Put staff on tills instead of self-service

I visited Poundland at West croft Milton Keynes.
They have a couple of self service tills for credit cards and on for cash.
Everyone was queuing for cash and one of the credit card tills said to call for a member of staff.
The member of staff at the tills served the person in front of me.
In the meantime the customer on the cash till had a message to call a member of staff.
I went to the till but was told I would have to pay at the self service tills.
I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

I was in Poundland

I was in Poundland, I go in once a month to spend up to a tenner. You can still get some good items at reasonable prices but at the self service machines a bit of a queue had formed. All five machines accepted cards but only two would also accept cash. The lady member of staff would call out and say that a machine for card payments was available but we all stood motionless waiting for one of the two cash taking machines to become available.
Maybe Poundland should make all the machines take cash.

Poundland Clacton on Sea

Poundland Clacton on Sea - The lady on the till on a Friday and Saturday is such a lovely woman, she always smiles, she always acknowledges customers with hello, and asks how I am, I enjoy going into this store because its so nice to see somebody who is so cheerful. Nothing is ever a problem or to much for her. I don't know her name, but she deserves being told she does a fantastic job.

Poor service

Earlier this year our Poundland in Swindon moved into the old Wilko store, which is much bigger (it's too big) and now you are forced to use self-service.
Won't be shopping with anyone who forces customers to use self-service

NOT HAPPY

Ive been happy for years with 'Poundland'..first there's no fresh food at all 'at the moment'
Secondly..I purchased a few days ago cig papers. tips and lighters as normal..
the lighters are really INFERIOR..they come in a pack of four.
Tried one today..so extra slim they are a HAZARD..their hard at the best of times to press to light..but these are prone to INJURY..your thumb is so close to the flame, liable to get BURNT and when you release they PINCH your skin ( due to the metal support is tight to the press button) which is painful..so a double hazard..they should be TAKEN OFF THE SHELF and BANNED..shop in Torquay.

Lack of compassion

Complained to the manager about an animal welfare concern within the store premises, stated laws against harming wildlife when there are alternatives to remove birds from the store - such as the wildlife rescue that had arrived on site. Instead they chose to shoot the bird, the pest control company showed more empathy than the staff and injured the bird rather than killing it so that it could be rehabilitated. The manager gave an appalling excuse for an apology and then deleted the reviews made on Google. I emailed back once again to reiterate what was stated in the original email and she has since ignored. Not nice people, would not want to give my money to them.

Unfortunately I had a young man that I…

Unfortunately I had a young man that I have had a bad experience with before and wrote a review about him he works in the Canterbury store
His name is Kyle
I let that go last time and didn’t complain to manager but today I did speak to manager as I was fed up with his attitude which stinks
My husband and I were shopping in there then at the till my husband put the stuff from basket on the desk I still had 2 items in my hand one which was clothing that I didn’t want to put on desk so I tried to hand him one of items on numerous occasions but he completely ignored me and just kept giving me dirty looks after he had cleared the items on desk I tried again to hand him one of items in my hand he abruptly and aggressively said you can put them down I asked him not to be so rude with that I handed the items to my husband and told my husband that I couldn’t speak to Kyle anymore then promptly walked out
But as this is the second time I’ve had to put up with rudeness from this lad I was not prepared to let it go this time so I spoke to manager and explained about both my visits and how unhappy I was with the service from this imbecile
She assured me she will be pulling him up on this and apologised to me and said this is not the first time someone has complained about him
But without a doubt he is the worst store assistant ever I have never had to complain about anyone in a shop in all my life and I’m 67 now
He certainly has a attitude problem and like I told the manager it’s like he doesn’t want to be here

Really disgusted with the staff at this store, gave rescuers just 10 minutes to save a bird or would kill it! Luckily the rescuers were amazing and managed to catch the poor bird in time. It says alot about the staff in poundhshop, disgusting!!

Poundland Crayford hold your heads in…

Poundland Crayford hold your heads in shame. Refusing to allow rescuers sufficient time to catch a helpless, lost bird and instead hiding behind window covers and insisting pest control shoot to kill. You really do need serious training in the law on wildlife and keeping customers confident in your staff.
