They Won't Follow Through.. I dealt with them in July of 2025 for the last time. Several months earlier they gave me a contract that they would finish my book in 30 days. It took 9 months, they made over 35 errors, they assigned people who would fix one problem then mess up something else. They did not place my book on most of the platforms they promised to upload to. Delay after delay. All the while calling me and asking for money money for marketing they could not and did not perform. Now they are trying to block my review. I had to even call the city officials of La Palma, CA where they were supposedly located. City officials issued them a Cease and Desist. You can check that with the business division of La Palma, CA. Oscar did not refund the thousands of dollars they tried to take from me, but pretended they did the refund and then stopped answering my calls, text msgs and emails. These are the facts. Because of Oscar GW delays and excuses, I missed a pre-launch, several book signings and sales. Trustpilot will remove what they consider a "defamatory" review, but by law the truth being negative as the fault of Oscar GW is not defamation, it is just the truth and the facts. Defamation is based on negatives that are not true.

complete scammers. they never did any of the work or even read my submissions. they immediately pressured to buy increased amount of “marketing”. they made fake profiles for “meetings” with “ fake managers”. absolutely scam.

I would put zero stars if I was able. I have been working with Oscar ghost writing on two books since October 2024 with a promise of having a book in 90 days. They have fabricated a $1200 outstanding invoice as the reason they have not completed my work. I have paid them $4800 and I do not have anything and they have since shut me out of my project because I am asking for a return of my money which I have in contract. I would not work with them under any circumstances I have been dealing with Jay Garcia, and Alex Marshall. Nothing they have told me has been true

Terrible service, I finally got to the cover design portion, and it’s only AI. Negotiating the cover art out of my contract would have saved me some money. It’s a useless service. I gave them my title, and they made one up, didn’t use mine. Garbage. Never EVER use them, please find a competitor. Their editing service cost me 500 dollars, and months later, I found a company offering the same for 300. They do nothing for premium service. Please take note that all the 5-star reviews only have one review and no profile picture. Do not believe them!

I am heartbroken and deeply disappointed with my experience working with this company. I signed a contract nearly a year ago to publish my children’s book, with the promise that the entire process would take 2–3 months. Instead, after 11 months, only 11 pages were completed, despite my constant communication, detailed feedback, and repeated efforts to move things forward.

The contract I signed clearly promised unlimited free revisions, timely delivery, and a full refund if deadlines were not met or I was dissatisfied with the work. All of those conditions were broken. I had to constantly remind the team of the same revisions, and still saw minimal progress.m and now being charged for it. The delays were endless and exhausting.

Even worse, they suddenly demanded an additional $500 months into the process for the revisions, something not listed anywhere in the original contract. I was never informed in advance, and they could not show any official contract stating that change. When I questioned this, I was told a refund “was not an option,” even though the signed contract guarantees a full refund under the exact circumstances I faced.

I’ve asked multiple times for a copy of this so-called “updated” contract, and they never sent it because it doesn’t exist it was just updated policies that I wasn’t informed about. Instead, I was emotionally pressured and made to feel like my only option was to give in or walk away empty-handed. Now they are refusing to refund the $1,000 I paid.

Publishing a book is supposed to be a proud, exciting process. But this was draining, discouraging, and felt manipulative. I am sharing my story so that no other aspiring author has to go through what I did. Please be cautious before signing anything with this company. They may say all the right things at first, but once they have your money, it’s a different story and it’s not the first time they’ve surprised me with other expenses. I went through so much with this company because I hoped and believed, but it only hurt me in the end.

What a scam! This had to be a foreign service posing as an American corp. Lousy Ai, ridiculous ideas, demands for more money. I am waiting for a promised partial refund and I am not counting on this until I see it in my account.

November 29-30, 2023: I made initial payments totaling $1,000 for ghostwriting services. The first writer assigned showed a lack of professionalism, producing only three irrelevant pages over a month.

January 4, 2024: At the behest of a second writer, Fiona Clark, I paid $3,750 for a marketing campaign and $3,612 for a social media awareness campaign. Shortly after securing these payments, Fiona became unresponsive, citing personal reasons, leaving the projects in limbo.

Subsequent Months: A third writer was assigned but lacked understanding of the project. Communications became sporadic, with the company sending repetitive emails without addressing the core issues.

Financial Impact:

In total, I invested $8,362 in services that remain undelivered. Despite their assurances, I have seen no tangible progress on my book or the associated marketing campaigns.

Psychological Harassment Through Redundant Communications

When I sought a refund, I was subjected to a barrage of redundant emails. Over several weeks, I received 12 emails, each stating that my case was under review and requesting an additional 1-2 business days. This repetitive correspondence felt like a tactic to delay and frustrate, adding to the emotional distress caused by their unprofessional conduct.

Oscar Ghostwriting touts a refund guarantee if you're not satisfied. Well, after giving them a try, I told them I wasn't satisfied 8 months ago and they still haven't given me my refund, even when I'm asking them every week about it. They keep lying to me about it being processed in hopes that I just go away and stop reaching out to them.

They are not US-based. All overseas. The "ghostwriter" I speak with isn't even an author like she claims. She just takes notes to send to the group of ghostwriters, and then poorly tries to upsell me on other services. On every call.

I'm sure their services work well for some people. But just know, if it doesn't work for you, you will NOT get your money back. Go with someone else with better business ethics. STAY AWAY FROM OSCAR GHOSTWRITING.

Very incompetent and low-caliber team! They will take your money and spin you around from team to team taking days, and months but have no idea how to understand the client's needs and how to finish the project! I requested to speak to the CEO's office, and they ran me around. It has been almost a year and they haven't even done a thing for it. Don't know if there is one!!! I tried to leave messages on the portal and the phone, but there was no reply. BE CAUTIOUS HIRING THEM!!!! I will NOT do business with them ever!!!!!! I NEED MY MONEY RETURNED ASAPPPPP!!!

Beware of Oscar Ghostwriting – Fake Reviews and Poor Service

I’ve been working with Oscar Ghostwriting since March, hoping they’d help me bring my book to life. It’s now November, and they’ve barely finished Chapter 3—and that’s after I did most of the writing myself. They have no idea what they’re doing, and their reviews are fake. I had someone investigate, and there are many complaints online about their misleading practices.

They’ve assigned me over eight different "writers," but most of them are just agents who call at odd hours, pushing for more payments for "marketing" without delivering any real progress. They refuse to show past client work, claiming confidentiality, which now seems like an excuse.

They drag out the process deliberately because they know after 60 days, it’s too late to file a dispute. A genuine writer would take the time to understand the story, get into the client’s shoes, and build on their experiences. But here, there’s no continuity, no creativity, and they don’t even keep track of previous notes.

Run far away from these people! They’re stringing clients along, taking money without delivering quality or legitimate results. Save yourself the stress, time, and money.
