We were forced to cancel our holiday as one of our children had to isolate as per the government guidelines, made two phone calls to customer services (1.5hrs waiting to talk) for them to confirm that we would have a refund, yet now they refuse. Unfortunately for Park Dean, we have the recordings of the conversations with their customer services confirming that we would be entitled to a refund.
Don’t bother with the cancellation cover as it doesn’t cover anything and they will go back on their word anyway.
Horrendous service, you can never get hold of anyone other than by email, when you do it’s only stock copy and paste answers 5 days later!!
No personal compassion or realistic responses despite keeping your money!
It looks like I’m going to have to go through the small claims court armed with my evidence.
UPDATE!!
Thank you for your response, I would have excepted 100% holiday voucher had that been my only option. The problem being myself and my wife were told by your customer service representatives over the phone, of which I have the recordings, that I could have a full refund this is where the problem lies. Don’t offer it if it’s not available!
The other problem is your response times, trying to get hold of anybody is an absolute joke!
UPDATE AGAIN!!!!
Their communication skills are to be desired!
As I have sent the recordings of the phone conversation, at their request, I would expected a response. After 2 weeks of waiting - nothing.
Very frustrating, small claims here I come.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Disgusting caravan and atrocious service
Arrived today at the White Acres resort in Newquay. On entering the site we were very excited UNTIL we got to our 8 berth caravan - which was left wide open, key on the table and no welcome pack . All the reception and cleaning staff had gone home, so it was left to the poor security guard to try and help. The caravan is filthy and in the midst of a pandemic this is totally unacceptable. After spending 2 hours scrubbing the caravan and clearing out food that had been left under beds and on cupboards. After wiping off the human dribbles and licks off the main door. After scraping splattered curry out of the microwave. As if this wasn't horrific enough we moved on to the beds. Ripped duvet covers and pillows that although they had clean pillow cases on, they have a distinct old, dirty, greasy smell to them underneath. Several curtains are torn and over all a huge disappointment for £1600 for 1 week. The bed in the lounge is broken and dirty, still with filthy bedding on and used wet wipes....vilel! My 15 year old niece refused to sleep on the beds or bedding and is sleeping on towels in the lounge. Her dad is on the other bench in the lounge as he has no bed. It took so long to clean the caravan the shop had shut, so we went to the chip shop....the girl on the counter (who spent far to long giggling at every single word the fryer said behind the counter!) With her very long blonde hair draping in the food was enough to put us from going back there again....very unhygienic! I've just got in bed reluctantly and the noise from the swimming pool sounds like a factory next to us....end of day one and ready to drive the 9 hours back home asap!
UPDATE
The manager wasn't available. The woman on reception acted like it was perfectly normal for the caravan to be so disgusting and confirmed the cleaning staff often didn't clean. She arranged for maintenance to replace the broken bed and offered for the cleaning team to come and clean, which we declined as we had already spent our entire evening sterilising and cleaning the entire van. Refused to do anything about the filthy bedding, ripped and mouldy curtains etc. Informed us they would drop a vacuum cleaner off for us, so we could vacuum all the hairs and dirty tissues up from one of the beds. The place is shambolic! And as for Parkdean holidays reply....absolutely disgusting. We are now taking legal advice as we require a refunding for the bedding we have been forced to purchase along with all the cleaning products on top of the inconvenience and upset this has caused!

Feel absolutely robbed by Park Dean
Feel absolutely robbed by Park Dean, I usually go with haven but thought I would try Park Dean as a nice change BIG MISTAKE.
I am disabled and booked a wheelchair accessable caravan, paid £549, me and my family have been on the social housing bidding on wheelchair accessable properties for over 2 years, and unfortunately a property has been offered to us to move in the same week we go away so had to cancel we are all gutted been looking forward to it, and now park Dean didn't even refund us half our money.. And kept over 300"due to the cancellation rules" although I paid cancellation cover I suggest you look at you're cancellation policy and consider that some people are VULNERABLE and DISABLED and experience very unfair situations that are completely out of their control on a daily basis!!!! and then having to deal with selfish money grabbing companies like you... You should be ashamed of yourselves,no compassion or sympathy. DO NOT BOOK WITH PARK DEAN.

Awful customer service
Awful customer service. No interest in it what so ever.
Booked a holiday along with cancellation cover due to the current climate and my occupation at a hospital.
As predicted I was asked by my hospital to cancel my annual leave due to circumstances so began attempting to contact Parkdean.
You cannot get hold of them over the phone as the cancellation line is always closed for staff training and the main customer service line just directs you to online chat. Then the online chat is about an hour to 2 hours wait. And if you don’t answer them immediately when it’s your turn you have to start all over again!
I asked to cancel to be told I would lose all my money bar £40. Which I questioned with the fact I had cancellation cover. He explained my reason for cancellation was not not one that they considered acceptable. So I was not entitled to a refund. I explained that one of there reasons was “unforeseen occupational posting in your present employment” to which park deans response was this was only for military personnel. Not that it states that anywhere.
However going back and forth questioning this is not seeming to get me anywhere. And they couldn’t care less

I booked a holiday in July and upon…
I booked a holiday in July and upon arriving there at the Ruda Park resort our caravan that we had paid for was given to someone else and we spent 2 hours sitting outside in the rain and cold while we waited to be reallocated as the people who were put in our caravan didn't want to move out as they had made a mistake and gone into our caravan instead of theirs that they had booked for. Finally we were given an option of going into a smaller caravan than what I had paid for as it was the only one available on site. We stayed in the caravan based on an agreement from the manager called Fiona who was working on duty on our day of arrival that she would issue a refund because the caravan that we ended in cost less than the one l had booked and paid for. While we were on the holiday we couldn't access the activities as our names were not logged on to the booking but I had paid for the activities together with the holiday and the money had gone out of my account. I have been calling the office several times and lm told that someone will get back to me and no one has gotten back to me. I have also emailed and no one has responded back to me. It appears that the parkdean employes people who lie and steal peoples money off their account. I am not going to fold my hands l will definitely take this further as they need to stop advertising holidays to people so as to steal their money cause when you turn up at the holiday site you find out that the same holiday you booked has also been sold to someone else. Bad service l would never recommend parkdean to anyone.

The customer service from Parkdean is…
The customer service from Parkdean is nothing less than atrocious. We have been trying to contact the customer service department for over 6 weeks with no level of success. Please I politely ask that someone from this organisation contact us.
Due to extremely unfortunate circumstances we had to cancel a family holiday after the bereavement of my mother. We had taken out cancellation insurance and cancelled the holiday approximately 3 weeks before travel and well within the cancellation window.
This company is quick to take money but offers no after support whatsoever.
We will be now taking this matter as far as possible and would like to be contacted by the management team.

The customer service is really awful. they are the most difficult company to contact I've ever experienced. The only way to contact them is the online chat service you have to wait ages in a queue and then they can't help they say they have sent email and that's all they can do and wait 28days talk to them 28 days later again say they have emailed again and have to wait another 28 days nothing else they can do they say, Emailed costumerservices aren't much help either, all you get an automatic acknowledgement but don't get back to you. And on the site they say the rare different ways to get in contact but there is only the chat and they are useless

The customer service is awful. Parkdean are the most difficult company to contact I've ever experienced. For telephone and online chat service you have to wait ages in a queue and then they can't really help, usually say email holiday admin. Holiday admin aren't much help either, you get an automatic acknowledgement but often they don't get back to you. I applied for refunds for two bookings cancelled due to covid lockdown, at the end of February. It wasn't until 13th May that I got the bulk of the money but they withheld £150 on one booking because I'd used a credit voucher. This didn't make sense as it had already been deducted. I gave up with holiday admin so I wrote to head office on 14th June to query this. I haven't had a reply yet, now 15th July. I emailed admin to ask if they could at least find out if they had received my letter but they haven't replied either. I'm just so exasperated.

Good value UK holidays
We use parkdean holidays every year and we've stayed with them all over the UK. We think they're fab and we've never had a bad holiday. They're affordable and if you book in advance you can get some good deals. You do get value for money. The caravans are clean, the staff are friendly, the facilities are good for the children. We don't often stay in the parks during the day but we look forward to evening entertainment. When lockdown happened, they were fabulous helping us rearrange the holiday. Really great to deal with in a crisis. They deserve a better score on here. We have 2 holidays with Parkdean to look forward to this year, can't wait after 2020!

My review is based on their customer…
My review is based on their customer service and refund policy only. And by my experience, it is poor. 28th May I cancelled my holiday booked for 28th of June. I had cancellation cover, a qualifying reason for cancellation and was told I should expect a refund within 28 days. It is now the 5th of July, well over 28 days. It is so frustrating to talk to the people at customer service, no one seems to know what they're doing and to be honest some of the emails I received, looked like they had been typed by a primary school aged child. Poor grammar, none of it made sense and I was left even more confused. I rang back several times, at different times, their offices are al ays closed it seems, and I just found myself still not knowing anything at the end of every conversation. It's actually caused me quite a bit of anxiety if I'm perfectly honest. Just the not knowing.
After being contacted by the ironically named "here to help" team. Still nothing. The whole process, and customer service.... annoyingly is poor. I find myself getting frustrated before having to phone them and it's close to making me give up to be perfectly honest. It's like talking to a primary school class.

Parkdean, California Cliffs, fine but a few issues.
We are regulars with Parkdean and like the sites. They are all much the same so you know what you are getting. Arrival at California Cliffs well organised and Covid secure. The caravan was in the 3rd row of a pretty packed area. Access was reasonable provided other caravans with 2 cars considered others! You had to drive out carefully through the gaps. The van was newish and well prepared. Main bedroom was ok, with a bit of a gap round the main bed. Lounge and kitchen fine. Boiler not on so I had to reset it, as usual. Main issue was the shower room, very cramped and tiny access to tiny shower, so it was unusable unless you were small or did contortions to get in. Feeble shower with tiny head and no power. The site has all the usual facilities. Restaurant fair if standard, with an app. Swimming, you had to arrive showered and in costume still. Little at California Cliffs apart from 5 separate sites, but Great Yarmouth nearby and a great car collection at Caister Castle. Nice beach with cliffs and good coastal walks. Broads, Cromer, Sheringham etc., all within an hour away, even on Norfolk roads.

VERY poor customer service
I had to cancel my holiday booked in May as my son was taken seriously ill.
I was told I could not move my holiday and had to claim a refund on my cancellation insurance.
I started that process and provided medical evidence only to be told 6 weeks later that i could not have a refund and needed to rebook.
BY then there was no availability for times that i could have annual leave so I eventually was told that they would refund me.
I am still waiting .....many many emails later to customer services and still no money.
I am beyond upset at how i have been treated as until now i have used the Warmwell site many times and been very happy with the services.
I am now going to instruct my solicitor to take up this case as i cannot get through to the phone lines, the wait on the live chat is today 225 mins !!! - not acceptable.
Despite asking for a phone call to discuss this matter I have had no communication at all.
VERY POOR SERVICE.

I have a holiday booked for 23rd July 21 I have to cancel due to family bereavement. I emailed parkdean and have paid my cancellation fee. I was told that it was fine and I excepted that I would loose my deposit. I was asked to send over my documents which would have been fine but as soon as I went on my booking I found this was blocked so I can't get my documents they are now refusing to pay my refund without the documents. No one will answer the phone or call me
This is stressful times and not only have I lost out on my holiday I now can't get my refund

Great park, Dave is a legend!
It’s our last night at the Naze Marine Holiday Park, we brought our tourer and have had a great 10 day break (you can’t blame the park for the weather right?)
Clean tidy park, amenities are good and although we didn’t go in (we have a dog that misses us too much if we leave her 🤷🏼♀️) the entertainment sounded good and the pool inviting. The only thing I would like to see is a dog wash station, or even just a hose for use in warmer weather, but that’s being picky.
The employers are great and approachable. Massive thumbs up to Dave! So friendly, funny, helpful and always busy cleaning, fixing or just helping out. I hope Parkdean realise how lucky they are to have him!
Walton on the Naze is good for a wonder around but is a little tired. Really depends what you’re after. Great break if you have young kids.

Booked a holiday caravan at the wrong park I dident realise till the day after I suffer with autism so for me trying to book a holiday was very stressful I asked them if I could’ve move it to another site they said no I asked for a refund they said no £1000 they have to and won’t let me change it

crimdone dene complex
crimdone dene complex. I arrived earlier to have a meal with my partner daughter & autistic son to be approached by security & asked to leave. Apparently there has been an incident with 3 other families last night & they were asked to leave the complex, me or my family where not at the complex last night we never left the caravan & we are not book with these families, i proceeded to explain this to the security man who would not listen or get me a manager, i am embarrassed & extremely upset that i havs been discriminated like this my son has autism sonwe can not go to the entertainment on a evening as he doesn't like loud noise. He also has to have strict routine so him thinking he's going for a meal with his family to then be removed from the premises with no reason what so ever is extremely upsetting for him & hard to deal with. I have now paid for a holiday & i am not allowed to use the facilities for something i was no part of.

Terrible Everything. Nothing nice to say
Terrible.
First night spent cleaning after buying products, no carpet sweeper no mop nothing but this was just the start. Everything had to be cleaned.
Slept on filthy mattresses Mine had fleas so spent the morning running up to the office and letting people in to replace mattresses, my adult daughter was given a child’s mattress. The carpets were filthy as was the stools.
I am missing a bunch of keys, new silver ear rings, 4 pairs of new socks and no way of contacting the park, I have tried.
It is not as though they have not had time to clean the vans. They should be fined under Covid for exposing us to unclean Covid breading ground. If I could get in touch with them I would tell them what terrible place they run but communication also not their strong suit. Some staff wanting to do their best and we felt sorry for them. Guessing they are on zero hours or the lowest pay possible. Thinking I might call the police about the missing items...
Oh dear, many useless responses and would I like to buy... lol put it down to experience and never ever again
