Dogs will eat it, but quality is questionable

We’ve used Pedigree dog food in the past, and while our dogs would eat it, I wasn’t impressed with the overall quality compared to other brands. The ingredient list and smell weren’t great, and it didn’t seem to do anything positive for their coats or digestion.

It works in a pinch, but after trying other options, I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy Pedigree again. There are better quality foods available for a similar price.

Pouches of Choice Cuts in Gravy make my pup very happy!

My teacup chihuahua is extremely picky and the pouches of Choice Cuts in Gravy are what he loves. I order boxes from Amazon to save money. He gets two pouches a day and maintains a great weight. (He also gets a few crunchy treats for his teeth health since feeding solely soft food isn’t good for dogs. I wish he liked the Pedigree crunchy dog food but he went on a hunger strike and his ribs started to show, refusing to eat them (he won’t eat Science Diet kibble similarly). I am very happy with the Pedigree pouches as they save me time not needing to measure out the same amount of food for him everyday and it is less messy than using cans of food. I know people gripe about the fact that the company doesn’t offer recyclable packaging but neither does a lot of expensive brands from the pet store and I have tried a number of those too - I know for which I speak.

Pedigree's non recycling policy

Pedigree dentastix, while my dogs seem to enjoy them, I am put off buying more because the bags are non recyclable or Pedigree are adopting a silent approach on the matter. At the very least be transparent.

Terrible customer service

My husband purchased 12 cans of pedigree for our 8year old Labrador 2 months ago
When the 2nd tin was opened it had an awful smell had a green tinge to it and was full of maggots my dog had been poorly the day before so can only assume the first tin had also got some kind of contamination. When I got in touch with mars who own pedigree was told to email which I did with photos I have has 2 reply’s the last one being they say there is no issues at site so can must have been damaged ( which is wasn’t ) and that’s the extent of their reply basically not their fault I am disgusted with their lack of understanding my dog was ill the fact their food was contaminated and their lack of ownership of their responsibilities

I used to buy this dog food but in the…

I used to buy this dog food but in the last couple of weeks they jumped their prices £3 so its now the single most expensive dog foid out there. Subsequently I have now found other dog food which the dog seems very happy with and will not be buying this product from a greedy manufacturer any more.
