Get paid to read books
I am quite new to the site. I joined a few years back, but have been active Lees than a year. I am still learning and growing. But generally, this is a fun and rewarding experience. If you love reading new books and talking/writing about them, this is for you.
Admit a review was performed under a personal bias and agree to carry out a new review. Meanwhile "Iberoamerica Saboteada" the book in question was voted best bokk of 2025 in libertarianism category
The company was honest, positive and constructive
Online Book Club is amazing
Online Book Club is a wonderful organization that provides unique opportunities for its members. Members get books for free. What is more, you get paid to read the book. All you have to do is leave a review - most people like to share their opinions. As you become a seasoned reviewer, other opportunities open up, and your payment for a review increases. I'm not saying you can leave your day job, but you'll make some extra money to do what you love. You get paid regularly and there are no scams. In fact, the owner hates dishonesty. If you love reading, this is a great organization to join.
OnlineBookClub.org a great platform that brings authors and avid readers on one platform!!!
I have been with the team for close to 3 years. I must say, if you have the time and love reading, this is a platform for you. A great collection of books, and genuine fellow readers with whom you can interact about the book, too. What more ??? There is a bonus... You get paid for the reviews, and there are giveaways that you can participate in, too.

Not Paid for Review - Blocked from Payment History
I completed a paid book review for Online Book Club in May 2025 for the book "Deceptive Calm" with an agreement to be paid $50. It is now January 2026, and I still have not received my payment.
When I attempted to check my payment status through their Review Team payment history tab, I discovered I have been blocked from accessing it. The contact form on their website is not working, and I have received no response to my inquiries.
Being blocked from viewing my own payment history while being owed money for completed work is unacceptable. This appears to be a deliberate attempt to avoid paying reviewers.
I cannot recommend this platform to other reviewers. If you're considering doing paid reviews for Online Book Club, be aware that you may face:
Non-payment for completed work
Blocked access to payment information
Unresponsive customer service
I simply want the $50 I earned for work completed 8 months ago.
Update (26th January 2026)
I asked the company to confirm in writing whether the outstanding $50 payment for my approved review (completed in May 2025) would be issued if I removed this review. That question was not answered.
My account remains suspended, I still cannot access my payment history, and payment has not been made. I also attempted third-party mediation through the Better Business Bureau, but the company declined to resolve the matter.
As of now, the payment for work completed over eight months ago remains unpaid.
Response to Company Comment:
This allegation is being raised for the first time now, more than eight months after the review in question was submitted, reviewed, approved by an editor, and assigned a confirmed review number in May 2025.
At no point during submission or approval was plagiarism or AI use alleged, nor was the review rejected on those grounds. If such issues existed, the review would not have been approved or assigned a review number at the time.
The underlying issue remains unchanged: the review was approved, payment was agreed, and the $50 payment has not been made. I have repeatedly requested clarification and evidence regarding these new claims, but none has been provided.
I remain willing to update this review if and when the outstanding payment for the approved work is issued.
Update ( April 2026)
Till date no response or Payment

As an author
As an author, any platform where our work can be reviewed, given visibility, promoted to give us a chance to sell our books, is where we want to be and the onlinebookclub, give us that co-creative experience.
Great support when you need it.
OnLine Book Club has helped whenever I have made requests. They respond quickly and understand what is necessary for a solution. The Support team also express a concern in the needs of their customer. It has been a pleasure to have such a team for support.
The Social networking done to introduce…
The Social networking done to introduce my novel to a wide range of audience was all inclusive and impressive. Because I am not socially (site) adept, I did feel a bit lost at times, trying to navigate from one platform to the next. If there was a way to make this part of the process easier on folks who don't really know Twitter from Instagram, that would be helpful. But as my daughter tells me, get with it, daddy, you should know these things.
I do want to thank you. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I am not sure yet what the effect of the BOTD will be on any sales of my book so any praise for that will need to wait. C Cee Morris
Very nice app intrested i like it
OnlineBookClub.org Does Not Disappoint!
My experience with OnlineBookClub.org has been fantastic! As a book reviewer for OnlineBookClub.org, I have found my experience to be very educational and exciting. Super disappointed author
Super disappointing. For a while there, you would pay OBC for a review, and your book would get a gushing 5-star review. Now you are paying to have amateurs (some in their early 20s) review your book and trash it or worse, give a raving review for garbage. Total waste of money. Our editorial team submitted a terrible book and it got a GREAT review. It was a test. They failed.
Here's the worst part: They promote themselves as "creating bestsellers" on Amazon. It's easy to be an "Amazon bestseller" if you list your book in an obscure category with only 45 books. It would only take 5 people to read the book in one day for it to hold the top-selling spot in its sub-category. OBC is super deceptive. I've published four mediocre books, and each was a "bestseller" in some obscure category because I had four friends buy it at the same time. What they are doing is promoting these authors online as "We did it again! Another best seller!"
Many of the OBC authors are self-published and produce books that are not particularly good. OBC is selling a dream to these people for hundreds of dollars to promote their book. It's sad and a waste of money.

The support staff was awesome
The support staff was awesome. They were exceedingly helpful when I had trouble getting my ebook to them. The experience was great. The review was honest.
I got many detailed reviews for my book.
I got many detailed reviews for my book, and their book-of-the-day feature, for a free book, is worth the money.
Too Difficult to be Worth it
It is nice that they pay you to review books. It gives you an opportunity to read a variety of different books and practice your writing. However, the reviewing process is incredibly strict and if you submit something incorrectly they make you redo it. I submitted a review, the author rejected something so I resubmitted it and then I had to resubmit it again and again. This last time I didn't do it and now I am banned which seems rather dramatic. I also was marked for a different error everytime I resubmitted it which seems odd, almost like the reviewers are not allowed to give a perfect score. They owe me $99 for reviews I've completed at this point. Will I get paid for this? I have no idea. At this point I'm done dealing with their games.
