Terrible experience with OE. Richard assisted us prior to signing up he would not retire anywhere in near future, months later received an email to say he’d sold his shares and is winding down towards retirement. From then on we felt we have been treated as a reference number only, and a tick box to get us ‘whatever visa’ so they can move on to their next number!
No interest or knowledge of our personal circumstances or requirements, even though we pointed this out several times throughout the process. Their response was “well we got you a visa didn’t we?”
Yes you did, but a visa that restricts me from even applying to work in my profession for at least 3 years from date of entry to Oz, after building my qualifications and experience over the past 16 years. I agreed to this visa as Richard assured me 100% I could work in my profession….categorically wrong!
His response to this was “well I’ve done my job and now you need to decide if the move is right for you or not!”
We’ve spent circa £14k on the process so far and are moving to be with family and develop ourselves further in our career, the move has always been right for us!
On top of this there has been a continuous lack of understanding of our requirements, zero compassion throughout, lack of communication between the OE team, bad advice on several occasions, some of which has cost us a very avoidable small fortune and great deal of stress and pressure.
I even asked Richard to send me their complaints procedure to which he refused! This is against Scottish law!
He also said I should feel free to complain to OISC but his license had expired and he wouldn’t renew it so it wouldn’t matter to him!
We really wish we had gone with DUC or even went through the process by ourselves.
It’s overwhelming to begin with so that’s why you pay for the comfort and support of an agent, but once you’re into it you gather enough information that you could complete it, and at least you’d care about the outcome!
We will still be moving and making it work, but OE have made a very huge negative impact on how we will be able to do so!

Overseas emigration co uk - I made an enquiry as directed on the website. It has been more than 2 working days and I have not heard a response. The site claims to help people emigrate, apparently with a whole team of experts from different parts of the globe. I took a chance and offered some personal information and my secondary email account. To my knowledge, I have not had a response. I would approach with caution or better yet, not at all. Any company who cannot be bothered to even reply to an email, is not worth your time.
