From the initial quote stage to regular updates from Jacqueline, my move manager, I was able to ship all my heirlooms from Canada to Australia, including my Cedar chest and upright piano - a dream come true! Tom and Dan were excellent unloading in Australia and my parents were impressed with the efficient, professionally packed boxes on the packing side in Canada. Highly recommend!

We used OSS World Wide Movers for an international relocation (Australia to Gibraltar). The experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

We were initially sold a maximum estimated storage/transit timeframe, but our shipment sat for months with repeated reassurances that dispatch was “imminent.” Updates were vague and inconsistent, and we frequently had to chase OSS for basic information. What they communicated and promised us was never delivered

When our belongings did finally arrive after six months, multiple furniture items were damaged — those that were severely damaged were unfixable. Several pieces were chipped, smashed, or structurally compromised, and sentimental, irreplaceable items were broken. We were explicitly instructed not to pack anything ourselves because OSS would handle "professional" packing.

After all this and despite extensive photographic evidence, OSS refused to assess responsibility, stating that because advanced transit insurance was declined, the matter would not be reviewed “regardless of the nature or cause of the damage.” Damage was repeatedly described as “normal transit movement,” even where the extent of destruction was clearly inconsistent and not caused with minor vibration or wear.

The most concerning aspect was the position taken by OSS that service quality and packing standards are irrelevant if insurance is not purchased. Insurance may determine financial recovery, but it does not erase a mover’s responsibility to pack and handle goods professionally. The refusal to separate insurance coverage from basic duty of care was embarrassing on their account, and frustrating and disappointing on ours.

OSS referenced industry standards, but in our case there was no meaningful accountability when the outcome fell well short of professional expectations and denied all accountability.

Bottom line is that we lost thousands of dollars worth of precious items that we worked hard to obtain all because OSS does not respect the property of their customers nor how long it takes to get there. They possess an inflexible, dismissive approach to responsibility once problems arise, and while we cannot pursue legal action any further, we would not recommend OSS World Wide to anyone.

These guys; Josh, Justice and Jason were great. They were helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you, the three Js.

Matt and Jason from OSS were absolutely fantastic. They unpacked my boxes efficiently and went above and beyond by offering thoughtful advice on where I should keep certain items so they’re easy to reach and manageable for me to move later.
They were courteous, proactive, and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable and set up well in my space. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made a stressful move much easier. I truly appreciate their hard work and professionalism and would gladly recommend them.

Requested a quote from them for an overseas move, and on the quote request form specified email only as the contact option. They ignored that and contacted me via SMS which is not at all professional. Rather than give me a quote, they suggested that I try some other company.

The OSS moving crew we had are fantastic. Super efficient, helpful and determined to make it all work smoothly for us. They are friendly and communicative and worked with us straight through to the end! We are super pleased!

Absolutely incredible movers. They worked very efficiently and were very careful with everything. I have a lot of art and delicate ceramics and they packed it all perfectly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to move especially if you have unique items that need extra care and an experienced packer.

We recently moved to the USA from Australia. We researched and found a moving company (OSS World Wide Movers) to transport all of our belongings from Australia to the USA.

We left Australia on 21st of April 2025.

We read all of the terms and conditions before we accepted any quotes from them and agreed to a price ($5,738.00). This price included door-to-door transport of over 50 boxes. Our belongings were picked up by OSS World Wide Movers on 7th of April 2025.

We were told many times that the price was based on volume of items and were never told that weight of items was a factor. We were extremely careful about what we packed in the boxes. We obviously wanted to pack items that were not replaceable once we moved to the USA. Personal items and memory items cannot be replaced. We did not pack any furniture but did pack kitchen items such as pots and pans, and plates, bowls etc. We packed books in smaller boxes to make sure they were not too heavy to carry. We purchased two types of boxes from OSS World Wide Movers and we only used these boxes. Books and heavier items went into smaller boxes.

We were assigned a ‘Relocation Consultant’ by OSS and my wife asked her many times about the weight of the boxes and my wife was told that as long as the moving guys can pick up the boxes, they were fine. At no time were we told that the was a weight limit or that extra changes would occur at any time in regards to weight.

We are now in the USA and have finally been informed that our boxes have made it to the USA and are in New York at a storage facility. We live 900+ miles from New York.

Schumacher Cargo Logistics is the name of the company that has our belongings. They sent us a bill on September 10th 2025 for $1,776.00 USD ($2,658.84 AUD) because of excessive weight of our belongings.

This of course came as a complete surprise to us because we paid for door-to-door service from Australia to Tennessee, USA and were never once told that there was a weight limit on our goods.

We contacted OSS World Wide Movers and after not receiving an answer from them for a couple of days we finally received an email to tell us that our matter was being reviewed by the management at OSS World Wide Movers. We did not hear from them again for another couple of days and after calling them, leaving messages and then finally getting the permission to speak to the manager of the company, he told us that he would look into it but we would still have to pay the bill for the release of our belongings. He said that they don’t normally worry about weight limits at their end but sometimes their associates in the USA add extra charges for haulage. I told him that this was not part of the quote and that I expected ‘door-to-door’ delivery as was agreed upon. He said he would look into it but ultimately, he wouldn’t do much about it because the charge was from an American company, not OSS World Wide Movers. I reiterated that we would not pay the extra amount that we are now being asked for by Schumacher Cargo Logistics and that I expected OSS World Wide Movers to cover this charge and delivery our belongings.

I re-read all of the terms and conditions, contracts and quotes that we have and there is no mention of extra charges for weight or even any mention of weight of boxes. Every conversation we have had with ‘Relocation Consultant’ by OSS was only in regards to volume of the boxes, never the weight of the boxes.

I would STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend staying away from OSS!!!

Do not trust them. They lie and hold your belongings ransom and demand money at the other end which you are not told about in the original quote.

We had a terrible, terrible experience and would never use them again.

I cannot stress enough that they are not an honest company.

We were never told of possible excessive weight charges at the destination end. Never told! Their terms and conditions do not mention anything about excessive weight. They are lying.... As again.

As for the bill we were sent by carrier in USA, they are now lying about that too. I can upload a copy of the bill.

Our belongings were eventually delivered and OSS did offer to pay for some of the freight charges in the USA but there should not have been any extra weight charges!
When a company quotes you for door-to-door delivery that should be it. No extra charges.

If they were just honest any possible extra charges up front, we would've packed accordingly.

Cortney & Carlos were absolutely exceptional, as was Metua!! Approachable, professional, efficient!! What a well organised, responsive and effective organisation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We moved with OSS in the first half of 2025. The quotation phase was friendly and customer focussed and we lined up the pack and move. The pack was done efficiently and to a decent quality, and our goods moved quickly to destination without damages and the delivery partner was of a better quality than we had experienced with previous moves.

Unfortunately a house purchase fell over before settlement during transit so we couldn’t immediately deliver our goods which presented the problem of requiring intermediate storage at destination before delivery. On this part we feel things could have been handled better by OSS, as it was impossible to amend the insurance to cover a period of storage at destination, and it was left fully with ourselves to solve, again saved by the quality of the delivery partner who was a lot more solution oriented than what we experienced when dealing with OSS.

All in all a good experience, some tweaks in customer service post the quotation phase to deal with unforeseen issues would have made it perfect.

On the company collecting our contents from our pick up address not all items were packed together which made unpacking on the other end frustrating looking through boxes. Also the movers also knocked our letterbox over with their truck the day before our house was due to be sold which made things stressful. The company did offer a contribution to fix it which was positive. Once all items were picked up the quoted price and volume went up by $600 which was almost 10m3 of contents different. On the other end we had multiple damaged items which the $3500 insurance policy would not cover because of storage on the other end. Our experience has been we would not recommend this company!!

We recently engaged OSS Worldwide Movers to coordinate the packing of our belongings from storage in Nowra for international relocation to New Zealand. Carlos and Cortney demonstrated the highest level of professionalism throughout the process. Their attention to detail, efficiency, and care in handling our items were outstanding. The service provided was seamless and gave us full confidence that our possessions are in capable hands. We are very satisfied with the experience and would not hesitate to recommend OSS Worldwide Movers for international relocations.
