a month later zero contact from
Millie Williams customer service agent, got told I’d get an update in a week it’s been a month contacted last week and they have “no record of my emails”. Honestly do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY FROM THESE JOKERS

Terrible Customer services

I purchased a Proform Studio s22 £999, it has barely been used and the peddle has come off. Closer inspection the crank arm has rounded.

I contacted Proform CS and got the standard reply saying their busy, please be patient. I received an email from Darren asking for pictures replied within an hour 7 days later still no reply from Darren. Bike is still broke. What is the point of a 2 yr warranty if you cant speak to anyone to get the issue fixed.

Poor Customer Care!

We bought an elliptical machine, and paid £200 for it to be "professionally" built. When using it for the first time, it broke, throwing me from the machine onto the floor. It is only by sheer luck that I was not more seriously injured, other than a twisted knee.
On inspection, it would seem that a crucial part has been completely missed during the build. It is highly concerning that no final safety check was carried out prior to handover. Furthermore, on bringing this problem to ProForm's attention, they have not even sent out an engineer to inspect it. They have put the responsibility of identifying the missing part onto myself. We paid for it to be built, to ensure that it was safe and fit for purpose.
After a series of frustrating emails,
we now know that the missing part is in stock with ProForm. Unfortunately, they have still not advised us when the repair will be carried out. I will be contacting them again tomorrow with the expectation that it will be done before Christmas, however, I am not getting my hopes up.
I am saddened and disappointed by the incredibly poor service received. We will not be making any further purchases from ProForm, and will not be recommending them.

Now into the New Year, and more than a month on from original problem, and we're still being messed around. Panther Logistics, the company appointed by ProForm/iFit UK have cancelled on me twice in the past week, having rescheduled an appointment without even the courtesy of informing me first! Then cancelling again this morning for a scheduled collection of the broken machine, and delivery of a new machine. ProForm/iFit have still not had the decency to respond to my last email requesting an update. Customer Service is an absolute disgrace!

Ridiculous return fee - surprised if legal practice.

Poor product C10U bike- RRP 999 -on offer at 299 flimsy build and slow to load through outdated tablet.(sure it was likely never 999 - but I expected better)
Tried to return within 14 days. Which they were happy with. 15% reduction in refund due to 'diminished value' as it was opened and built.....fine and understandable.

BUT...to return I had to pay £95 for collection.
I couldn't return it myself!? Courier prices would not be that much. IFit only based 30mins from me - so i could have dropped it off myself. again...not an option.

It would have cost me £150 to return my £299 bike, 5 days after it was delivered.

This must be a breach of consumer rights laws. Making it financially unfeasible to return their products. Unethical at least - likely illegal practice.

Avoid - or go through a proper retailer with customer support.
more expensive bikes probably ok quality.

AVOID THIS RUBBISH COMPANY..

AVOID THIS RUBBISH COMPANY... PURE JUNK!!

Purchased the pro2000 treadmill in August 2023 & platform board broke by September 2023, literally cracked full length of the treadmill. Contacted customer service as soon as this happened & by 14th November 2023 after chasing up numerous calls & emails the most we have heard from them is they are waiting on the part coming. Almost 12 weeks of waiting, we are waiting no longer & demanding a full refund as product is not fit for purpose. To be totally honest PROFORM FITNESS AS A COMPANY IS AN UTTER DISGRACE, from looking at their shocking reviews online on numerous places I wish I would of spent my 2k wiser on a better brand of company with actual customer services who care about their products & brand & sure as hell seems I aint alone with this!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!

How long is a reasonable time to repair…

How long is a reasonable time to repair a treadmill that breaks. I view it like a car in terms of importance.

Expecting next day repair seems excessive, a month is too long. A week and a half might be okay. At the moment we are at 7 days and I have a call along the lines of "end of next week maybe if the parts are available"... which is kind of problematic. Though i also understand there be a bit of a supply chain problem at the moment.

I imagine there are people for whom a random month long delay in using their treadmill is okay. They might go to a gym etc or do something else, for me this isn't really the case. For other people... I'd say get something second hand and pay for people to repair things rather than paying for a warranty with a different notion of timeliness. That said, perhaps everything will be fixed next week, and maybe most repair people would have similar issues.

So yeah, expect at least a couple of weeks for repairs!

Update: Repaired on Thursday a week a week after reporting so 12 days downtime.

DO NOT PURCHASE A ROWER

DO NOT PURCHASE A ROWER
If you want a machine that can measure average split time, distance reasonably accurately do not buy this machine. You will be breaking world records. The speeds and distances shown are probably c 35percent too fast versus any other rower and several metrics are inconsistent (average 500m split time will be consistently below what you are told you are rowing, the distance doesn't tally with the total time of the row). All ifit distance based rows are therefore pointless and the manual setting cannot be used consistently. The UK team have confirmed that this is how the machines is meant to be. Meaning it has been sold with clear defects.

PROFORM treadmills are junk and do not work , do not buy them

I ordered a new Proform treadmill. It took three days to build and then it would not turn on. After days waiting for customer service they decided to take the old one away and send me another new one. This box was dirty and torn and again took three days to build. Turned it on and motor and drive system made shrieking sound and was obviously unusable.
They took this one away and before issuing credit they demanded a video of the non working machine. Pick up driver told me that loads of other Proform failed machines at their depot.
DO NOT BUY A PROFORM TREADMILL. They are rubbish and you are treated really badly by them when you have an issue

Great machines but the manual software is a bit disappointing.

I got a crosstrainer and rower from Proform. Both are so far great and clearly well made machines.

Overall I am really glad I bought these. They're both heavy so placing them in the right room was tricky but they were them relatively straightforward to assemble. The crosstrainer started squeaking a month in but some wd40 seems to have done the trick.

The only reason I havent given 5 stars is because of the software. The membership version of ifit is very much geared to people who want a coach, with little options to just have courses created without someone talking at you the whole time. So there is a bit of sussing out which trainer you like - it wpuld be helpful if the info section told you about their styles rather than focussing on the activity itself. Of course, you can also just mute them but some talk for a bit before the workout starts which can be annoying if you want to get going. Without the membership the software seemed incredibly basic - no built in programmes so entirely manual, without any background videos to put on (I was expecting some videos minus a trainer like most gym crosstrainers have but no). The memberships also arent very transparent - from searching online it seems like the only way to get an individual membership is by cancelling or complaining to customer services. I dont get why they dont sell them online if advertising them. I imagine they hope most people just continue on with the free trial multi user version rather than the faff.

From the quality so far I am hopeful that these will last a good few years making them worth paying that extra bit for.

Really happy with my cross trainer and the 14inch screen is fantastic! I love using the ifit hiking workouts on it and it’s brilliant that the cross trainer automatically adjusts the incline to match the terrain on the ifit video. Feels like a solid, sturdy machine so let’s hope it stands the test of time!

Our new rower is great. It was delivered quickly, easy to set up, and fun to use. My partner especially likes the iFit videos which help with motivation and give some structure for progressing. Would recommend to anyone.
