3rd Trip - Supperb
In June will be my 3rd time visiting Trecco Bay - Porthcrawl - Parkdean, We have been as a family of 7, a group of 4 plus a dog and this time there will be 11 of us with 3 dogs. We have never encountered a problem at this site. We have enjoyed both visits beforehand. All the staff have been pleasant and happy to help. Parkdean even helped out when we hit a financial snag and were able to give us 2 weeks extra to pay the remaining balance on our holiday. Its always clean and the facilities have always been clean. It seems some people just go round to find the tiniest spek of dust to complain or a little but of paint chipped. They seize to forget these caravans are rented out to 100's even 1000's of families and people every year things get worn down and to be honest you get what you pay for, so if your booking a £9 sun holiday your not going to get the best caravans there. You pay more for better and luxury. Id recommend parkdean to anybody. Trecco Bay is specially good for families with being right on the coast and being flat grounded and lots for children today, theres also a fun fair a 10 minute walk up along the beach.
Poor
I reccently went on holiday to a park dean camp site in Mullion. When we were looking at places to go we decided on Mullion as all the pictures looked incredible and it was a place we'd never been before. When we arrived I honestly thought the satnav had got the location wrong as it was nothing like the pictures. The advertisement showed pictures of a beautiful Cove but it was nowhere near the caravan site. We had to drive at least 10 miles everyday to get anywhere enjoyable. Mullion town had nothing to offer and even the Lizard nearby was a bore. We found ourselves driving as far out as Penzance or St Ives to find anything enjoyable (we all agreed we should have stayed in either of these places).
The caravan had a horrible smell and the beds were lumpy and horrible (I actually slept on the sofa both nights). We hated it that much we ended up leaving a night early, deciding driving six hours back home at night would be better than staying any longer.
I wish we'd never paid for entertainment passes as everything was tacky and not in the slightest entertaining. We were going to eat in the restaurant one night but all the tables were dirty and the food did not look appetising. The only nice thing I can say about the place is that the stay were friendly but we didn't even have much interraction with them anyways.
Never again will I stay there!
cancellation insurance is a con and a waste of time
You get charges cancellation insurance and they also charge you a cancellation fee so the insurance is not worth the paper it is written on
cost waaaaaay to much money once on site
For what we paied out for the caravan, travel, food, drinks etc... we might as well have gone abroad for a week in the sun!! ohh well lesson learnt
