Ordered on the Wednesday before bank holiday - so I paid for express delivery. Turned up the following Wednesday.

Hi David,
We tried to get hold of you numerous times to discuss this and immediately offered you a 100% refund on return of the goods but it looks like you have decided to keep this wine. Ridge Geyserville is a beautiful wine so we can understand why you wished to drink it over the double Bank Holiday weekend. We are really sorry that the 'Delivery Service' aspect of your order didn't meet your expectations, our courier provider doesn't deliver Weekends or Bank Holidays which we thought was communicated clearly on the delivery information page of our website.
Your feedback above is slightly inaccurate especially as you have given us a 1 Star rating we feel we should clarify. We don't offer Express Shipping, the service you selected and paid for, and itemised on your order was Standard Shipping, and your order was made on Thursday at 5.50pm the day before the Easter Double Bank Holiday weekend, and not a Wednesday as you wrote in your review. So pickup was missed for that last working day before the Bank Holiday weekend and wasn't delivered until the following week in line with our standard delivery timings. It's possible the information around Bank Holidays/Weekend delivery timings could have been better so please see the actions we've taken since your Easter Bank Holiday order.
Taking this all onboard we have now added further detail to our dispatch and delivery timings page. Plus we have also added a new shipping option called 'Named day delivery - Saturday' which allows customers purchasing from our online store before 1pm on a Friday the guaranteed (next day) Saturday delivery within UK Mainland. We do urge customers with high urgency requirements to always call our store first and double check. We do ship alot of packages every day so it's rare that we can't meet expeditions or resolve any issues like this when they happen. If you would like to discuss further please do contact the Store Manager at our Battersea Store.
