This is about Picture People in Kassel

This is about Picture People in Kassel, Citypoint. I went back there, because one of their interns took excellent photos of my son some time back.
All I wanted this time were passport photos. Turned up - they can’t do it, because two people were sick that day. Fair enough.
Tried a second time the week after. The reception person says “sure should be fine”. However, the individual tasked with taking photos clearly wanted to take her lunch break or do something else. Sat with her back to me the entire time, did not acknowledge me, said “she” can come back at 3pm (three hours later). Suffice to say, I will never step into that photo studio again, nor should anyone else. It would have taken 15 minutes for her to provide some service. I am German, and am fully aware of the “can’t do” service culture, but actually a lot of businesses do try.
If anyone managing the business is reading this: I went on Friday 27 February, midday. The reception lady with the tattoos is lovely. Sack her manager who was in there at the time.

The Picture People store had disappeared!

Made an appointment online for an 11 o'clock photoshoot at the studio in Amstelveen and confirmed by phone that it was on. On the day of we were on our way already for the appointment and 10 minutes before they called that "the photographer got sick" and the appointment had to be cancelled.
We made a new appointment for a few weeks later (this was mid Nov), which went really nice. Got the 200 euro package with printed booklet. We got a mail that we could pick up the booklet until December 24th. It took us a bit to pick up the booklet, because we're about 40 mins away from Amstelveen, but when I went to pick up the booklet on December 20th there was no more Picture People in the store where we had the photoshoot. There was an entirely different store in the space.

All phone numbers were disconnected (Amstelveen as well as The Hague and Rotterdam) and they're not responding to any mails.

Probably best you don't book an appointment anymore with these people.

Not delivered after 6 months

I’ve had an Iris photoshoot on the 4th of February in Amstelveen Netherlands, where we ordered additional prints. After sending 10+ emails over the course of 5 months (it is currently end of July) I still haven’t received anything. Plus their costumer service doesn’t reply on my emails. Terrible service and still waiting for my prints. Paid +- 200€, which is money down the drain.

Not reliable and terrible service

We made one week in advance an appointment for making passport photographs for our 2 weeks old baby. The appointment was made online on the website of Picture People (location: Alexander, Rotterdam, the Netherlands) and we also contacted the store by phone to be sure the appointment was confirmed (since we didn't want to travel with such a small baby for nothing).
We received a phonecall 3 minutes in advance of our appointment that they did not have printing paper for the pictures. We were already near the store and passed by, but the lady could not help us and was not willing to think on any solution.
We are very disappointed by the lousy and terrible service. We would not recommend to go to this store.

No way to contact them.. closed store during opening hours

I gave this Iris scan a gift to my spouse for his 50th birthday. I tried to call PicturePeople in the mall of the Netherlands for (you won’t believe me) 42 times on 22 different days. Guess what?! They never answered the phone!! Then I tried going to the mall of the Netherlands after trying to get in contact with them for 2 months and there was a sticky note on the closed door saying (I’ll be right back)
No way they show customer service!
Luckily I haven’t prepaid and booked the appointment because otherwise I’m pretty sure that I would never be able to change anything about the appointment if needed.

I gave up today and I’ll let PeoplePicture for what it is… won’t be spending any money to a company that doesn’t take its clients serious!!

I want to express my biggest…

I want to express my biggest disappointment and complain towards your company. I made an appointment with you to make an ID and Passport picture on 1st of May in Leidschendam. On the 31st of May I had an appointment with gemeente to apply for the documents but they rejected my pictures because the system said it is not according to their rules of pictures. I thought you know which format is needed as I specifically applied to receive the pictures for that purpose. I was waiting for this appointment for a month and now I have to wait other two months because gemeente is always busy and I need to prepare other pictures, I wasted so much time on nothing. I would like you to at least return my money for this.

That photo session was a gift for my…

That photo session was a gift for my anniversary from my family. Very sad and disappointing. Photographer was late, unprofessional, unconcerned and indifferent. She had no any intend to help us to get good memories. We berely could choose 3 pictures to print. Still, those three pictures were terrible. Composition and placement are awful! Thanks to PicturePeople I have the memory about my annivesary but bad one.

Stay away!!

This was our second visit at Buy Buy Baby Alpharetta GA @„Picture People“ for a Fotosession in a 1/2 year.
We have booked a Christmas package for 500.- $ including 15 portrait sheets, 30 Christmas cards, 3 framed products and Hi-res CD.
The fotographer said it would be about an hour for our prints and framed products to be ready so we came back to get them. When we arrived, we had to make another appointment and come back a different day as the printer was down. I have to mention, this happened to us for for the second time, had the exactly same problems at our first session.
Two days later they called us to come and pick up the pictures. Every single way is one hour drive for us. So needless to say, no picture for us. The printer has not been fixed yet. One day before Christmas they called us to say that the prints could be ready later that day. Taking in consideration the craziness this time on Christmas we have decided not to drive. We rather stay without pictures.
I called the manager about the terrible experience, who offered 200,- $ cash back on Christmas. Nothing happened until February this year. Having tried to reach him on the phone, the number is no longer available. No response. No payment back.

Terrible experiences time after time

Terrible experiences time after time.

Today was our third time at this particular Picture People and it was somehow, by far, the worst yet. We will not being going back.

Everytime you go it is the same thing. We wait almost 2 hours past our appointment time to be seen. Then you have to deal with the rip off session for 45 minutes after as they try and confuse you into an upsell over and over. They are purposefully unhelpful and obtuse in a way to hopefully get you to just give up and buy whatever they offer you. You are basically being held hostage for 3-4 hours.

The difference this time to last was that at least before we got some really nice pictures out of our sessions (nice enough to go back and deal with the nonsense, maybe) but this time was so awful. We were treated like an inconvenience.

After waiting nearly two hours with a 8 month old and 4 children ages 4-9 (all actually behaved surprisingly well all things considered), The 8 month old needed a quick change (go figure). We were told a few minutes into changing her that we "had two minutes or she is calling it" after only 6 pictures. After we waited 110 minutes for them to get it together we were being threatened...

That and the few other times we came they got a ton of pictures for us and they switched up the backgrounds and asked our opinions on different ones. This time they took 15 pictures in front of an awful background that we didn't pick and then they shoved us off and moved on without even giving us a chance to protest.

We had planned on buying their RIDICULOUSLY priced disk with all the pictures from the session for $99 but with 15 pictures (none of them good), what would be the point? (past sessions had over 50 pictures)

In an age where everyone can take great pictures on their own it is a luxury to get people who want to pay for the professional touch of a studio. This is not the place. These are not real photographers. Most of pictures weren't even framed properly (off centered, not at the correct eye line).

Just plain and simple a nightmare of a day and a waste of time and money.

Direction wasn't provided

As a photographer, you need to provide direction and not just stand there.
Direction wasn't provided and was not happy.
But they are getting 3 stars because the person who was showing us the photos was nice.
