Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 583 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about receiving unexpected parking fines despite having paid correctly or having displayed valid badges and permits on their cars. Visitors also experienced frustrating issues with malfunctioning payment terminals, high prices, and unhelpful support teams when trying to resolve unfair penalties. BE VARY AWARE. IMPOSSIBLE TO REASON WITH

I have been around a long time but never realised how unscrupulous and non customer friendly this company was until a recent experience where I urgently needed to deal with a safety critical alert with my car which took precisely 5 minutes to do myself and leave. £60 fee followed. Common sense says find somewhere safe asap. I unwittingly entered a deserted retail park car park late evening to do this. The appeal process is rigged to make it almost impossible to succeed. Reasonable and proportionate is not on their agenda. All my local retail car parks operate a time limit only thus I had no reason to think that Home Bargains in Ashford would any different. Again I was 5 minutes but they make out that if I called my recovery insurance and waited however long that would have been ok. However, I suspect not. All independent legal advice indicates an easy win on the balance of probability in court as they have not even evidenced that i actually parked within the context of the meaning nor viewed the cctv to confirm my actions were as described. They just ask for more evidence which of course only they have. I certainly could not do any shopping so why else would a reasonable person want to stop and park ? However, it is not worth the hassle for me so they WIN. Only one word describes the company UNETHICAL

Very unfair parking experience at…

Very unfair parking experience at Meadow Street Labour Club, Preston

I had a very bad experience with the parking company at Meadow Street Labour Club, Preston. I parked my car there, paid for parking, and still ended up receiving a £60 fine. This is completely unfair.

The payment machine did not print me a ticket after I paid. It seemed like there was no paper in the machine, which makes me believe this is either poor maintenance or done on purpose so drivers are left without proof. If a machine takes payment, it should always issue a ticket properly.

I appealed the charge and clearly explained that I had paid for parking, but my appeal was rejected. Their excuse was that the payment was not enough to cover the full stay, but if the machine does not give a ticket, how is a customer supposed to know exactly what has been recorded or whether there is any issue?

This whole experience felt misleading and unfair. I paid to park at Meadow Street Labour Club, Preston, yet I was still fined and then ignored when I tried to explain the situation. Instead of showing fairness or understanding, they simply rejected the appeal and continued demanding money.

I would warn other drivers to be very careful parking here. Even if you pay, you could still end up with a fine and no proper help from the parking company.

VERY SLOW IN RE PAYING PARKING CHARGE

On the 11/04/2026 I received a parking charge in a Aldi store in the west midlands.I paid £40 and made an Appeal against the charge and my cheque was cashed on 5/5/26. I subsequently received information that I won the Appeal on the 21/5/26 and was told that because Parkingeye were very busy I may not get the return of my £40 within the next 40 days!!!!!.I have not received the money
What a disgrace. This company were quick enough to cash my cheque and no doubt the £40 is earning them interest/or being used to run their business.I am still awaiting my money by 2/7.26.I will be commencing a small claims action in the Counnty Court and would suggest others with a similar problem to do so.

Scam artists

100% Scammers. They need to be looked into and closed down.

I was tricked into a false sense of security to park outside a mcdonalds at 2am in the dark. Directly after the exit of the drive thru are some bays, but the trick is that they secretly belong to parking eye despite looking identical to the parking for mcdonalds. The signs were facing the wrong way so no chance of catching those, and also a minimum parking time of 0 seconds... 0 Seconds. So that would be impossible to even get out of the car to go and read the signs to confirm if you can or not.

They lied about it being clearly visible. If it was then no one would park there knowingly.

Without receiving an initial letter through the door to pay I randomly got one saying I owed £130 out of the blue, absolutely no way of contacting them as they've made that impossible also (they are well aware of what they are doing is wrong).

Scam artists.

Frustrating payment directions!

Received a parking fine letter on the 25th June - yes did overstay by 10 mins so was not going to grumble.
Went to pay online on the 29th June but stated I had to pay the full amount. You can pay half, if within 14 days.
Checked letter date, it was dated 15th June. Ermmm very naughty, but still made it 14 days today.
Called Customer Service to be patronised, I was initially in a good mood, admitted we were guilty but said not happy to pay full amount. They informed me to go online as on back of the letter.
I asked if it was common practice to not get a letter until 10 days later and was informed they are posted the same day and was asked if it wasn't my postal service. It is not by the way. Why do they like to get your back up.
So went on the web as directed, ended up going through the appeal stages, as directed but still could not find how to get it at the reduced rate.
I called Customer Services again and yet again was spoken to like a child 'to follow the letter' which I did whilst they were on the phone this time. And after still being spoken to like a child as in 'I have gone to the website fine' and 'as it is in the letterrrr'.......... I managed to get to the correct place.
Now, what it doesn't tell you is that as you enter your car and appeal number the next page states appeal but if you scroll down, way down, it shows 'pay at reduce cost'.
Human nature to follow the path of 'appeal' as initially directed.
Makes me wonder how many people have paid the extra in frustration. Certainly made me frustrated and angry and totally out of character for me. Not only with the lack of direction but the length of time the letter was sent, the lack of instructions on the back, tone of the voice and comments let alone the way the website is set out for you to fail finding what you need.
Hope this help's someone else before they have to call Parkingeye as it has really been a stressful morning that I will never get back.

My wife and I visited Milton Country…

My wife and I visited Milton Country Park, near Cambridge, where the car park is managed by Parking Eye. My wife has a blue badge and we followed the instructions to the letter and still received notification of a fine. My wife’s car was registered with them from a previous visit, the registration lasts for one year, and received no fine. This time, the visit was within the twelve month period, we did receive a fine but the car was correctly logged in their system. I would suggest that Parking Eye deliberately target blue badge holders as an easy cash cow because many such people are elderly and will succumb to the pressure. My advice is do not visit Milton Country Park, if you do, take a video of yourself registering your car and blue badge.

How do they sleep at night?

The box is asking me how this company can improve its rating. Well, going bust would help immensely. They are a bunch of rip-off merchants who obviously don't deserve even a single star, but it's the only way you can get to vent against them on Trustpilot. The way the so-called appeals are organised, the way they drag their heels over responding, the way they take money from vulnerable people; I could go on for days. And the damage they must be doing to retail! After all, I'm sure the shops in question would rather that fine money was going to them than this lot. Can you imagine the number of people who've been put off shopping at various retail outlets by their treatment? Please don't bother replying, Parkingeye; you are an absolute waste of time.

Another cowboy outfit.

Another cowboy outfit.
I received a parking fine in a car park near a hospital. I paid the £60 fine and have now received another letter for the same parking fine 9 Days later. This was paid by PayPal and I have proof.
Can't phone them and the email address for complaints also isn't working, I wish the places that employ theese companies would check them out thoroughly before letting them take over.

Disgraceful, have you got all day for me to slate this place!

Disgraceful!! There just isn’t enough space to write how appalling this company is! Daylight robbery. Always scamming people out of money! My partner had a a curtesy car therefore did not receive the letters to appeal this now they expect £170 out of nowhere. Even after already paying other fines. You have no way of winning with these people whenever you ring they are helpless and don’t want to hear it… all they want is money! The cost of living at the moment and this company are taking advantage of people.. they need sorting out

Thieves. Watch them steal money from you for parking at 5pm at a supermarket parking space where you have been shopping. Nice one. And thanks Aldi for allowing crooks to work for you. Won’t be Aldi again.
