Whilst I had to wait nearly an hour before someone could assist with my request for a better daily rate, in the end it was well worth it. ‘Dave’ & I agreed on a deal to my satisfaction. I’ve been an... See more

Your operator(Avi, I think), was very easy to understand, helpful & patient. I was most impressed.

Informative, helpful and just kind. Sometimes it just takes a person to sit back and let the customer know “I can see how that may feel”.
Thanks for your work, and doing just that little bit extra to explain things Rick 🙌🏽

My electricity was not connected on the day it was booked and we had to go the entire weekend without electricity in our new house, during winter in Sale VIC where it is 1° overnight. We are relocating from interstate and did not have access to the house until late Friday afternoon. We were not contacted by either AusNet or Origin Energy that our electricity was not able to be connected due to the main switch being left on. A phone call, message or email could have solved this problem and we could have asked a family member to go around to the house to turn the switch off. The lack of communication and monitoring of a new customer connection was absolutely not good enough. When has customer service gotten so bad that "well we tried" is apparently good enough and no one even made an effort to let us know there was a problem with getting our electricity turned on and then saying "now it's after business hours you'll have to wait until Monday for the connection" is apparently good enough. The young lady I spoke to originally just passed me off as soon as she realised I was angry. The next lady did contact AusNet on our behalf and did try her best but it still resulted in us not having a resolution to the issue. If there was actually some kind of tracking of new customer connections the issue would have been identified with enough time to get it resolved. Instead you don't provide the required level of service and just take our money. This whole situation was not good enough and I am not a happy customer.

Had problems using the web-site to update my bank account. Sent an email, received a reply promptly that explained why I'd had a problem and which offered to update my details if I provided the information, which I did. A few hours later I received a follow-up email to advise that everything had been done.

Lock in whole apartment buildings into embedded networks, then charge significantly more for power as they have a monopoly. Up their prices constantly because they can.

Problem was solved after a bit of digging.
Maggie was great as I had tried unsuccessfully last week with another staffer.

I had been trying to have this abolishment done since April, however nothing was happening. I spoke with Maggie who took the time to find out what was going on and was able to work it out for me. Maggie was very professional and patient as she too couldn't understand what was going on at the beginning. It was also nice to be able to speak with someone who speaks English.

i believe the 3cent and 8cent payment is a rip off . .and see it as an example of privately run type management is a conjob for large remuneration for upper management . Again the little bloke etc are left with the crumbs.

Mary France was my response person and went above and beyond to help me through my situation. She took the time to understand my needs, provided incredible support, and even recommended helpful changes I wasn’t aware of. She made sure everything was put in place, which truly made my day.
Mary is patient, supportive, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. I felt genuinely listened to and cared for throughout the entire process. I highly recommend her to anyone needing assistance.
Thank you so much, Mary, for your kindness and dedication!

Origin Energy were one of the big driving forces behind the "embedded network" scam. Making agreements with buildings instead of customers and effectively forcing you to use them. I live in an embedded network building run by Origin and they have us over a barrel, effectively laying siege to our building with expensive equipment buybacks even if and when we do manage to pry their hooks out of us. Origin are the absolute worst for this and I will never use them again. My investment properties and business avoid Origin like the plague.
Their own marketing says "Over 4 million Aussie customers choose Origin". Yeah right, and how many of those Aussies are forced against their will to use Origin?

Inconsistent rates communication, when questioned dod not answer the contradictory messages to their benifit.
Have moved on, expect the worst-case when getting rate rise email and leave early to a cheaper provider.
Privatisation has been the worst decision.
