I placed an order with them, but when I tried to contact them regarding the return and refund process, I received no response at all. I have tried to reach them several times, but they have completely ignored my messages and have not provided any return instructions or any proper customer support.

This kind of behaviour is extremely unprofessional and, in my opinion, it feels very suspicious and misleading. A legitimate company should respond to customers, provide clear return information, and respect consumer rights.

I am still waiting for a proper response and a full refund. If they continue to ignore my request, I will escalate the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities.

Based on my experience, I would never buy from this company again and I would not recommend them to anyone.

**its now 22/7/26 and I’ve still not had a refund from bassol optic or the item returned .. still in customs and according to bassol optic it’s my error for not returning as per their t&c .. yet they never responded to me until id returned off my own back ! And they told me not to go via my bank as “it’ll cause delays “ shocking company ! No update and from what I can see they haven’t chased customs at all . ****

I ordered x2 pairs of sunglasses to compare colours . They arrived within 2 on days on 17/6 , I decided instantly what pair I wanted to keep so emailed the company on 17/6 to ask for a returns authorisation … I heard nothing so after around 6 days I returned them myself via Royal Mail insured on 23/6 . I did this so they were returned with the 14 days as stated in their returns policy .

I then the next day received an emailed returns label from bassol
Optic, I notified them that I had already returned them only to be told they didn’t accept them via Royal Mail .

Bit late now as they were on route … they have arrived in Madrid customs and have been there since 25/6.

Bassol optic have advised me they will chase customs . It’s now 7/7 and I’m still waiting … and I’ve not heard anything ..

Optic was 2/7. Which is currently 5 days ago .

My advice would be not to order if you are buying from the uk as they are shocking to deal with .

Purchasing glasses through Bassol Optic was seamless and accommodating. They mailed them to me in the states all the way from Europe. They also sent me personal emails regarding adjustments that needed to be made to my prescription/order. You could tell they cared. I’d recommend to anyone.

When I can expect my order?

I had a very disappointing experience with Bassol Optic.

I received a pair of Gucci sunglasses with a visibly bent right temple. I contacted customer service immediately and returned the glasses without ever wearing them. The product was sent back in exactly the same condition in which it was received.

To support my claim, I provided photos showing the condition of the glasses. However, my evidence was completely disregarded. Instead, the company relied solely on an internal quality control video recorded before shipment, claiming this proved the glasses left their warehouse in perfect condition. In my opinion, such a video cannot demonstrate the condition of the product at the moment it was delivered to the customer.

Despite several emails and detailed explanations, my refund was refused. The company maintained that the deformation must have occurred after shipment, without providing any independent technical assessment. They also chose not to send the glasses to the manufacturer or an independent expert for evaluation, relying only on their own internal conclusions.

As a customer, I expected a fair and impartial investigation, not a decision based exclusively on the seller’s own assessment. I am now forced to pursue the matter through the European Consumer Centre (ECC).

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company. If you decide to order from Bassol Optic, I strongly recommend documenting the condition of your package and product immediately upon delivery.

It is 3. Time I bought from Bassol and all my sunglasses came so fast, in just few days. The best thing is that every time I find a great discount here, or I wait for that… All sunglasses came in perfect condition and I’m 100% they are original.

I ordered a pair of Oliver Peoples OV5571SU Hayton from Bassol Optic after a disappointing experience at Solaris - Marais in Paris, an official Luxottica store, where another Oliver Peoples pair bought at full retail price was given to me with mismatched packaging from other collections.

I have been trying to resolve that issue with Solaris for almost two weeks, but so far I have not received any proper response. That made me cautious about buying another pair from a physical store.

Bassol Optic, however, was excellent. The sunglasses arrived brand new, perfectly authentic, and with the original Oliver Peoples packaging, complete and coherent with the model.

The price was almost half of what I would have paid in the official physical store, while the overall experience was actually better: smooth order, fast delivery, great price and reassuring packaging.

This experience made me reconsider the value of buying luxury eyewear in physical stores. In my case, the full-price in-store purchase felt closer to a display/demo pair experience because of the incomplete and mismatched packaging, while Bassol Optic delivered exactly what I expected from a premium purchase.

I would definitely buy from Bassol Optic again.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I returned the item following the instructions provided, yet I am still waiting for my refund. The complete lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.

I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering from this company until they improve their customer service and refund process.
