My friends not long moved into one of their properties and has had various issues with the plumbing since moving in, sinks, baths and toilet not draining properly, they sent someone out and it got sorted but since then she's had similar sink issues and now the shower will not work at all. Downstairs neighbour knocked and then also called them to say that the bath has leaked through the ceiling. They sent an emergency plumber over who didn't do anything but told her she cannot use the bath, this now means she has no bath and no shower in a one bathroomed property. Herself and child are unable to wash properly which is extremely important in her culture (and tbh should be for anyone). Pa housing team keep fobbing it off and saying they are contacting voids teams and managers. She has now been without use of a bath and shower for almost two weeks and it is unacceptable. When calling they are difficult to get through to and this needs resolved with immediate effect. I'm leaving this review on her behalf as she is unable to do so herself. Be aware if you are in one of their properties as they clearly do not care about their clientele or their basic human needs.
Response to comment below from PA: it is not being resolved and is still a live issue she called earlier today and got fobbed off. It needs resolving. Happy to have a discussion regarding the matter if you give me a direct number to contact you on.

PA Housing are one of the worst housing associations I have dealt with. Their complaints are a joke where you get pulled from pillar to post. Assuming you get a reply. I had to write to the CEO and even then got a corporate reply saying nothing of any use. The service charges are outrageous and when you query them get no straight answers.

Steve our surveyor and Claire was absolutely great can’t fault them they communicated and got things done made the whole experience a little bit better as from beginning I did not want it doing due to the amount of stress and work to be done but once it started things have ran as smooth as it can be very helpful the end results fabulous I love being in my New kitchen and enjoy cooking
Thank you P A Housing and Pilon Team for all your hard work

This, I must confess was/is the best accommodation service I have ever utilised in all my years as a locum. Having said that, there is a lot of room for improvement. Firstly, I never had my room cleaned once throughout my 2wk stay despite being reassured by management that it would. Secondly, the toilet plumbing system was faulty- the WC tank was intermittently out of water. So I could not flush the toilet after use. I had to be resourceful to avoid a stinking room. Internet access was also temperamental despite the booster installed. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the service and hope to return soon.

Its Gas safety check time and yes back again after 10 months to write another bad review , the last one being about the threatening letters from PA housing , sent because the contractor didnt show up for the appointments not me who was in waiting . Gues what The same issue !!

So then i get another letter from PA dated 11/3/26 telling me i have a appointment on 16/3/26 at 1pm-5pm with Sureserve , NOBODY CAME !!
I then get a appointment over the phone with a lady from Sureserve apoligising and confirming new appointment for 26/3/26 12pm-5pm . I also get a threatening legal action letter from PA dated 19/3/26 with appointment date for 26/3/26 at 12pm-5pm , i also get a text reminder at lunchtime today as with the other appoinments . Ok...listen to this one. I have tried getting involved with PA to make things better, believe me, I really have. Signed up for a couple of their online meetings with Microsoft Teams a while back. Another bit of a joke, in my opinion - another investment, more money - which means more rent etc.
I can't do those meetings anymore - they just don't listen - my opinion.
Not many tenants joined the meetings that I was involved in, like about 3, maybe 4?
Why would they? Ok, some will be at work, busy etc. But how many just can't deal with it anymore?
So, the issue of replacing the cladding came up, didn't it. I had stuff to say about that. First of all, at time of posting this review, the Grenfell Tower disaster was nearly 9 years ago. Far too long, but I am not going to explain the whys of that here.
Where I live, we have 3 blocks - 2 are joined together, the other is separate.
PA Housing had finally announced their plans for the cladding replacement - all the relevant cladding was going to be replaced, except the roof cladding on the separate block. The reasoning given was that the roof area on that block was effectively, 'dead space (my term)' and did not come under fire safety regulations (no threat to life, I suppose - DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH, or should that be cry?!!) so did not need to be replaced.
Well that just isn't smart is it? First of all, there is the aesthetics - one block is going to have this cladding and the others are going to have that cladding. I don't know, maybe they will install something that looks the same. Won't BE the same though, will it?
Also, if you are going to do a job properly - DO IT PROPERLY.
FAR MORE IMPORTANTLY, just because it does not fall within fire safety regulation criteria, DOES NOT MEAN it can't catch fire.
A few days before the online meeting, there was a news article on the telly. A, 'dead space', roof with dodgy cladding had caught fire. Video footage showed it really going like the, 'clappers', I swear. Funny hey?
A few days later we had the meeting. I questioned not replacing the, 'exempt', cladding but was fobbed off with, 'We need to listen to the experts'!!
But it was the experts that got us in this mess in the first place!! By the way, I'm an ex fireman. Ironic isn't it?
The, 'experts', that have entered my home, over the years, have been shocking. I have had to reason with surveyors, correct contractors' repairs myself and the rest of it. I just see things getting worse......Something I said, quite a few years back - 'The age of the professional is over. This is the age of the amateur.'
I guess this review is going to be flagged. I may have to edit it.....If PA Housing keep burying the truth, the truth will just get stronger. Survival of the fittest? These days it is more like survival of the weakest.
We have been dealing with a water leak coming from the ceiling since 17 January. After many frustrating calls and nearly two months of waiting, a plumber finally visited on 13 March.
However, he arrived without the necessary equipment to open the overhead storage area where the pipes are located, so he could not inspect the leak. He said he needed to buy tools from a plumbing shop and would return shortly, but he never came back. We spent the entire Friday waiting.
In the meantime, the leak continues. We cannot leave the flat for more than 2–3 hours because the bucket under the leak fills up quickly. The area has now also become mouldy due to the severity of the leak. This situation has seriously disrupted our work, social life, and normal living conditions.
It is unacceptable to send a plumber who does not have the basic equipment to do the job. After already waiting two months, we expect this issue to be addressed urgently and by someone properly prepared to resolve it

Response to PA Housing`s comment (17th of March):
This feels like nothing more than publicity on your part. Saying “sorry to hear that, we should have done better” isn’t enough — you should have done better in fixing a leak in a flat you are responsible for maintaining. That is exactly what we pay a high service charge for.
The ceiling is now rotten and covered in mould, and we have been expected to live in these conditions for two months as of today. That is completely unacceptable.
After yet another stressful call this morning with PA Housing, we were told — again — that someone has been assigned to the job. But when will the work actually be carried out? How much longer are we expected to wait? Another two months? There is still no clear answer.
I am beyond frustrated at this point. Being stuck at home under these conditions is taking a serious toll. If this continues for another weekend, I genuinely feel like I’m going to lose my mind.
Frankly, PA Housing is starting to feel like a scam. You have been sent videos, photos, and multiple reports. A leak is a leak — it doesn’t need endless “investigation.” Yet instead of fixing the issue, you keep sending people to assess it without resolution.
It makes me question what exactly our service charge is paying for — because it certainly doesn’t seem to be going toward actually solving problems.

In January my council nominated me for a property with pa housing. A lovely lady called Roshni from the lettings department contacted me and informed me all about the process ahead. Roshni was amazing kept me well informed throughout the whole process, even when I was getting anxious she kept responding and reassuring me. Tomorrow I pick up my keys and can begin moving into my new home. Thank you very much Roshni 😊

PA rob their tennants. Every year they send out service charges, we are charged for bulk rubbish removal but we have wheely bins, communal window cleaning when there are no communal windows and 50 quid a year for communal electric - thats to run 3 led light bulbs on motion detectors and timers. Complained about this several times and no action has been taken. Next step is the ombudsman. The estates team do not call you back nor will the call center staff direct you to them. Community housing officers quit faster than politicians and there is no local contact for help. Avoid if you can.

Writing on behalf of my aunty who has been having ongoing issues in her property. She has since been in touch with Sarah Mann who as reassured, gone above and beyond and has put her at ease. Once the work had been done Sarah even checked in to make sure everything went as planned and that my aunty was happy with the outcome. Really appreciate the extra mile Sarah has gone for my aunty.
Thank you!

I have been in contact with Abi from the Tenancy Sustainment Team. She successfully helped me renew my PIP.
Abi is so professional, kind, calm and helpful. She arranged for a 3 way telephone call so I didn't have to speak to the DWP on my own & sorted out technical problems with the online forms. I wouldn't have been able to complete the hideous thing without help.
Everyone I've had contact with from the Tenancy Sustainment Team over the years have been quietly helpful. They are vital to have around when the DWP can be so hostile.
