Excellent caravan.Enjoyed our latest stay at Golden Sands but this one was spoiled by residents of Dawlish Warren taking a short cut through the parkbehind our cararavan bedroom from 5.30am each day... See more

Beautiful location - Great Staff
Beautiful location. The caravan was pristine, with bed sheets and enough bits for the kitchen and bathroom to get your stay started, which, being ours only a long weekend, was more than enough.
Enjoyed the swimming pool very much. There was no extra fee to use it and the booking system made sure that there was not too many people in at once.
Lewis, at reception, was very kind to wait for some of us to check in, as there was an issue at the M5 and we arrived much later than the check in time. He was always very helpful and had a very calming manner, which helped me to relax after a difficult trip to get there.
Steph, at the Chip Shop, was also delightful to deal with, and full of kind gestures.
The location was great; close to many beautiful coast towns.
Which I could go several times a year!

Quality Vacation
The accomodation, price, location and staff were all great.
Second time visit to this site.
Have NOT been disappointed with a Park Holiday and venue to date and I've had a few, (plus booked a few more)!!

The reception staff seemed uninterested during check in
The standard of the caravan has declined greatly compared to our previous visits, we booked a gold standard and it was quite worn.
Maintenance staff speedy and very helpful
Sadly we won't be using Park holidays in future

We absolutely love Carlton Meres it’s our holiday choice we’ve been twice already this year, tranquil surroundings which are amazing for dog walks, caravans are absolutely spotless on arrival fishing lakes are a brilliant bonus
Good but not always quiet
Steeple Bay Holiday Park is a lovely scenic site with friendly staff. It is accessed down a long lane so frequent trips out can be a bit tricky. The site is right on the bay and lovely for walks and
bird watching. However during the stay our break was interrupted by intermittent very loud revving of a motorboat which the man in a nearby caravan was working on. This went on for 3 days and involved a few visitors to his caravan coming to look at the boat. It made reading and relaxing in the caravan very difficult.
I had a week on Harts site at Leysdown
I had a week on Harts site at Leysdown. The caravan was nearly new and spotlessly clean and tidy. The site was kept well, and the staff were helpfull and friendly. The clubhouse is large, and there seemed to be plenty of events, especially for kids.
The site is in a good position, with provisions, pubs and bars, fish & chips, Chinese, Indian etc just outside. The sea is only a five minute walk away. I have booked for next year
Platinum lodge by road to docks and no safety fence
I booked a platinum 2 bed lodge at Suffolk Sands Felixstowe,Suffolk which was great
BUT a serious security issues.
I’d asked for a sea view , told it’s allocated the night before but it was noted as a request and they would note it down on my booking and that’s understandable But when I arrived after paying extra to turn up early by 2 hours was told I’d never have got a sea view as they didn’t do lodges that side of the site!
I then found the lodge with my 2 grandchildren ( 3and 9)
And the lodge although fantastic inside, the lodge and decking backed on to a road to the dock which lorries used to park up on , only a bush between the decking and gap of approx 2 meters in total to the road , gentlemen who did not speak English when I shouted to get away while relieving them self said sorry !because of this and no safety fence I was terrified to leave one of the children alone on the decking in the paddle pool I’d taken while I was inside or leave the doors and windows open at night as a safety precaution , there was no safety fence between us and the road only bushing with gaps . So no I can’t recommend for those reasons of safety and plus engine fumes in this hot weather not at all comfortable. Yes I did complain twice as I was worried, I was told oh sorry and oh nothing has happened before…. Brilliant.
Great lodge and rest of the site great but beware where you book if you have children especially .

Found Coghurst Hall to be a lovely site exceptionally clean and well cared for. Accommodation really clean. Site is not too far away from either Hastings or other nice places to visit so would return for another visit
Review on holiday site
On arrival we were early. Could not get into our booked caravan until allotted time. Shop on site had been cut down to half its original size, chip shop over priced. Swimming pool not very well maintained, terrible smell and untidy in changing rooms. Struggled to open caravan door. Not very pleased to have to pay for internet/ WiFi connection, should be free. Found most staff to be very friendly and helpful Nice clean caravans
Very nice caravan and facilities
After a very long 7 hour drive from Yorkshire, the holiday park at Polperro was a welcome site. Our caravan was a 1 bed gold, and for 2 of us it was excellent. When we arrived, there was a very musty smell, we contacted reception, and in less than 5 minutes, a guy appeared with some shake 'n vac. This seemed to cure the problem in the short term, but when we'd been out for a few hours, it was still there, although not as bad. We had a big problem for most of the week, the weather! For 4 days, all we had was rain and fog, apparently never seen that bad in Cornwall before. It didn't stop us getting out though, and exploring most of the usual sights, including Lands End. The bed was very comfortable, there are charging points in most of the plug sockets, which was convenient. Good selection of kitchen equipment and crockery, glasses etc. Shower was small, but adequate. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful, and the entertainment in the evening catered for all ages. There's also a restaurant, shop, games area and laundrette together with a games room filled with machines, crazy golf and an indoor pool. We enjoyed the experience, as it was our first in a static caravan. We've booked again for next year, only at a different site a little closer to home in Suffolk.

Well equipped caravan staff very accommodating. Shop not very well stocked of supplies. Good location for days out. Only downside is if you are fishing it can be a long walk or car journey to lakes. Wasent aware our dog could not stay in caravan alone before we arrived.

Cleanliness was excellent and nice and quiet friendly owners
We love it
This is the 3rd year we have stayed on site in the glamping pods.
It gets better each year. Great value for money, reception staff are always helpful, clubhouse does exactly what it needs to do, swimming pool is clean and well managed, the entertainment team are great for fun for the kids.
We have booked again for next year and more families are joining us.
The kids love the freedom and space outside the pods, very safe and secure.
The shower and toilet block is clean and maintained.
Would highly recommend and are looking forward to next year.
Great Site But Caravan Cleanniness Is Poor
The site itself was excellent, with a great clubhouse and plenty of enjoyable activities available. All of the staff were polite, helpful, and quick to resolve any issues we raised during our stay.
Unfortunately, the accommodation was extremely disappointing and, in some areas, was below even a basic 1-star standard. On arrival, there was still faeces around the toilet seat, ketchup on the floor and sofa, and almost every handle, light switch cover, and remote control felt sticky. We ended up using eight floor wipes and cleaning the floors ourselves.
It was clear the accommodation had not been cleaned properly for quite some time, as we found old pizza and pasta under the table, along with wet ketchup on the floor in the living area and beneath the dining table. Many of the cups and cooking utensils were also dirty. While this may have been partly due to previous guests not washing items properly, it was evident that housekeeping did not have sufficient time to carry out even the most basic cleaning tasks, such as washing floors and wiping down surfaces.
It's a real shame because the site, facilities, activities, and staff were all excellent. However, the poor cleanliness of the accommodation significantly affected our overall experience.
Lovely place for all the family…

Fabululous Time had by 2 adults, 4 kids & 2 dogs
We had a great holiday at sandlemere holiday park, we had dog friendly accommodation which was spotless. Loads of entertainment for a mixed age range for the 4 children.
Well equipped and comfortable

Lovely clean caravan in a good location, only downside was parking.
Great walks from the site, couldn’t go too far due to the heat, but great to cool off in the air conditioned bar.
3 Sisters go wild in Whitstable
My sisters and myself had an absolutely amazing time , the staff were extremely supportive and helpful, camp was clean and tidy, home was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay memorable, couldn’t ask for more, thank you.
