wow, just wow what a fantastic team

last week I made a huge error with my powrtouch motor mover remote control, ive just changed my caravan to a different model and I have always had the powrtouch auto engage on all my previous vans, this time tho the powrtouch motor mover that was fitted to my latest van is manual engage. my van has been sat doin nothing for about 5 months over winter and last week I got it ready to go away for a few days, however the mistake I made was embarrassing because im pressing the buttons on the remote to make the mover auto engage ( as i have kinda gotten used to over the last 10 yrs or more )
well it wouldn't work, I spent ages trying to figure stuff out, even Google stuff and followed the reset/pairing instructions, still nothing worked, it wasn't until I decided to take a look at the motor movers then bingo! im crouched down looking at the manual engage mechanism, feeling like a huge idiot I manually engaged the movers and the caravan would only moves forward and backwards, I decided to call the company powrtouch/trauma in foston/ derby and they could not have been more helpful, I was told that I had inadvertently put the remote into a different programme by trying to get it to do something that its not programmed for.
so a drive down to powrtouch this morning, remote in hand to get it sorted, the huge complex they have is very modern looking and asni arrived I was greeted by a young lady ( powrtouch were expecting me to arrive as I had booked a visit prior to driving there ) i didn't get her name but she was very very professional and after a brief chat she took my remote into the tech team, WOW WOW AND DOUBLE WOW, I didn't even have time to sit down and get comfy when the same young lady appeared again and said " all done" as she handed me my remote back, it was explained to me it had been reset/ reprogrammed and she had tested it to make sure it worked as it should, and get this bit, ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE, yes a completely free repair, that is something nowadays thats rarer than hens teeth. I would like to say a huge thankyou to all involved at powrtouch from the initial phone call to the very nice welcome at their premises and all the team at powrtouch in derby, everybody has made my week let alone made my day, Thank you powrtouch from the bottom of my heart, you are all diamonds. im so glad its fixed and rest assured my next caravan will also have a powrtouch motor mover.
A 1 hr drive home and all is good, i can now move my caravan in any direction I need, many many thanks again to all at powrtouch.

Brilliant old girl

Got a real old powertouch motor mover that you have to put on the wheels manually both sides it does not do both sides at once this has never let me down been brilliant only just replaced grit rollers it's still going strong it's brilliant and you will not go wrong with a powertouch mover

motor mover issue

We had an issue with a motor mover on our brand new caravan. Initially it was disputed that it was covered by the warranty but after some discussion they agreed to send out an engineer to do the very minor rectification.
Special mention to Andy in customer service and to Jeff the mobile engineer who fixed the fault lying on the ground in torrential rain.

Exceptional Service

A big thank you to Carole in sales. Her customer service was exceptional as she talked me through my options for repairing my motor mover. I ordered the parts required and they were sent to the caravan site I was staying on. The parts arrived the following day around 2pm.
Job done, mover working, a huge thanks to Carole for her help.

For once it's nice to praise a company

For once it's nice to praise a company. I've got a crack in the case of one of my Powrtouch movers. I emailed them for a price to replace and they've put 2 in the post foc. I know they have 5 year warranty but most companies would have said it's accidental damage so not covered.

Brilliant company!

Brilliant company! 5 stars to Powrtouch who sent out an engineer to repair my 4 year old Freedom motor mover very quickly. The faulty part was replaced under warranty with absolutely no quibble! Alan Berry the engineer was brilliant, his experience and knowledge of motor movers was fantastic, because of this experience I won’t hesitate to have my next caravan fitted with a Powrtouch mover. A big thank you to all involved. 🙏

I contacted power touch after having a problem with my motor mover first time out this season. I was answered by quickly by tech support and Joanne I think that was her name ?? Was so so helpful.
It turns out it was low battery that gave me this problem.
So pleased to get great tech help by phone. I am so please with this company.
Thank you. So many companies don’t supply any support and then by e mail 2 days later. So pleased in my moment of need. Well trained staff who really knew their stuff.

Horrendous

Just spoke with andy from technical.
spoke to me like i was dirt on his shoe. i was asking if someone could come and repair my motor mover, the company i use for servicing are unable to repair it , it is very clear this company has no intention of repairing movers.

Excellent customer service

Excellent, helpful & friendly service from the technical department. Having spent 18 months trying to get my motor mover fixed at a local caravan repair centre to no avail, phoned Powrtouch myself who over a two day period, with several calls (from them) managed to talk me through fixing the mover myself. Cannot fault them & I am truly grateful

What a disappointment

What a disappointment. Had nothing but bother with my powertouch quad movers not long after 6 months old 2022.

Replaced one cpu after our year away. Still stalling and slipping on our 4 month trip this year.

Engineer comes out said it was most likely my battery. Fair enough our battery did pack in (2 year old) and was replaced with a 95 ah Newmax. This was all I could get at short notice.

However these issues had started way before we had any battery issues.

The alignment was well out so adjusted which took him a while.

Now this was in August.

Only today 9th Dec l have been sent an invoice for £80

Nothing to do with our movers so unfortunately you need to pay.

I have never had any confidence in powertouch movers since 2022 and this now confirms they are nowhere near as good as they were previously.

Poor customer service and staff who are uninterested

I can only repeat other recent reviews in that customer service is non existent. Promises to get engineer to visit despite one of their preferred dealers reporting what the issue is. Seems they don’t trust their dealers but expect them to sell their products. They certainly don’t have an extensive network of engineers as their website states. I will update my experience once an engineer has been.

Best company I've ever dealt with!!!

So many companies should look toward powrtouch when organising their own customer service department development, the level of service and professionalism is in my opinion powrtouch's crowning glory it is impossible to speak highly enough of the staff and systems in place. Best company I have ever dealt with!!!

Very disappointed 🤦‍♂️

Very disappointed with our auto-engage motor mover. Only had it 26 months and countless issues ranging from 'interference' from Ring Door Bells (??? Their reason not mine!), uneven drive 🤦‍♂️ and 'faulty' circuit board, which was replaced with the first issue. We're now on site and the offside motor has ceased to work completely. Result? We won't be able to get it back onto the drive where we store without several people taking the weight and 'hoping for the best' 🤦‍♂️ Would I have another Powrtouch? Definitely not 😡😡😡
UPDATE: After speaking to a very helpful technician (Phil) who told me to ring back if I had further issues, I then hit a brick wall with a very unhelpful lady on the phones, who refused to put me through and said it will take "WEEKS" if I'm not prepared to dismantle the main control box and send it in (To confirm a) what the dealer has already confirmed and b) what Phil stated if his 'fix' didn't work). Given the fact I have a disability and reconnection will be difficult with 10 wires (Unhelpful lady's instruction) to reconnect in the right order) a technician is required. Looking at these reviews and the "WEEKS" delay, it looks like Powrtouch products are no longer as good as they were. And as for the "No quibble guarantee", that's long gone 😡

Really appreciate the powrtouch mover…

Really appreciate the powrtouch mover on my compass caravan. It’s working perfectly though the plastic guard broke off yesterday. I called customer service and they were really helpful in solving this and have sent out a replacement today. I can’t fault the customer service👍- friendly, efficient and listened carefully to resolve my problem. Five stars for five star service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dont buy powertouch. Impossible to get them fixed!

We had Powertouch motor movers fitted by a local Caravan engineer in November 2011 as he told us they were good quality and had a 5 year warranty. All was well until we started having an issue in November 2023. We called powerouch and paid for an engineer to visit and have been waiting more than 3 months and still no visit! Each time we call we are fobbed off and told an engineer will call and they never do. No one at powertouch seems to check whether an engineer has called or visited and they always seem surprised when we say no one has called! totally useless. Completely dreadful service. Whats the point in offering a 5 year warranty is powertouch dont have enough engineers to fix their product? I would never buy powertouch again.

Very good customer service

Had a problem with my motor mover, fitted to a new caravan by the caravan dealer.
Rang Powertouch and spoke to Rob who asked me to do a few checks, he then arranged for an engineer to come to site to sort it out. Very poor installation by caravan dealer. Loose connections, very untidy.
Rob kept in touch with me and checked that I had happy.
I wish all companies I dealt with were as good on customer satisfaction, especially my caravan dealer.
