My account is not showing any of my upcoming bookings and is not showing my previous history either. As many restaurants charge for no shows, I am concerned that this will happen as I can’t see... See more

Absolute scam
Absolute scam! Believing we had booked a table for lunch in a London pub (Open Table seemingly being the only booking option available on the pub's website), we arrived to find the kitchen closed and the staff unaware of our booking! Luckily my mobile provider had warned me of the charge to reply to the text requesting confirmation of our booking, and hopefully I have succeeded in blocking any further communication from this devious outfit.

Will not accept bad reviews
Will not accept bad reviews! Yes really, just click one star and you will reach an error message screen saying they are working on it. Yet they take a 5 star review just fine. Essentially they can't be trusted.
Charging for reminder opt in messages
Booked at a restaurant and it asked if I wanted to opt in for reminder messages. I pressed yes as there was no mention of any T&Cs. Then when I have received my phone bill it has charged me for the texts. Had a Google and it doesn’t charge the restaurants for this service, only the customers. This definitely needs to be advertised when people are booking.
times keep disappearing
times keep disappearing, then reappearing for no apparent reason. Won't show you all time slots, instead picks less than 5, and most of the time it's completely random, making it a chore to find the time that is closest to what you want. It is a horrible service that no one should have the misfortune of having to use.
Total scam
Total scam, I have received multiple messages saying I have subscribed to Open table I certainly never have now getting messages asking to confirm table bookings 40miles from where I live, if I wish to stop this I have to pay a premium rate for something I’ve never asked for!
Ridiculous I will never use Open Table…
Ridiculous I will never use Open Table again. Posted a review for the Grotto in Boston taking considerable time to review this restaurant. Open Table cut the review to 3 sentences. BS Never Again.
What a bunch of crooks
What a bunch of crooks!
No other option to book table online but no mention of Premium rate Text as reminder. Absolute con.
DO NOT USE!
Hidden premium rate charges. Avoid OpenTable.
Premium rate texts were sent to me to confirm a booking made online via the internet. No mention of charges, but found out when receiving mobile bill. You will even be charged to cancel the texts! Do not book a table with OpenTable. Call the restaurant directly. Avoid.
Premium text charge to confirm booking
Premium text charge to confirm booking. I did it as a courtesy to the restaurant, was not told of premium charge - get a genuine business model, not hidden costs.
Premium text rate to confirm booking
As others have said, this had a premium rate to text back to confirm you still wanted to go for the booking. They did also send an email, so will just have to keep that in mind in future to just confirm by the email, but very cheeky! It's not even like it's texting "STOP" to stop promotional texts, you had to reply otherwise I wasn't sure if we'd still have our table at the restaurant.
No mention of it being a premium…
No mention of it being a premium message service until the bill arrived from O2
This company should be shut down
This company should be shut down. Just look at the reviews. I started getting texts from them saying thanks for subscribing! I don't know why or how but kept getting them so I text stop to them like they say and you get charged for that Text at a premium rate no doubt.
Scam!!
Open Table is business as usual... never mind a pandemic happening!
I am disappointed with Open Table and their thoughtless management of our saved points. During this pandemic across the globe, our points should not have been dropped or called expired for non-use. I really don't want to use their app at all, now.
Open Table is the worst company I have…
Open Table is the worst company I have ever dealt with! I waited on the phone to Chat because impossible to speak with live person over an hour when they disconnected. Their prompts for a ? were not helpful.
Reward Cheque useless
I have yet to find a restaurant that will take the reward cheque. They have a site of restaurants that do not take the cheque but this is clearly just a small subset of restaurants. Customer support isn't much help as they can't do anything from their end.
Terrible App that sadly my favourite…
Terrible App that sadly my favourite restaurant uses now
Have booked twice now and both times it’s got it wrong
1st time I thought it was my error so second time I double checked all info I put in then it booked me a table two months later on confirmation email crap system my advice is don’t download the app
Reservation confirmation charges…
Reservation confirmation charges premium rate to respond.
Will avoid any restaurant that uses this booking system in the future.
Premium service rate charges
I was charged for replying to a text asking for booking confirmation. A previous message stated that standard rates apply however this was not the case.
text notifications charge trap…
They lull you into a really simple trap of asking if you want to receive a text confirmation about your booking, they text you asking to respond and then you get charged for the SMS response.
Highly unnecessary, unprofessional and exploitive practise.
I shall avoid using opentable from now on because of this devious practise.
