Salesman 405 came in to get us set up…

Salesman 405 came in to get us set up for internet and cable TV. The first guy did not get us set up for the cable we pay through our HOA but this guy came in and took great care of us. He was very courteous and took his time and great care of making sure all was working for us. He did a great job

No internet, no service for $93/month.

Internet service started fine but became intermittent and then gone. Multiple weekends and days with no internet connection. Rebooted the modem and router per the help line with no benefit. Tech service visit accomplished nothing. Orbitel thinks six days in a row with no internet is good business. Essentially no concern for the customer's experience.

Stay away from Saddlebrooke Orbitel for internet.

This review is for the Orbitel Communications in Saddlebrooke Arizona. Stay away from the internet service by this company. Signal is unstable, spotty, and weak. Paid for 100 Mbps download but rarely got it. Upload speed is laughable. My Alexa would never make it more than an hour before loss of signal. No difference for my upgrade from 30 M and 100 M. Customers here are fleeing as a herd to the fiberoptic system recently installed by Comcast Xfinity in Saddlebrooke. Orbitel's service will only get worse as their customer base disappears here. Also, when I changed providers, the staff demanded the original 15 year old modem back. I had purchased two newer generation modems (of the same model, Arris) to handle speed upgrades over the years, but they wouldn't accept either or both units. Cost me $45 for a 15 year old modem that I could not find. I'll never go back to Orbitel for any thing.

Service is never near what I paid for.

Using 5 different online network performance tools on a hardwired computer directly connected to the modem without a router or wifi, I get high ping times along with a high jitter or variance among successive ping tests.
I see packet loss at points as high as 96.7% consistently. Jitters as high as 48.6 regularly. One evening I had orbitel's CMT stumble in with pings as high as 326 with an average of 125 ping. I could not even watch a 5 minute YouTube video without interruption.
Usually the slow downs are between 7 pm and 1 am. It is so bad I can now tell time by when Netflix starts stuttering.
As for tech support, I would say dismissive. Their expert conclusion is always
1. The router (whether it is connected or not) is broken or defective. This is because you the consumer are an idiot.
2. It always is a virus on your Xbox, Samsung TV, Playstation, iPad, PC, Mac, Linux Box, Android, Tablet, or cell phone. No matter which single device you attach, it must be infected with a virus because you the consumer are an idiot.
3. You have bittorrent downloading every movie in the universe on a "hidden" computer in your house that you did not know you have. Why? Because you the consumer are an idiot.
4. Your have 50 MBps service, but because you are using 5G WiFi and getting 5 MBps is normal. If you were not a complete idiot about anything "internet", then you would know this.
