Unpleasant service and inedible food

You wouldn't normally expect visiting a chippy to be an unpleasant experience, or even capable of producing ill will, but this one does. I asked if I might add my own salt and vinegar to the chips as I like a lot and I might as well have asked if I could suck the blood of his firstborn for the reaction I received from the surly man who scowled at me throughout that operation. I could have overlooked the unpleasant attitude, frosty verging on nasty, but the chips were undercooked and my saveloy only tasted of water (how is that possible?). Instead of being baked and kept warm my friend's steak and kidney pie was microwaved in front of us so the pastry turned to mush. They appeared to have no interest in being pleasant to the customer and their food was very disappointing.
