I had read that this was the perfect software for beginners. I'd made some very basic videos with the old (not the new) Microsoft Movie Maker, and needed something fairly easy but with what I considered basic editing tools. What I do are basically slide shows with lots of text, because the information is dense. In other words, these aren't 30 second TikTok clips, but they're not multi-camera films, either. My movie was about 7 minutes, I think, most of the pictures with text. The Pinnacle way of making titles/text feels VERY cumbersome. I had WAY more problems than anyone should. You won't believe this, but there'd be a difference in 24 pt. text on one slide vs. 24 pt. text on the next slide. This happened no matter if I copied a box to keep everything the same OR if I created new boxes. I fought and fought with this. Sometimes the text boxes wouldn't let me resize or move them. That is just so basic it's not even funny. And, my goodness, on the old Movie Maker I think you could easily position text anywhere on the screen. Maybe it was my computer not having enough memory or something, but the timeline would sometimes do some strange things, like show the pictures in the wrong place. I tried to contact the company about this, but they couldn't give me answers. (And their "tutorial" is laughable.) It should tell you something that there's a video on Youtube how to work around Pinnacle's quirks. Why bother? I could have already had my project finished hours ago...but if I'm having this many problems with just making a slideshow, I don't want to try anything more complicated. Again, maybe it's my computer or something, but I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone wanting to do more than cute little quick clips. Waste of money.

Corel's customer service is horrific. They NEVER answer the phone and their chat help is a joke. No one can do anything but refer to the next level and they never get back in touch with you once you send them what they ask for. I upgraded from 22 to 26 in Pinnacle, began experiencing the same problems in 26 that I experienced in 22. No one has gotten back to help me solve the issue. It is as if they are waiting for my money back guarantee to run out and then they will tell me like they told me when I was having issues with Pinnacle 22 "The program has issues with Windows and I needed to upgrade". If I could give the customer service a zero, I would.

Worst video editing app I have ever used in my life. it's so buggy it's unusable, it crashes frequently, and the user interface is completely unreliable. It will also bog down your PC for no reason whatsoever and does not utilise more than 4 cpu cores. Free video editors are much much better than this one.

Je suis passé de Pinnacle studio 12 ultimate à la version 26,pensant y trouver des améliorations significatives.
Erreur de ma part : Pinnacle 12 est plus simple d'utilisation, effets qui ont été supprimés dans la version 26.
Le plus grave est qu'il n'y a pas de son lors du montage (un bug logiciel semble-t-il).
À ce jour je n'ai aucune réponse pour résoudre ce problème
Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré ce problème ?

Pinnacle studio and I have always had a love-hate relationship, it's buggy but it gets the job done. Well it used to. Today I lost more editing work and on rebooting Pinnacle it wants me to upgrade and I thought... no. They cannot keep asking me to buy the new version when the one I have paid for is so unreliable. I am grumpy.

I am now looking at other options such as resolve for windows and FinalCut for my M1. I would prefer to stay on windows for editing but man this is getting frustrating.

If everything else is as frustrating to use, maybe I'll be back but for now, I am looking for greener pastures.

Absolute rubbish, I'm sick of it, once again I fell for the 'all new and improved' studio 26,... It's just been released a week or so ago and it crashes, crashes, crashes on start up, in middle of editing or when trying to render... All you will get from any form of help or troubleshooting is that you are using corrupted files or your laptop/pc is not good enough... Eh, I call bull pinnacle/avid... I've used da Vinci editing software I've used the famous Adobe premiere Pro editing software and none of them have ever given any trouble, never crashed, I've used different laptops and PC's and only yes ONLY pinnacle bloody studio is the one that always crashes!!!!!

I feel pinnacle/avid should be sued for ripping off people with promises that don't deliver, they've always 'fixed the bugs' as they say every time a new release is made available but no they haven't, they've just pushed out another piece of software crap and con more people out of their hard earned money.

The really annoying thing is that when you have the software running it is the most user friendly video editing software around and I have tried them all, that is what is so damn annoying, if it didn't crash the whole time it would be better than any other video editing software available including the famous Adobe premiere Pro.

So hey pinnacle/avid do me a favour and stop updating this piece of crap software unless you have 100% fixed all bugs that stop the damn thing crashing....and allow a full money back option if we are not satisfied with it.

I want to end this rant now on the fact that in the last 4 days I've bought and paid for the brand new pinnacle studio 26 in hope of someone actually listening to what all the previous complaints have said I am sorely disappointed yet again but even more so, this NEW version is worse than any other version I've had and I've had a few...yes stupid me I know...but seriously this is pure robbery.

End this rip off now and stop make Ng this product!!!!!

Its 2022, no 21:9 aspect ratio support! No custom timeline resolutions or ratios...

I purchased the Ultimate with al the packs
But Exporting DONT WORK at all total useless
I followed all there steps how to fix
but stil don't work

PINNACLE 25 IS HORRIBLE TO EDIT PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, HORRIBLE!
I will search for an easy video editor to work with.
I had Pinnacle from the beginning of Studio and was easy to edit videos I created many videos and was happy with the older Pinnacle editing, but it seems the more technology added, is more difficult to work with, and is a frustrating challenge, I don't want to feel uncomfortable making a simple video. The editing tracks for video and photos are just horrible too much to explain!

This is the worst video editing tool I have ever bought.
I use a GoPro max for 360 video. The edges are blurred, the software is totally user unfriendly. I had previously used a free version of cyberlink which was much easier to use and allows more control of the view when editing.
In short think seriously about this product before you buy it, especially for 360 video

This has to be a scam. I bought Pinnacle Ultimate 25 a few days ago and it won’t even download. So I’ve paid for nothing and spoken to support many times but their ‘specialists’ never get back. I’ll try for a refund from the place I bought it.

Pinnacle 23 is utterly horrible software. Ironically I upgraded from 19 because it was so good. Horrible horrible horrible product. So frustrating. There has to be some legislation preventing a fraudulent product like this in the market. It's like Elizabeth Holmes claiming you can edit videos with this software then you look behind the curtain and realize the program doesn't work. Videos drop out on the timeline and blank video and audio on the export. In other words NOTHING WORKS. It would be more likely you could provide a complete blood test from one drop of blood. Then I call support and they say, "You need to talk to our specialist". As if there was such a thing. There should be laws against this kind of product.

I'll pile on. Was completely frustrated with the product and customer service. Installed OK for me but after launch it displayed the splash screen then the program showed its start up window and immediately crashed to Windows desktop without explanation or error message. IMMEDIATELY

Customer Service was pathetic, asking me to send results of system diagnostics twice, reinstall the application multiple times, install OLD non-OEM graphics drivers and a twelve year old DirectX package.

Pinnacle Studio is so unstable that it continuously crashes and is very unusable, do not waste any resources on it! I have a Master's Degree and have been doing my own videos for many years. Trust me, you will waste your money and lots and lots of time.

I am glad i read these reviews before I wasted my money on Pinnacle Studio. I have tried the trial version on my HP Z800 workstation with 72gb of memory, and it wouldn't even import any video files or even play the demo media.
I installed the trial on my laptop with slightly better results, but it would not import some avi or mpeg files.
I am trying out Corel VideoStudio 2022, and that is far better.

Pinnacle 25 is utterly crap! Its full of so many bugs, crashes all the time. Even the playback stops working. Why did I both, should have stuck to Adobe Premier!

I hope other poeple who are considering purchasing Pinnacle 25 read this review and steer clear, it not worth spend anything on the totally crap software.

I have used Pinnacle Studio for many years and at first I really liked it. After learning how to use it, I've made many great videos. But the last 5 versions have been awful. It is so slow, slow, slow. I've tried to put up with it because I don't want to learn another video editing software, but I have reached my limit. It's just not worth it anymore.

I had to reinstall my PC a few times and now I can't activate Pinnacle Studio anymore because of message that Serial Number was used to many times. I tried to contact Customer Support, but never get an answer. I can throw away this Software now... Would never buy this trash again...

Absolutely awful. The amount of time, which I don't have, trying to navigate around crashes, bugs, that stupid grey screen error AND the rest that doesn't seem to work - is just too much now. I've tried to put up with Pinnacle for years because I didn't want to have to lean new software - but enough is enough. They have a flawed product that they never fix. Good by Pinnacle.
