Unprofessional conduct, questionable marketing and the risk of losing access to a paid subscription
I would strongly advise anyone considering PokeToolz to think carefully before handing over their money.
My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, both in terms of the software itself and, more importantly, how paying customers are treated.
Firstly, I find their marketing questionable. PokeToolz frequently highlights successful checkouts, giving the impression that its software consistently delivers results. What isn't nearly as visible are the unsuccessful attempts and customers who don't secure anything. The Pokémon market is incredibly competitive, and while nobody should expect guaranteed success, I believe their marketing paints a much more positive picture than the reality.
The software itself also failed to meet my expectations. When you're paying a recurring subscription, you expect reliable functionality and a genuine advantage over free alternatives. I personally struggled to see sufficient value to justify the cost.
However, the most unacceptable part of my experience was how my subscription and money were handled.
I woke up one morning to discover I had been banned from the PokeToolz Discord server without warning, explanation or any indication that I had violated their rules. I wasn't even active in the Discord.
The problem? I was still a paying subscriber, and my subscription was neither cancelled nor refunded.
Fortunately, I was a few months into a monthly subscription rather than committing to an annual plan. Nevertheless, my access was revoked before my subscription expired. Premium Discord access and associated features are advertised as part of the subscription, meaning I was prevented from accessing services I had already paid for.
This isn't simply about being removed from a Discord community. This is a business accepting payment for a service and then removing access during the paid subscription period, without addressing the unused portion.
I find that completely unacceptable.
What concerns me further is the apparent attitude towards criticism that I have seen shared online. Any company charging customers for a product should be prepared to receive negative feedback and handle disagreements professionally. Customers should not have to worry that expressing dissatisfaction could jeopardize access to something they've already purchased.
In my opinion, the way this situation was handled demonstrates an astonishing lack of professionalism and respect for paying customers.
I reviewed the company's published Terms of Service and could not identify a clear provision explaining why my paid access could be terminated under these circumstances.
Customer support is another serious concern. From my experience, support appears to be handled primarily through their Discord community. Once you're banned, that avenue of communication is effectively removed, making it unnecessarily difficult to seek assistance or resolve subscription issues.
This creates an absurd situation where a paying customer can lose access to both the service and what appears to be its primary support channel, while their subscription remains active.
My biggest warning to prospective customers is simple: you could pay for a subscription and find yourself unable to access it before the period you've purchased has ended.
Customers deserve transparency, reasonable treatment and access to the services they've purchased. If a company decides to terminate a subscription early, I believe providing an explanation and refunding the unused portion should be the bare minimum.
A business offering recurring monthly and annual subscriptions should be held to a considerably higher standard than this.
Between the questionable marketing, disappointing software and handling of my paid subscription, I have absolutely no confidence in PokeToolz.
I would not recommend this service, and I certainly would not trust them with another subscription payment.
Extremely unprofessional, deeply disappointing and an appalling way to treat paying customers.
