While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Really helpful and quick to get everything processed.
Sharon went through everything clearly and easy to understand.
Hassle free called gave details and sorted next day highly recommend
Quick and efficient claims handling, my 3rd year as a client and I've been happy with my photo guard insurance
They refused a payout on a genuine claim.
An unspecificed item was under the limit. I proved purchased and ownership but the claim was refused and not honoured. I was told my paperwork was in order but claim refused as the item was newer than the policy.
This is a shocking and unenforceable clause that seems to have been added after I signed up, if it was ever there.
The practise is ethically dubious at best. I didn't challnge it fearing I would find a black mark against my name on their internal Insurers databases, and have future policies refused.
EDIT: They're now asking Truspilot to get me to release more personal detail so they can use it as an excuse to take my negative review offline. Be aware, companies are now actively managing their reputation and harassing journalists who are making reviews in good faith. I fully expect them to ask for this negative review to be taken down because it's not 5* and shows them for turning down insured claims for bogus reasons.
2nd EDIT: They replied and you can see what they used to refuse a claim on UNSPECIFIED ITEMS which they they decided was SPECIFIED.
It's a contradictory clause they clearly use to knock back any claim they don't like the look of. Bad faith.
3rd Edit: they're now telling LIES about an item I have full OWNERSHIP of before, during, and after the claim.
Photoguard actively make false accusations against a claimant in public with no supporting evidence. I would suggest NO ONE uses their service as they make defamatory statements against negative reviewers making truthful reviews.
Forty people now have read this, which is lost revenue into thousands of pounds for them.
Would you buy insurance from a company who attacks a Chartered journalist making an honest claim in good faith?

Been with PhotoGuard for many years - never have had the misfortune to make a claim - but well worth the money paid for a solid policy and the peace of mind that comes with it.
Simple, efficient renewal at a fair price. 3rd year and very satisfied with service.
I phoned and had a very helpful member of staff. New policy taken out.
Very polite and identified my requirements with ease and then covered the way the insurance works without being too stressful over the matter. The fact I changed the insurance a few days later didnt seem top bother them as long as I had the cover I required going forward. A+++++
I found them a very easy company to deal with. I was having a lens on trial from Fujifilm and needed to have quick cover. The process was fast, easy and painless and the rates were great. Couldn't better the products or customer service. Would certainly use them again!
No fuss in re upping my account pleasure to deal with
Properly one of the worst photography insurance companies I have ever paid money for.
Took six days to complete the claim. I was asked repeatedly on separate days about the circumstances of the claim. I'd immediately reply to an email and then have to wait 24 hours before I got a reply.

It was a simple operation to renew the insurance of my photography equipment.
