Whoever the company used to deliver my package delivered to the wrong place

I’ve ordered from Pretavoir before so I knew I’d be getting a good service. Treated myself to prescription sunglasses, designer frames at a great price, although delivery wasn’t the quickest, I knew they’d be worth waiting for. Love them!!

I have now been waiting 23 days for my sunglasses, which cost £240 and they are still stuck in customs in Dubai. I have received very limited responses and nobody has been able to provide a satisfactory resolution despite trying to contact the company by phone and live chat.

I requested a refund, but this has been refused, with the company stating that the customs delay is my responsibility. However, as the retailer, I understand that consumer protection laws can place responsibility for delivery on the seller until the goods reach the customer.

I am left without my sunglasses, £240 out of pocket and extremely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled. I would expect a company to take responsibility for resolving delivery issues and to provide a fair solution, rather than leaving the customer to deal with the consequences.

I hope the company reconsiders its position and processes my full refund. This has been a very frustrating experience and the lack of communication has only made matters worse.

I had used Pretavoir first in 2021 when first arriving in the UK. Found the quality of their products great value for money at exceptional quality. Earlier this month, I made another purchase and they absolutely blew my mind with not only the product quality and value for money, but exceptional after sales service when I discovered that I had mistakenly ordered a permanent tint instead of transitional. Martin and his team were gracious enough to allow me to return these and process the transitional glasses at no extra charge.
And true to their reputation, delivered an exceptional product! Customer for life here!

Great frames at a discounted rate, delivery could be better. Next day delivery but took 6 days.

I experienced an issue with my Ray-Ban sunglasses, but Nicole promptly assisted me by submitting a warranty claim and arranging for a replacement pair. I ordered Oakley Radar sunglasses, but unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The first pair arrived with scratched lenses, so I returned them and they sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the second pair was also defective.

These sunglasses are supposed to have shading around the edges of the lenses, but on the pair I received, the coating is distributed very unevenly. The result looks completely different from how the lenses are supposed to look and, in my opinion, clearly appears to be a manufacturing defect.

What makes the experience even worse is the customer support. They take two or three days to reply to each message, which has made the whole process unnecessarily frustrating and time-consuming.

I have already spent far too much time dealing with this issue. I expected a genuine, properly finished pair of Oakley sunglasses, not defective products twice in a row. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
