Thought our English Setter was doomed to spend the summer housebound. Her ears were magnets for cheatgrass. She had no problem with the field guard and was off and running. Wished I’d found this before all the vet bills. Love it!

I have a special needs dog that cant properly chew and digest many things. This mask when worn outside she maintains her vision, can play and be able to keep her from eating and drinking the things she can't have.

This is really good quality and the Velcro straps are perfect for attaching to a harness. My previous purchase from Amazon, without straps, quickly ended in an impenetrable prickly bush. My dog is calmer wearing it but still has a fun time exploring.

Purchased an Outfox 4-5 years ago. It is still going strong. Bo the beagle is a sniffer and goes everywhere when we are out at the farm. Never picked up a foxtail. (Or any other burr, or even bigger seeds.) He took to it very well, and it gives me peace of mind. He can drink through it, breathes well, and this summer, it’s keeping MOSQUITOS off his head as well !!! Highly recommended for this use also….there’s really not anything else out there for head protection from the little buggers and we’re having a horrible season for them. Highest marks, terrific customer service if you need help with sizing.

Love your masks. Just realized my new pup was bigger than anticipated and my other masks wouldn’t fit her. She spends weekends on an 80+ acre ranch and needs protection from all those foxtails. All my dogs use them.

After A LOT of money spent on vet bills getting cheat grass out of two dogs ears, I purchased these hoods. We live on acreage so our dogs have a wide range and we cant begin to get rid of all the cheat grass. These hoods allow them to drink and breathe normally. They have been able to get them off at times so I’ve covered a lot of ground looking for them. I need to put a tracker on the hoods!!! Thanks for designing this item.

The outfox field guard is AWESOME! My dog got a foxtail in her nose 7 years ago. It ended up being a serious ordeal costing around $6K. The vet recommended Outfox my girl hasn't had a foxtail issue since. Sometimes it would slip off so we strap the velcro straps to her harness. Works perfectly. She doesn't mind the field guard at all. It's a wonderful product.

This is the third Field Guard I've ordered from OutFox (my dog is a lab who eventually manages to chew through the mesh in her quest to eat anything organic or even inorganic. The product is good. My issue is that the carrier (UPS) charged me $36.95 (Canadian) which is roughly $27.00 US.—that is over 1/3 the price of the Field Guard. This is a common complaint in Canada when items are being shipped using UPS from the US... it is a bit of an inflated cash grab that none of UPS's competitors seem to practice.
As indicated by the response to my review, indeed there is a way to choose the carrier. Choose wisely.

Loved the idea of the product. Easy to use. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it for scavaging; instead of eating things, our dog just buried his nose further into nasty stuff and licked what he wanted.

I’m using these for about eight years for my three dogs. They don’t mind them a bit and have never had a vet bill for Foxtails since!

The company responded to my queries immediately and followed up as soon as there was an update so I could place my order without delay.

The muzzle is so easy to fit & by following the training instructions, my dog has accepted it really well. I am very happy with the Outfox muzzle & it should stop my dog scavenging when we are away camping.

My dog has very early stage Cushings disease and is constantly foraging. It had gotten to the point where we dreaded taking him for walks because we couldn’t prevent him from eating rocks, sticks, plastic, whatever was on the ground. My friend, a vet tech, recommended OutFox and I am so grateful.

This product is quite literally saving my dog’s life, by preventing him from eating harmful objects. I couldn’t be more relieved.

We have very large Goldador, who LOVES flushing birds, hunting and adventuring. But where we live is often covered with cheat grass, saw grass, and other things that can get stuck in his sinuses or behind his tonsils. This product is both comfortable for him, and rugged! Works great - so thankful for a product he can wear that protects from the elements! - ( and saves on our trips to the vet!)

These masks have been a lifesaver for my dogs! We live in an area with lots of foxtails and had to do many removals before finding these. Well worth the price, especially when compared to a vet bill. And they can drink water wearing it without issues!
