Nice service, HORRIBLE haircut. Not-recommended-for-curls
The 2nd of April 2016, I went to their salon in Ryesgade.
I've got curly hair, and I DREAD going to a hair salon, because when I leave, my curls are frizzy and almost nonexistent, my hair looks clumpy and dry, and the first thing I want to do when leaving, is take a shower and fix it.
I read many comments on Internet saying that their salon is great for curly hair, and they know how to cut it - so I decided to pay 525r and get a good service before my job interview, instead of risking a 200kr haircut and end in tears.
Everything was really pleasant, and the hairdresser (Marie) was really polite and kind. The haircut was exactly what I wanted and had the length I wanted it to be, which is something I'm very grateful for, being used to "only two fingers", and then see 10 cm disappearing.
Unfortunately, when it came to the moment of finishing, I felt hideous, because all the problems I mentioned above were right there, on my hair: it was frizzy, opaque, and felt dry.
I asked if it was possible to do something about it, and the hairstylist put an almost defeated face and said that it was hard, because of the hairdryer... She applied a gel that helped a bit, but still the result made me feel deeply self-conscious.
I paid those 525kr and left the salon hiding my hair under a thick scarf and my coat.
As I said, I'm very happy with the shape and length, the service... But the result was TERRIBLE. I took a shower and washed my hair, which helped to make it look a bit better for my Monday interview.
I know curly hair can be complicated, that's why I went to their salon. I simply expected to be able to leave a hair salon sporting a beautiful curly mane for the very first time in my life, and not to leave hiding it – like I ended doing.
I took photos some minutes after leaving the salon, in case they'd like to see them – however, they never replied to my feedback email.
I'll keep them as a reminder that, unfortunately, price isn't always synonym of quality...
