Priceline is a fraudulent company and…

Priceline is a fraudulent company and needed to be taken down or look into. So, we booked a one night stay in a Fairfield by Marriott in & Suites Homestead in Miami Florida, due to illness emergency leading to me not being able to stay in the room. I reached out to priceline to cancel my booking, but they told me the room can not be canceled and non refundable and asked me to contact the hotel, we contacted Fairfield Marriott Hotel and informed them able my situation, they also told me to contact priceline back and let them know about our situation, it was as if they were playing games, it was all a scheme and someone trying to take my money and not refund me. Mind you I called like 8 hours ahead before my check in time and still they won't refund me back. I would advise anyone to stay away from priceline, they are big scammers and stay away from this Homestead Hotel in Florida. 60 Southwest 352nd street, Florida City, Florida 33034, United States.

Insane policies and zero customer service

Booked a hotel last evening for a 10 night stay the following week ($1900), so 5 days prior. Needed to switch hotels to stay with other people coming in for the project. Switch would only have been from one Marriott to a different Marriott. I am used to easily cancelling or changing a reservation when I book direct, so my mistake using Priceline to begin with and did NOT see their policy has a penalty fee if I opt to cancel. Day after booking I asked to cancel. Their AI Penny said sure I can cancel for an $1800 + change fee. They would refund me $19.97. I'm sorry what? No way to contact an actual person I could find. Policy is absolutely ridiculous in this day and age and believe me neither myself nor anyone from my company will ever use Priceline for any travel reservations. NOT EVER.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I would leave a 0-star if this site allowed it.

We booked a flight and resort package which had to be cancelled due to a travel advisory in Mexico. After calling and calling, we managed to receive 2 one way travel credits for Air Canada, the wait time was excruciating but the customer service representative resolved our issue so this part was not an awful experience.

We attempted to use the travel credit for Air Canada flights within Canada and were told the flights must depart from the same location as the original ticket therefore only 1 of 2 travel credit was usable. This was not communicated to us when we were issued the travel credit and it is an unreasonable requirement.

We were initially informed to call back in 24-48 hours because the case will be updated by that time. It was not.
Not in 24 hours. Not in 48 hours. When I called after a week, I was informed these cases take up to 21 business days.
After 3 weeks, I called again. Nothing.
So I tried Air Canada, asked about their policy regarding location and was told different departure cities is not a thing! So I called Priceline to try to book and was on the phone for 2 hours and was still not able to use all the travel credits. They are not willing to work with you, and it is appalling how bad the customer service is.

Cannot be trusted

Had to cancel hotel reservation because of health emergency. Hotel agreed to refund payment but Priceline refused, repeatedly falsely stating the hotel’s position and lying about contacting them.
Do NOT do business with Priceline as they are not reputable and treat customers terribly!!

WARNING Avoid Priceline and Nu Car Rental

WARNING: Avoid Priceline and NU Car Rentals — My Experience Was Extremely Disappointing

I am sharing this so others do not make the same mistake I did. I rented a car through Priceline thinking I was getting a good deal, but what appeared to be a reasonable rental price turned into a final cost that was nearly three times the original amount after NU Car Rental added unexpected fees and charges.

The price shown through Priceline was misleading because it did not reflect the true cost of the rental. I believed I was booking a rental at one price, only to discover at the end that the actual cost was completely different due to additional charges that were not clear upfront.

The worst part was the issue with the prepaid gas. I specifically called NU Car Rental before returning the vehicle to confirm whether I should fill the tank because I had already paid for gas. I followed the instructions, filled the vehicle, and returned it — yet I was still charged for gas. I contacted them to have the incorrect charge removed, and they refused.

This experience felt like a bait-and-switch. I thought I was saving money by booking through Priceline instead of directly with a major rental company like Budget or Hertz, but the opposite happened. The “deal” was not a deal at all.

My recommendation: Do your research and avoid both Priceline and NU Car Rental. Go directly through a reputable rental company where the pricing and fees are clear upfront. Saving a few dollars at booking is not worth the frustration, unexpected charges, and lack of customer service afterward.

I will never use either company again.

Overcharged, impossible to get in touch with customer service - AVOID

I booked 2 stays through this service for my family. I used Priceline a decade ago and was happy with them, so now I chose them over booking or other competitors - what a mistake. In both hotels at different times and bookings, I ran into same problem - bookings were done for 1 person per room instead for 2, so hotel made me pay the difference, making the cost of stay significantly higher compared to other providers.
On return, I tried to notify them about error on their site, yet there is none - online talk is AI - directing you to form, that is not working. Then their help - ai assistant is suggesting to call (unable to get a reply) or sending an email reply to booking confirmation (comes back as undelivered). So it is impossible to notify them about error, let alone get any refund.
What if there was a problem with stay? With such service and help - I can only say, keep away from Priceline!

I booked a hotel through Priceline for…

I booked a hotel through Priceline for tonight, but somehow the checkout date was changed during the booking process. When I contacted customer service, I was told they couldn’t correct the dates, issue a refund, or make any adjustments.

It’s frustrating because mistakes happen, and not everyone has money to throw away. Many people are working hard just to make ends meet, and customer service should reflect some level of understanding and flexibility when genuine errors occur.

A little compassion and reasonable solutions would go a long way. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience with Priceline.

Priceline Chose Its Partner Over Its Customer

I was a loyal Priceline customer for 13 years and generally had positive experiences until this incident.

I booked a rental car through Priceline, but at pickup Routes Car Rental informed me that I had to purchase their CDW despite already having coverage through my personal auto insurance and credit card benefits. The result was that my final rental cost was more than double the price quoted through Priceline.

The most disappointing part was not the overcharge—it was Priceline's response. Despite the well-documented pattern of complaints involving misleading pricing, unexpected charges, and poor customer service, Priceline simply accepted its partner's explanation instead of conducting a meaningful investigation. After more than a month of emails, including my challenge that they were requesting information already contained in the existing email thread, Priceline simply stopped responding.

After 13 years as a customer, I can no longer recommend Priceline and will be taking my business to another travel platform.

The employee on night shift took it…

The employee on night shift took it upon herself to call the cops when she was clearly told not to. Our guest who's name the room was in his key was not working to the room. He explain that to her and she gave him a difficult time trying to enter into the hotel room when the room was in his name. I spoke to her on the phone she ask me did i want her to call the cops' I clearly told her no and she did it anyway. There was disturbance or other guest being disturb. We contacted corporate and they didn't do their investigations properly . Their employee lied and said i requested the cops. i never did there was no need to. Beware of staying here make sure you keep your room keys on you at all times and id or else you will catch hell getting access back into your room even if you can show proof with the receipt that the room was paid for and whos' name it is in.

WARNING: DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. You will come to regret it.

WARNING: DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. You will come to regret it. They are literally complete criminals - who steal your money & waste your time. For over 2 months now, company has stolen an enormous amount of money from me - despite a full refund being promised. Priceline 'claim' their systems say the refund was sent back in April; however, my bank statements prove otherwise. Despite having submitted these several times, as requested by Priceline, they still refuse to pay money back & engage in sick, disgusting, psychological abuse. I am a highly vulnerable person with severe health issues, currently facing severe financial difficulties, homelessness, starvation & suicide. Whilst I have reported this to Priceline & offered to evidence, they STILL will not pay me my money back. These abusers know EXACTLY what they are doing - as other reviews document clearly. I have now been forced to seek out the services of a legal representative to deal with these scammers - as well as all relevant law enforcement authorities. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY, under ANY circumstances. That you will regret it, is guaranteed. Proper scumbags abusers.

Website is VERY deceptive with pricing - all is USD

Website is VERY deceptive with pricing. Even when booking by selecting the Canada flag, in French, for flights within Canada, any intelligent person would believe prices will be in Canadian $. BUT, in tiny small print at the very bottom of confirmation, which was not received, is does say in USD dollars. One almost needs a magnifier to see this and it does not state elsewhere on website.

So flight is way more than booking direct with the airlines!

BE aware....we also had problems with Booking.com for a hotel refund, and this took about 3 hours to rectify. We will never use them again! 3 strikes and you're out!

Priceline and booking.com are just awful

They make the reservations but if something goes wrong with the reservations and you need help then they give you the run around. They take reservations just fine but are reluctant to help in changing or helping with other aspects of the reservation.

I had a flight delayed over 4 hours and this was subject to a refund under the regulations but they would not provide one and noted that airline needed to help meanwhile the airline noted that the travel agent like priceline and booking.com needed to help.

Priceline reserved a rental car for me…

Priceline reserved a rental car for me with Fox rental car and when I arrived at the airport they couldn’t find my reservation. Someone had lost it , I had a reservation but Fox couldn’t find it so , Fox didn’t have any available cars so I ended up paying 4 times as much with a different car rental company. When I reached out to Priceline a few days later they were rude and said because I didn’t prepay there wasn’t anything they could do to compensate me . Warning do not make reservations with Priceline they are worthless.

I would leave zero stars if I could

I would leave zero stars if I could. I ordered a rental car thru them yesterday. I get to the air port this morning and National refused to release me the car. Telling me that Priceline is a third party seller and that anything you buy off them is essentially invalid and you’re gonna need to pay for the money down a second time for the car and get insurance again. Then when you call Priceline you get someone from another country who doesn’t speak English try and tell you they can’t refund you even thought you received no service or goods from them.

I’ve learned it’s a hassle to get the car from the airport DONT ever use Priceline or any other company like it

Priceline is a despicable company

Priceline is a despicable company. A flight was booked for a minor of 17, according to the airline (breeze airways) she couldn’t fly unaccompanied if the flight had a connection, but if she had a nonstop flight she could. So we found a flight on Priceline from Tampa FL to Rochester NY that said nonstop. All through the week we continued to get updates from Priceline on her flight and even on the day of the flight they sent us her ticket number and gate number. We get to the airport and Breeze can’t check her in, we find out that Breeze airways canceled her flight earlier in the week because the flight did have a stop, although the passengers traveling to Rochester wouldn’t depart the plane it was still classed as a connection by Breeze airways. So we called Priceline, they were still fighting with the airline over the phone that her flight still existed. So after hanging up on Priceline, I was told that she could either fly with an airline that accepted minors or escort her myself. So, not able to find a flight so last minute. I had to rebook with me accompanying her to NY, sleep in the airport and fly back to Tampa the next morning. I gave Priceline everything that they would need to refund what I lost because of this mess and they basically told me it wasn’t their problem. It’s disgusting that they would do this when it was clearly their screw up. If they hadn’t continued to send us updates on her supposed flight right up to the day of, we might have been able to find her a flight in time with another airline. Instead I’m out over $890 and they refused to fix the problem

Surprise deal surprise

We rented a car using the surprise option and about a month before our trip I realized they had shorted us a day inthe quote so I had to add an additional day which cost $185 dollars instead of $50. I tried to contact Priceline but they are unreachable and Do not return phone calls. Budget was fine but couldn’t help us until
Our pick up day so we were left holding the bag for another $185.

Customer service is horrible

Customer service is horrible. I stayed at a hotel and had tons of body fluid all over the bed once my son showed me I wanted a complete refund and to go somewhere else they kept one day worth of money wasn’t even worth anything and I feel priced line should back them up and give me a refund due to the disgustingness of the hotel. If they’re standing up for them, they should be honoring a refund. Econ Lodge at Six Flags in Georgia the worst I wish

Priceline did not deliver on booking or resolution

Booked a car rental via Priceline. Car rental facility did not deliver and was refusing refund (offered a sub-compact car only, when I booked a medium size car 24hrs' earlier); Priceline did nothing to help my family of 5 who had already waited in line for 2.5hrs .. only asked us to continue waiting until they could contact the facility. Priceline never returned the call or responded to dispute (posting this a week after the incident!). My agreement and payment, technically, was via Priceline. Although I dealt with the rental facility directly (with no results), I feel that Priceline holds the responsibility of ensuring I get what I paid for. Priceline also did not deliver on the booked item and/or the resolution. Noteworthy that we were out of country and with no other recourse.
