Is there any point in submitting…

Is there any point in submitting reviews when Trust Pilot removes them because “Perfect Plumbers” claim that they “don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience”! How much proof do they need? I’ve just had a lengthy email correspondence pointing out all the negative reviews etc as, unfortunately, it’s not possible to provide any written proof of a telephone transaction. So apparently my review has been taken down. 😬😬
But, again, for the record, this guy claiming to be a plumber took £400 from my credit card for making a phone call to a plumber in my area, which with hindsight I could have done myself, if I hadn’t been in a state of panic with water pouring through a bedroom ceiling from water tank in the loft.
I understand attempts are being made to have police involved but he is not based at the address he claims to be at….

Next instalment

l am not only complaining about Perfect Plumbers but also Trustpilot. With this huge volume of reviews about the rudeness, the fraudulence and the lies from this company, how is Trustpilot not doing something about this. I wrote to Trustpilot and have never even had an acknowledgement. My experience of Perfect Plumbers happened a year ago on November 5th and I see that the same disgusted reviews of a fraudulent company are coming in all the time. (One question - how does a company with only 1 star on every single review, end up with an average of 1.8??|!) My first review was taken down by Trustpilot because I was unable to provide any verification. This was because they refused to send any invoice or receipt. My second review is below (scroll down) and I don't know how it is still there! A review that repeats everything that everyone else says. Something has got to be done about this company who are robbing people and taking special of advantage of older people. Did anyone ever contact the police?

A social engineering scam. Please report!

My story is the same as everybody's in this thread. However, I used the site 'emergency plumbers UK' which I believe is how this company is fraudulently operating. It was only through the contact number on my invoice (for work not completed) that I tracked it down to this company which as of 2021 was forced to dissolve. This company is operating illegally. If you have had any dealings with them or Emergency Plumbers UK after December 2021, you must contact the citizens advice bureaux to make them aware, and if recent, please contact the scam or fraud team to make them aware.
Hope this helps.

I have been fraudulently charged

I have been fraudulently charged by this company, do NOT USE THEM! I called in advance of the Plumbers attendance to inform them I had just found and stopped the leak. The plumber was informed immediately of this upon his arrival, and he left having carried out no work whatsoever. I have been charged for 1 hours of labour at £200!

I was subcontracted and emergency…

I was subcontracted an emergency callout and I heard what they charge people and that is totally outrageous and also haven't paid me so my advice to anyone is to use Google to search for a local plumber than a call center

Disgusting company

Disgusting company, ripped off my 92 year old friend for an emergency call out at 11pm at night, didn’t turn up, charged her £400 from her card. Rang them, they were not interested, now hoping to claim on Visa!

£400 for no work

The usual story. I panicked when I saw water welling up outside the kitchen window.
After waiting 2 hours for the plumber, he told me it was the water board's responsibility (Which it wasn't) and left.
I asked for a refund as nothing was done and was told "That's how business works"
I will report to the police

A scammer who will charge clients

A scammer who will charge clients extortionate fees and not fulfil the job or pay the plumbers he calls out. He calls himself James and get aggressive after taking clients money.
Have reported to police & trading standards.

Don't bother Reviewing Rogue Companies with this website

I recently wrote a review about a diabolical company PerfectPlumbers, and they had the temerity to challenge it saying it wasn't a genuine experience so Trustpilots integrity department asked me to provide proof that it was by submitting a receipt for the job with the companies name on it.This I was unable to do as they had not done a job for me in the first place but still charged me £400 for turning up anyway for five minutes. As I didn't provide this for Trustpilot, they threatened to take my review off of their site which they did as I was unable to provide something that didn't exist. My advice in light of this after reading all the subsequent reviews of PerfectPlumbers appalling behaviour is to avoid them and also don't bother to take any notice of Trustpilot with regards to who to use and who to avoid when it comes to companies or products and services as they would obviously prefer to believe a serial offender of disgraceful behaviour than someone who has been blatantly ripped off by a load of cowboys who shouldn't be allowed to advertise and have a website that tells people absolute bull about the services that they provide the public.
Trustpilots integrity team wouldn't know the difference between a rogue company and the most upstanding one in the country.

NOT A PERFECT PLUMBERS BUT DISHONEST TRADERS ,-A

I have experienced the same problem with this unscrupulous company. I am elderly person , needed a plumber. Call out charge of £200 was instead £480. After disputing it, they agreed to a refund of £180. I contacted my bank and they are dealing with the unauthorised money taking from my account. They advised me too , to contact Trading Standards. Awful experience!!!!!!!

AVOID!! Fraudulent: SCAM

AVOID!!! Absolute cowboys. Discussed a £200 call out fee plus £200 for the first hour which they insisted was paid upfront. Plumber turned up to the job, and in conversation found out that they do not work for them, in fact all they’ve done is search for a local plumber on Google, paid them their hourly rate which is less than the £200 and they’ve pocketed the rest when they haven’t done anything other than make a phone call.

Called them to dispute, they agreed to refund the call out fee. Still hasn’t happened. Haven’t sent me an invoice. Have also requested £480 from my bank instead of the £400 initially agreed. Apparently this was for VAT (which was undisclosed in ANY previous conversations). Refusing to reply to my email. My bank are aware of the situation, please save yourself the headache and go for someone legitimate. Or…do what they do and source a local plumber on Google!

UPDATE: since leaving this review I’ve had it reported to trust pilot and had to provide evidence that my experience was genuine (hence the VERIFIED) review tag placed by trust pilot. I’ve also had them submit to trust pilot that they believe my review is for another company, I can tell you it’s not. I actually cannot believe they are still in business with how they conduct themselves. Reviews don’t lie perfect plumbers…everyone is saying the SAME THING. You’re preying on vulnerable people in desperate situations. For the love of god people…STOP USING THEM!! Claim chargebacks from your banks, get your evidence from the plumbers that come round and show your banks how misleading their website is.
