Please guys not use them
Please guys not use them. Really really bad experience with their engineering and the customer service. Please don’t waist your money. They changed you without doing anything and ready to fight. It was really scary.
I fell victim to them too
I fell victim to them too, but there is always room to correct instead of big fat lies… awful feelings!
SCAMMERS! BEWARE
Paid almost 300 pounds for their service to fix and repair boiler/shower. The repair was schedueld for a day one week after.
We called them mulitple times on the day they were scheduled to come and were told they will call us back to confirm timing. We never received a call back on the day or the next day. Eventually they stopped taking our calls so we can't even request a refund.
This is definitely a scheme that they are running. They will take your money and never call back.
Plumber didn't know what he was doing.
Plumber arrived with a plunger, tried to unblock the toilet a few times, made a mess in the toilet. Then told us that they require machinery to fix the issue and it will cost £450 extra. Took £95 for "work" and then we had to argue with his handler via phone to get an email copy of receipt.
Went with another plumbing company, who arrived in 30 minutes and fixed the issue for just under £170.
Absolutely backwards business, I really recommend to stay away from them.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. I called them out and they charged £49+ VAT to come and check why my radiators were not heating up. Within the first 5 minutes of the call out the engineer decided I needed a whole new boiler fitted and said the current boiler cannot be repaired . He didn’t even touch the radiators to see if there was any issues with them. They did not resolve anything. The next day I got a valiant specialist engineer to come and look at the boiler, he stated it was in perfect working conditions and that only the radiators needed bleeding, which he fixed and the heating came back on. Plunger just rips off their customers and lies. I should be refunded my money back they are running a fraudery. They should be investigated 😡
Scammers
Day 1: no engineer turned up and made me wait the whole day "appointment was made 4days before"
Day 2: engineer was 1hr 30min late, came in starts pushing the ignition switch "which i have made many attempts myself" turns around and tells me the boiler is old can't be fixed made no other attempts and charges £114, given no paper work etc and left
Cant give a low enough rating, don't use
Cant give a low enough rating. I wish like other folks on this site I had read their reviews first THEY ARE A SCAM ...DO NOT EMPLOY THEM They cheat, promise to do a job , take your money and run. you never get any paperwork from them.
Do not use
Wish I could give 0 stars , paid a deposit for someone to come out , been waiting nearly a month & no follow up or call back despite being told someone will come out
Worst company to call out for any…
Worst company to call out for any plumbing issue.
Called the company as I had a kitchen sink blocked. They gave me a good rate for unblocking service was £89+ VAT but I denied to go ahead as I wanted to shop around and the lady reduced it to £79+VAT, so I thought good then Go ahead. Two ENGINEERS came and tried with plunger and advice as they need to clean the pipe with a machine which will cost Whopping £450+VAT. 5 times more then initially expected to spend.
If I Dont want to go ahead then also I had to pay £79+ VAT for trying plunger to unblock sink🤦🏻♂️. After little bit argument they agreed to do for £350+VAT and the job was completed in 15 minutes with wired auger machine.
Complete rip-off with pricing and hidden costs, they don’t tell the hidden cost and they will lure you with cheaper charge initially to get engineers in to inspect and increase the cost for fixing by saying that it needs more things to fix.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Shop around.
Ask for no fix no fee
Ask to explain what will cover in he cost.
Awful company
I called this company as there was set price of £49
When plumber arrived they called me there was lots of gunge in the boiler and would cost £300 to repair
I stupidly agreed
Even worse I asked for gas safe certificate
Despite many calls to chase my invoice and gas safe certificate to date I have not received documentation so I will have to get another one done
I was reassured by a guy called Scott who took my e mail several times and then never sent anything!
Do not use these sharks!
Like others I wish I had read the terrible reviews first

I wish I had seen these reviews before calling plunger. I had no hot water and was glad to find same day service.
Plunger arrived 6hours late following my multiple calls.
After examining the boiler in less than 20mins I was told they need to change the heat extinguisher and was quoted a different price from what was originally agreed.
They requested a 50% deposit which I advise I would like to pay by card, but the engineer insisted on cash payment.
I had to give them all the cash I had at home which was not up to the 50% payment.
They then took my bank details and advise they would get the balance of the 50% deposit and return 9am on 20/2/23 to get the job done.
When the engineer left the whole scene doesn't feel right and I went online to make my research and my concerns were confirmed.
I have been scammed!!!!!!
Up to date I have not received any call from Plunger. They took my money and left me with no hot water.
I am not sure why such company are allowed to operate.
YOU MUST SERIOUSLY AVOID THESE SHARKS.
YOU MUST SERIOUSLY AVOID THESE SHARKS.
They sent a guy down; he quoted me double the cost for a simple job. Asked for breakdown & he quoted me over £200 for a v cheap bit of kit. Told him to leave and got someone else to do the job (for half the price). Everything works fine now.
WHEN HE TURNED UP, 2 WIRES HAD BEEN CUT - THE GUY SABOTAGED MY BOILER.
I complained and the guy said he will investigate. He then made excuse after excuse after excuse (all different excuses). Eventually pinned him down and although he initially offered comp, he told me 'to go f*** myself!' - very professional. I asked what his investigation comprised of and he asked the plumber, 'did you cut the wires?'. The plumber said, 'no'. End of investigation.
These guys are the worst plumbers I have ever come across - total sharks - read the other reviews....
DO NOT USE PLUNGER
DO NOT USE PLUNGER - IT IS A SCAM
Cant believe I was stupid enough to not read the reviews before ringing them for some work on our boiler, however I have a young baby and am time stretched and of course multi-tasking, I wanted to get our heating fixed quickly and called quickly. Mistake - exactly the kind of situation they are preying on.
The 'call centre' staff SCOTT and SYLVIE are incredibly professional sounding and the Scottish accent definitely helps them to come across this way seeing as a lot of call centres are based in Scotland, but IT IS A SCAM.
After selling us a new thermostat for £250, they have never returned with the item to fit it despite keeping on saying they are coming. They said they've given us a refund but I highly doubt they actually have reading other reviews on here.
We will be reporting them to the police and watch dog so hopefully they will get shut down.

DO NOT USE THIS CAMPANY😡
I called the campany really early in the morning they said the engineer will attend from 10am to 12pm after 12 the office was saying that the engineer will come in a few minutes waited till 2pm I called again the office said the engineer is on his way but no one turned up they are scum DO NOT USE THESE UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. WASTED ALL MY DAY NO ONE TURNED UP. VERY VERY BAD😠
10 hours late!! Wish I’d done my research!
We called a few plumbing companies after our hot water became intermittent and unfortunately we found ‘Plunger’ and went for it. Next day appointment 9.am. Hooray!
Long story short, the engineer and his lad were 10 hours late (wish I’d cancelled) I called the office 10 times and was told “ he was just minutes away” (again…wish I’d cancelled). In the end we had to pay the guy £100 cash to tell me what I already knew. He couldn’t fix the problem, unless we paid another £600…but we didn’t agree to it…phew! Thankfully a lovely Worcs/Bosch guy came 2 days later and sorted the problem for less than half. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
Rip off merchants
OK plumber arrived on time looked at my boiler and told me straight away the heat exchange unit was cracked and the bill would be £790.Glad i told him I would think about it. Local Corgi registered plumber came following day and emptied the reservoir that was full of muck. Took him 30 minutes and he charged £50
Overcharged for mediocre work
Our heating stopped working, we contacted a company found online on "02080237198" who sounded professional enough and said they could send someone over on the same day.
Someone came (I forgot to ask to see documents/ID) and looked quickly at the system and said I needed to replace 2 parts (port valves), and an optional third part (magnetic filter) was required to prevent the issue from coming back. I was asked to pay a 50% deposit (sounds fair enough). He was on-site for about 20 minutes, and he said the work would require significant labour and draining of the system.
Someone came the next working day (again I didn't think to ask ID) to do the work. During the work, he was taking photos of the parts and sending them to someone and talking on the phone asking for help/guidance from someone (I was previously led to believe this was a simple setup/problem and solution). After fitting the parts, the system started up but kept shutting off, he poked at the pump attached to the boiler (not part of the system he had touched so far) and things got moving. He then left, he had been on-site for under 2 hours.
The system stopped working again an hour after, we called the office number we had before who told us "someone will call us back in a few minutes", a replacement plumber came the next day and rectified the issue. On-site for under an hour.
The first invoice was from "plunger".
The second invoice was from "plumbforcedirect".
Both times I was asked to speak with Scott, who was well-spoken and professional sounding and took the payment.
In all, they charged us over £1,000 to replace two components which turned out to cost £75 each and one component which costs £30.
KEEP WELL AWAY from these people
KEEP WELL AWAY from these people.
ZERO STARS.
Not only did they bring a totally inappropriate boiler but also flooded the house.
Just had a new boiler fitted by a preputable company (gledhill, I highly recommend)
Their fitter noted that plunger had left the old boiler in a dangerous condition as they left live wires open.
Said lucky whole fuse box didn’t explode.
Had to tell them not to come back as they were incompetent.
Keep well clear of these people.
They are still holding on to the deposit from a CANCER sufferer.
They only care about getting your money.
Scott, Dennis, Marcel are in my opinion total filth.
If they can keep money for no service from a cancer sufferer (which they know) just think how they will treat you.
Utterly despicable.
AVOID THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY
AVOID THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY. Do not believe a word that comes out of Stuart Hall’s mouth. Payment up front. Job done so badly I had to call another company to put it right. Blocked my number. I only gave it one star because there wasn’t a choice of giving none. You should be ashamed of yourself Mr Hall you complete scammer.
Unfortunately I was a victim of this…
Unfortunately I was a victim of this scam like everyone says in their reviews. I wish I would have seen them before I called this company. I am a woman and I was alone in the house when three men came. I felt very uncomfortable and they stood at my door they wouldn't leave until I paid. They did not check or repair the boiler and I had to pay £100 for them to leave my house. Horrifying.
