Poor old Outback

Poor old Outback, they just can't get it right. We don't order from them very often, usually we wait until the sting of the last order has faded. Tonight we ordered prime rib - with no seasoning. Yep, you guessed it, seasoned to Durham and back. Still good, though. Just not what we ordered.

What was really annoying was that I sat there in the pickup space for 10 minutes after checking in on their app, looking at an order sitting on the shelf. I was the only one in the parking lot and finally decided to call to see if it was my order. Yes, the order I'd been looking at for 10 minutes was my order. Now, 10 minutes isn't too long to wait if the kitchen is backed up, but if you can see your order sitting on the shelf the whole time, especially if you are the ONLY customer there, then that's a different thing. The nice fellow who brought it out had a drink in his hand. Turns out it was his drink. Somehow I didn't expect him to bring his own drink out to the car with my order. I guess there's a first time for everything.

I'm reminded of the old cowboy comedy movie, "The Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight". BTW, I don't just complain, if someone gets it right, I commend them. Sadly, in Outback's case, that's not something that happens.

Didn't receive all my food I paid for!!!!

I call in with a curbside order. I ordered a steak and lobster meal and order of wings and the blooming onion rings. After waiting for 40 minutes I call in to see the status of my order kept being transferred to different people and being left on hold for almost 7 minutes. Then when I got my order no bake sweet potato. I informed one of the young men I didn't receive my bake potato and he brought me one out . However I also Didn't realize I didn't get my wings until I got home. Outback lost me as customer tried calling back couldn't get through. I paid to much money for my order to be messed up and not receive the food I paid for. I realize we all make mistakes but give me what I paid for.Outback needs to double check customers order and their customers service wasn't good at all.

At the Outback restaurant in O’Fallon

At the Outback restaurant in O’Fallon, IL, our server, Amanda, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Her manager, Kenneth, was excellently capable! On a scale of one to ten our overall experience rated a twenty!!!!! We will definitely dine here again when we are in town. Thanks to Kenneth and his excellent staff. Their hospitality is second to none!!!!!!

I had lunch

I had lunch. There wasn't feeling well but I stopped in alone and I had lunch. and I was challenged in my walk.I still wanted to come and eat some lunch. I had very good service from the from the person who opened the door for me. I was seated where I was wanted to be seated by a young lady and I had a steak order. I thought it was the $16.99 special but I was told they didn't have that anymore. My server was Olivia and some other young. Ladies helped me when I needed something. It was very, very good service and I'm glad that they are new in my area. I did talk to Ashley and gave her a good review over the phone because a lot of time is we forget to say thank you and we forget to pass on the good service and I encourage you if you receive good service, let them know because that will be encouraging to the restaurant and the manager and the people that served you.

The food was overcooked

The food was overcooked, The steak was a third of the size it usually is.. and the salad was almost wilted.. I'd love this place but I am very disappointed in the meal that we got and spent a lot of money on for four people... This will be the last time that we have supper at outback steakhouse in St Petersburg..

Thanks again to our server Kathy for…

Thanks again to our server Kathy for helping us get a great experience this Mother’s Day at the Orland Park Outback . The place was jam packed ! The food was taking forever! But Kathy greeted us with her beautiful smile a made sure to bring our food & drinks to us in a timely manner. Waiting for the main course did not seem as long with Kathy checking on us. I don’t think we would have stayed if we couldn’t have gotten Kathy. Actually that is the only reason we keep coming Things have sure changed there within the last year or so !

First I tried ordering online

First I tried ordering online. I got to checkout and a bright red warning popped up that the store was closed. On a Wednesday at 530pm. Right. So I called and after waiting almost 10 minutes on the phone and I finally got a human to take my order. Then the person kept entering my paycheck method wrong and wanted to give up after it was screwed up 3 times. I insisted and on the 4th try they got it right. When I went to get my order curbside I was told there was a problem with my payment again, so waithed another 10 minutes in my car for them to straighten it out. Was told the cashier failed to close my order and that sent red flags. So far, close to 30 minutes of my time was wasted just ordering and picking it up. The Blooming Burger was so dry that I only ate half. The salad had brown wilted lettuce in it. The bread and fries were the best part of the meal. Then the person who brought out my order wanted a tip just for causing delays and bringing my order out. OUTBACK.... you lost a good customer now and my family agreed to never go there again. Horrible Horrible experience. Never again will I go back.

I ordered the steak and lobster to-go. The lobster was succulent and the steak was very tender and seasoned just right. The loaded potato was fluffy, the bread was good, and the salad was very fresh! Run don't walk for this special.

Derby Day in Columbia, SC

Sat at the bar at Outback #4118 in Columbia, SC on Kentucky Derby Day so we could watch the race. Logan and Nay were awesome and drinks were delicious! They were attentive to all of the people around the bar. Great service, great food!

Our server at Outback - Columbus GA, Holly, was a delight! She worked with us, gave useful information about menu items, and was quick to offer the little extras which can make the difference between a humdrum meal and a truly enjoyable one!

Bad experience with Server and food


First off. I do not even know my server's name until I looked at the receipt, because she did not give it. Secondly, I ordered a ribeye medium well that basically came back rare thirdly, the mannerisms of the service was not up to par with the level of service. There was no greeting of any kind. She said" what do you want to drink?What do you want?" i asked here to look at the steak and tell me how done it looks She said Medium, it was medium rare. She said I told "them medium well". She did however ask did i want to bring it back.. i declined that offer, by then i had lost my appetite. I didn't even take it to go. Did not even eat half the meal. Overall just disappointed with the experience. the location of this Outback was in Southaven, MS. I may revisit in a month or two.

The Outback burger.

Our server Casey was the best. I had the Outback Burger and I thought it was cooked really well. My only complaint was the roll that the burger was on. The texture was like a cheap hamburger roll that you would buy at Walmart. They should have put it on a soft Kaiser roll. Then I would have put 5 stars.

At the Augusta

At the Augusta, GA location.. Having to get a bartenders attention away from her iPhone watch and texting from it, TWICE, while she’s behind the bar.. then being told to “calm down”.. I mean,.. is she not working?! Horrible, unnecessary experience. This location seems to be going down the tubes,.. we’ve been here a handful of times lately, and most times something just sucks about the experience!

Had dinner at Outback in Princeton WV…

Had dinner at Outback in Princeton WV this evening. Our server Kayla went above and beyond to make our visit special. At first, she brought her personality to work with her which is lost on many restaurant workers these days. She was quick with service, checked back with us just the number of appropriate times. I was delighted to tip her north of 27%. She earned every penny of it.

Best Outback Around

The Outback Steakgouse in Hermitage, TN has the absolute BEST takeout crew I have ever seen. I order from there very often through DoorDash and they almost never make even a tiny mistake. I don’t know who the manager is but he is to be commended because he has a marvelous crew!

service was good

service was good, my steak was good, wife alice chicken was uneven in size so thin side was dry and thick was ok, Aussie potatoes dense like plaster, my shrimp over cooked and rubbery and 2 of them still had veins in them very unappetizing. if i hadnt had a gift card would have really been upset with the price because its about doubled since its been 5+years since i returned since my last bad experience and i may never go back
