I found Palmer Lim invaluable. You get a very detailed Level 2 Home Survey Report with a lot of useful info. We were so impressed that we used them again after our first house purchase fell through. The great thing about Steve Palmer is his knowledge and experience and you can raise any concerns in your report with Steve face to face.
This has to be done through Teams which can be a bit fiddly but well worth it. You can tell Steve loves being a surveyor. If you’re looking for peace of mind (and you should be when buying something of such financial magnitude) Then you can’t go wrong with Palmer Lim.

We first met Steve when the buyers of our property used him to survey our house and we were impressed by his service and the level of inspection he conducted. We then appointed Steve to conduct the survey on a property we are in the process of purchasing and received his great service first hand. Steve is thorough, reliable, very professional and gave us great advice following the survey he conducted for us on a house that we were aware needed quite a bit of TLC. We knew it was a project when we were considering it however, with his expertise, Steve brought a few more elements of work to our attention that you simply wouldn’t know without having experience in property development. We would highly recommend Steve to anyone requiring a property survey.

Steve was very thorough in the survey and gave us a lot to consider. He also offered us a video call following the survey to provide more detail and offer avenues we could take for repairs. We felt very well informed of our purchase.

We instructed Palmer Lim to do a full building survey on a house we're hoping to buy and were very happy with the service. They were clear from the start, good value, and thorough in the survey. The report was detailed and clear, and Steve was on hand to answer any follow up queries we had. Would definitely use Palmer Lim again, couldn't fault them!

I used Palmer Lim services for my property's full survey. I wouldn't recommend their service because when it comes to briefing the client on the 100% of the things they should know, they have done 80%. In my case, pointing out the property's internal walls are plyboard not brick which will have sound transmission impact.

They need to improve the on the things which they find as a concern/potential impact in client briefing not merely stating in the report.

Clear and concise report - supplemented by an excellent discussion to clarify all of the pertinent issues at the property. I would recommend a drone survey if any roof element is being surveyed.

Efficient service

Very happy with the survey Palmerlim did for me , all the staff are very helpful with any questions I had, Steve Palmer responded within two hours to my emails, would definitely recommend this company.

Very happy with service and efficiency, survey took place less than a week after the first contact and report received quickly too.

After receiving my detailed survey I wanted to discuss a few of the findings. This wasn’t possible on the phone but had to be via a video call so it could be recorded. That is absolutely fine but I’m not the most technical person so wasn’t very quick at doing this. I found Steve to be very impatient me and did not have a friendly manner at all. I could hardly hear him as the conversation kept breaking up. I then tried to communicate through email and ask for photos so I could get other help which I did with far more friendlier and helpful professionals.
I did tell him how I felt which he apologised.
This wasn’t a good experience for me therefore I can not recommend to others.
